Just popping in to say I got the striped Katie crew jumper today and after the faux fur coat disappointment, I am really pleased with it. I got the S and it’s perfect.

Talisin · 03/09/2018 20:45

The photos make me look like the side of a house but here you go, Laska. It looks a lot better in real life (unless I’m delusional!)

Ooh and those Maqette boots you posted suddenly reminded me that I have a pair of Chloe Susanna knock-offs in dark red with gold hardware from last year. Dug them out and they work with bare legs and the dress so yay and thanks!

You look lovely in that Talisin and if you look the size of a house then I must look the size of several blocks of flats ! Grin..

Love the sound of the boots ..they would go really well by the sound of it

SoyYo · 03/09/2018 21:29

talisin love the Emmanuelle on you 😍 it is super flattering on your shape and love the gold flecks in the fabric too (stars I think?)

redtulip12 · 03/09/2018 21:42

@Talisin Emmanuelle looks great on you. I got the black. Beginning to wish I had tried the blue too but too late now as have worn it!

Ellapaella · 03/09/2018 21:48

@Talisin you look lovely - I really like it on you.

Talisin · 03/09/2018 21:59

Aww thanks guysBlush SoyYo gold bits are little arrows - they used the same material for a version of the Yasmin dress last year or the year before I think. redtulip I debated whether to get the star one instead but I’m trying to wrench myself away from black at the moment, might get it if it goes in the end of year sale though!

dontcallmelen · 03/09/2018 22:15

Talisin dress really suits you, yes I think we must be very near Pm me if you want to meet for coffee

Nearlyadoctor · 04/09/2018 06:53

@Talisin - the dress looks really great on you. I went for the black for the opposite reason as I have so much navy !

missfliss · 04/09/2018 07:00

@Talisin looks fab! I got the same one, I love the little arrows

Laska5772 · 04/09/2018 08:32

Oh poor back to work.. I've decided that I much prefer my days off ! but then there is my Hush habit to think of
Wearing red white striped raw edge linen T and chambray pocket skirt. Red salties. I love this outfit..

Thegirlisnotright · 04/09/2018 09:44

Does anyone have a discount code?
And what are the Morgan joggers (or any of the other joggers) like length wise? I’m quite tall. Thank you!

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 12:26

girl, I’m 5’7, and all the joggers are fine on me, but don’t have a massive amount of spare length.

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 12:31

Re discount codes, no, there are none. Can pm you my referral code if you want, and you’ll get £10 off a first order?

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 12:35

Just thinking about hush mention-me codes. Is there a way to make the link anonymous? I don’t mind sending them by pm with my name showing, but don’t really want to randomly post my full name on the open forum.

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 13:45

I’ve had mail! Meg skirt and black Katie crew. Both going back, do nothing for me. Red ‘scarlett’ jumper. Again, meh for the money. Back it goes. I had this in grey last year and forgot till I saw the red one that itshed constantly. Wine raglan sleeve and grey Amies - will keep both.

Sissy draped shirt. Not sure? I’m put off by the fact that now issue a warning with all their viscosethat it might shrink by 5%. Presumably to avoid a situation like the wide leg trousers last season, but I really feel at the price point that fabric should be pre-shrunk. AIBU? Finally wide jersey top and zebra leggings. I’m a bit WTAF about these but they are very comfy. Not sure if I could leave the house though!

I don't post here often, but do lurk regularly. I enjoy reading about everyone's buys but I'm afraid I'm too shy/fat/don't have a decent full length mirror to post posts of myself here.

I got my Autumn catalogue in today, which is quite ironic as I feel as if I'm all Hushed out already this season. I placed a few orders earlier on and it was all very hit and miss.

The hits were the wine leopard print Ivy - I adore it; the black Rainbow tee - it takes me back to 1981 in a heartbeat, which is always a good thing; and the black wide v neck top. I even machine washed that without any ill effects. I also picked up another pair of black harems because it would be rude not to with 10% off.

The misses were the rouched skirt - I'm too fat for a lot of Hush stuff but XL almost always fits. Not so here - far too tight and far too short! Not flattering on my figure at all. I also got the burgundy Tara polo neck dress and this was even worse, it just accentuated every bad area of my body

I was disappointed with the Raven A line dress in the green/lightning bolt print. I adored it on the website, but on me it just looked washed out. I know it's a marl green, but it's too pale a green in my opinion. I decided to try again with the lightning bolt and went for the wine raglan top featuring the print. It was even more disappointing than the dress - very poor viscose/elastane woven fabric. I thought it was jersey so would hang well, but it was a just cheap looking rag and vastly overpriced.

I would love the black boyfriend cashmere jumper but I couldn't afford to buy it while the discount code was available, and £18.50 isn't that much of a saving. I have a decent pay rise due at the end of the month with 6 months' back pay. That might be my treat to myself, though I could get a coat for the same money...

EachandEveryone · 04/09/2018 14:56

Im assuming you are the same age as me going by your user name. Elizabeth Fraser played in a coffee shop in soho the other night i saw on Twitter. In 1981 i would never have dreamed i would be spending £49 on a pair of leggings. Not when i customised all my clothes from a charity shop. As we all did. Im like a sheep now!

Nearlyadoctor · 04/09/2018 15:02

@ilovecherries - agree re red scarlet jumper. The Sissy draped shirt, I would say I’ve seen you in better, it’s a bit Classic M&S for me and the shrinking issue is a bit rubbish as well. With regard to the Meg skirt and jumper I’m going to disagree as I really like that outfit on you, easily dressed up or down and looks stylish.
Grey wide neck, leggings, Arnies and raglan top are all things I have and wear so would be biased on, but they are all really useful. The wide top, with leggings and boots you can certainly leave the house in, they look good and show off your now slim figure.

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 15:11

Thanks nearly. I thought the meg skirt made me look chunky. This is a 12 and plenty room in it but I don’t think I look like a 12 wearing it. I’m beginning to think that a short skirt somehow makes me look more booby, if that is even possible!

ilovecherries · 04/09/2018 15:13

Classic M&S Grin! You’re right, hadn’t thought that initially but that’s completely correct. Back it goes.

CocteauTwin · 04/09/2018 15:31

I’m 54 and heard about Elizabeth Fraser’s gig last night! I wish I could have been there, I have been a fan since I was 18.
I didn’t buy many clothes at that age, I spent far more on records and going to gigs!
