Thanks Huff..I really have to stop now so will sit back and admire everyone else's stuff for a bit now!

@dontcallmelen - I got the XS wide top as it seems to come up on the largish side.

Oh yes, my beloved Ercol sideboard..I'ma bit of a furniture slut! I LOVE mid-century modern stuff. The sideboard is plonked in my bedroom as we just idon'thave any room for it!

OH facepalms every time I bring a new piece of old furniture home!

OMG ella I wore DM boots constantly in the early 1990's!

I never thought they'd resurface again but I am seeing them everywhere now!

Takes me back to me goth/alternative days! grin

I had a purple pair an old boyfriend bought me when I was 19.

I chucked them out about 6 months ago...what a plonker!

@Nearlyadoctor Doesn't look much on the website but I saw it in Fenwicks and couldn't help myself. It's so so soft and I love that colour. Ordered online to get the 10% off for first order as it's sooo pricy for a scarf

Agreed @Ellapaella plain black is most versatile. I love them but I don't think my legs are right for them, too top heavy. I think I'll get those Zalando biker boots I posted a while back instead when I've had some backpay in October. The DMs will look amazing on you though! You'll get a lot of use from them and meant to be very comfortable

Gilbert82 · 02/09/2018 21:08

I caved and placed another order today! Charcoal wide jersey top and a couple of necklaces (double star pendant and star choker which I was thinking I could layer and wear them together).
I used to live in DM’s as a teenager! I remember getting a pair of cherry red boots and them ripping my heels to shreds whilst out on my paper round at 5 in the morning! Had to hobble round then back home, my socks were stuck to my heels when I got in!

dontcallmelen · 02/09/2018 21:10

@DavetheCat, me too my dream is to have a ginormous shed in the garden, so that I can buy & store furniture in & when I get bored with stuff nip out to shed & ring in the changes.

Ellapaella · 02/09/2018 21:10

Oh yes I had my first pair for Christmas when I was 14 - I wore them with tie dyed skirts and leggings and black cherry Rimmel lipstick, finished off with a spritz of Body shop White Musk or Dewberry! I have vivid memories of the happiest summer ever with my friends lying by the river listening to The Levellers album 'Levelling the Land', wearing our DM's and talking about all the things we were going to do when we left school. Life was so full of promise and excitement back then.
The good old days.

Huffthepuff · 02/09/2018 21:11

Oh yes @Ellapaella the yellow laces - classics! Good choice. I actually quite like the vintage style brown ones too. Keep spotting them on Pinterest paired with tea dresses and chunky knit cardigans Smile

Nearlyadoctor · 02/09/2018 21:12

@Huff lovely scarf but as you say quite pricey.
Love the DM’s @Ella and have always fancied a pair but just don’t think they’re me. I think they’ll look great the way you’re planning to style them.

Nearlyadoctor · 02/09/2018 21:14

Black cherry lipstick, white musk and Dewberry- our youths were obviously very similar @Ella, we must be a similar age.

Ellapaella · 02/09/2018 21:20

@Nearlyadoctor I'm 40 next year.

Nearlyadoctor · 02/09/2018 21:23

I was 47 last week @Ella so a fair bit older , opposite ends of the same era possibly.

dontcallmelen · 02/09/2018 21:25

I’m very old, in my teenage years I wore a black crombie with red lining & red pocket scarf, teamed with a tonic skirt & Ben Sherman shirt & cherry red DMs, my boyfriend wore stapressed trousers & Harrington jacket.

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/09/2018 21:25

Big fat fail! Caved at the last minute and ordered the Halley Dress, Alexas Frill tee and Rainbow Boxy Tee. Hopefully will love at least one of them!

I emailed Me+Em not that long ago to ask which products they would recommend for me as am 5'1". The girl was super helpful in her reply (although I didn't buy anything in the end). There is a 20% off sale price code somewhere but mostly still a bit pricey for me.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/09/2018 21:26

I remember the body shop dewberry. OMG it was so popular when I was about 17 / 18 and I am 50 so a good 10 years older than you. My best friend at the time wore dm's constantly with tie dye skirt, gypsy skirts, skinny jeans and scarves. She was a bit of a hippy and so was I. I was very much into indian clothes [ not indian as in sarees but embroidered skirts with mirrors and cheese cloth tops and such like. We were the alternatives into rock and metal music rather than the 80's pop rubbish that was out at the time [no offence]

neveradullmoment99 · 02/09/2018 21:30

@Ella - Have you seen the gorgeous embossed black leather DM's? They are on my wish list!

neveradullmoment99 · 02/09/2018 21:31

I would love to come meet you all but unfortunately its just too far for me and I am trying to save my pennies for my holiday next year. Sad to miss out though.

Ellapaella · 02/09/2018 21:34

Sounds like you were very cool Len.
@Nearlyadoctor you are the same age as my DH. We listened to all the same bands/music as teenagers/early 20's. 8 years seems like a massive age gap when you're a teenager but when you hit your mid 20's + it's nothing really!
I have so much nostalgia for those days. My style icon back then was Kate Moss. It was all ruined by the arrival of the Spice Girls - that 90's style is all making a come back now! I never thought I'd see that happening!

Gilbert82 · 02/09/2018 21:34

I’m mid-thirties and wore my DMs with combat trousers from an army surplus shop and band tshirts!

Ellapaella · 02/09/2018 21:35

Have you got a link @neveradullmoment99?

Ellapaella · 02/09/2018 21:36

@Gilbert82 I had combat trousers - a khaki coloured pair.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/09/2018 21:37

They are gorgeous but did you say that Pascal are narrow?

dontcallmelen · 02/09/2018 21:42

never maybe for a very short while, then I became a very young mum & that ended my days of being a bit cool, couldn’t carry off the look whilst pushing a massive secondhand silver cross pram, that I couldn’t see over the hood as I’m so short😂

DavetheCat2001 · 02/09/2018 21:47

oooh those are gorgeous never
