I don't post here often, but do lurk regularly. I enjoy reading about everyone's buys but I'm afraid I'm too shy/fat/don't have a decent full length mirror to post posts of myself here.
I got my Autumn catalogue in today, which is quite ironic as I feel as if I'm all Hushed out already this season. I placed a few orders earlier on and it was all very hit and miss.
The hits were the wine leopard print Ivy - I adore it; the black Rainbow tee - it takes me back to 1981 in a heartbeat, which is always a good thing; and the black wide v neck top. I even machine washed that without any ill effects. I also picked up another pair of black harems because it would be rude not to with 10% off.
The misses were the rouched skirt - I'm too fat for a lot of Hush stuff but XL almost always fits. Not so here - far too tight and far too short! Not flattering on my figure at all. I also got the burgundy Tara polo neck dress and this was even worse, it just accentuated every bad area of my body
I was disappointed with the Raven A line dress in the green/lightning bolt print. I adored it on the website, but on me it just looked washed out. I know it's a marl green, but it's too pale a green in my opinion. I decided to try again with the lightning bolt and went for the wine raglan top featuring the print. It was even more disappointing than the dress - very poor viscose/elastane woven fabric. I thought it was jersey so would hang well, but it was a just cheap looking rag and vastly overpriced.
I would love the black boyfriend cashmere jumper but I couldn't afford to buy it while the discount code was available, and £18.50 isn't that much of a saving. I have a decent pay rise due at the end of the month with 6 months' back pay. That might be my treat to myself, though I could get a coat for the same money...
