There have been a few Richards. There's currently Richard, Duke of Gloucester - who is patron of the society dedicated to the other Richard, Duke of Gloucester.

Clionba · 24/09/2018 21:08

Yes, I noticed he was at the funeral service at Leicester cathedral!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/09/2018 21:18

I read somewhere that she has to ditch the chemical straightening as soon as she is pregnant because of the chemicals. Those roots definitely have a hint of curl to them. Lets see how they cope with the humidity of the pacific islands. Also, how loose will her dress be for Euj's wedding?

OlennasWimple · 24/09/2018 21:23

By Eugenie's wedding we might have had an announcement?

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 24/09/2018 21:24

I agree with you OP that top would have been better with a pencil skirt and I love navy and black together, i just can’t get on board with the bootcuts. I agree Kate always looks fab in sports gear and yes you can tell she would be captain of the hockey team, she looks naturally sporty, Meghan on the other hand although beautifully slim I would not pick her for my netball team, she just looks a bit....... feeble! Bet she would make a good ballroom dancer though......

OlennasWimple · 24/09/2018 21:25

If so, poor Eugenie - first she had to delay her wedding for H&M, now she could have her thunder stolen with a pregnancy announcement.... 9Friends reference deliberate)

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2018 21:32

@BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo I think Kate actually was hockey captain at Marlborough! She seems very outdoorsy but Meghan seems more yoga/pilatesy.

dinosaurkisses · 24/09/2018 21:37

Surely Meghan would have to be decently far gone to have even a hint of a bump when fully dressed? With all that Pilates and yoga the woman will have abs of steel.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 24/09/2018 21:40

LOL Queen I bet she was Headgirl as well! She is very Malory Towers!

OlennasWimple · 24/09/2018 21:48

DM on Kate at school Charlotte is the spit of Kate aged 6. Wowsers, look at Carole's cheekbones!

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2018 21:51

If there's Zika in some of the areas H&M are visiting then there's no way they'll be risking pregnancy right now. And if she was then they would've probably cancelled the tour by now, or announced a change in their itinerary.

I can understand the palace handling a pregnancy delicately, confirming only when absolutely certain etc. Pippa Middleton must have had the longest pregnancy in history. It must be at least 2 yearsGrin!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/09/2018 05:36

Gosh is Pippa still pregnant?!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/09/2018 05:40

The zika virus is definitely on the route of H & M royal tour. Meg’s will have to wait 6 months before tic.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 25/09/2018 05:43

Posted too soon. There is always a possibility that Meghan could do the Aussie leg; they could announce the pregnancy & then Harry goes on to,do the Pacific Islands by himself. Meg’s is 37; so you could understand why they want to crack on. Otherwise she will be pushing 38 before ttc.

WipsGlitter · 25/09/2018 07:07

They will have access to the best IVF so I'd not worry too much about her age. Wonder if they'll go for Hollywood boy / girl twins a la the Clooneys.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2018 07:14

Megs is at the RA for an exhibition opening tonight so any bets on outfits? I'm going with a black or navy dress...

Love the photos of Kate dressed down - she appears much more relaxed.

Paradyning · 25/09/2018 09:17

My money's in a navy jumpsuit with spike heels

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2018 09:27

Oh yes, I can see Meghan bringing jumpsuits into the royal family. Although perhaps Sophie has worn one in the past? On another note, I several stores are selling new season jumpers with boat necks now, something I haven't noticed in seasons past. The Meghan effect?

I spent WAAAAY too long reading this entire thread yesterday. I love a bit of friendly royal watching/ gossip! So marking my place.

For the record, I also had a raised brow over the navy and black. I thought I was the only one who still had issues with that! Glad it's not just me.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2018 09:48

For me it wasn't so much the navy/black combination as it was the style of the top not really going with the trousers. Online {{https://www.modaoperandi.com/oscar-de-la-renta-r19/draped-blouse?siteID=J84DHJLQkR4-NAAT5F8AvzU5mOs6Q0zLMw&utm_medium=Linkshare&utm_source=ShopStyle+(US)&mid=40524&utm_medium=Linkshare&utm_source=QFGLnEolOWg&utm_content=rewardStyle&utm_campaign=1&siteID=QFGLnEolOWg-WrHMsGeceSQl1wE6xnxkoA it's paired with a pair of skinnier ankle-length trousers]], which I think looks better than bootcut. But apparently bootcuts are back in this winter (cropped bootcuts, no less!) so what do I know??

Will he not be William the 1st of Britain or have there been other Williams of Britain?

Like James - he was James I of Britain but VI of Scotland.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2018 10:18

There have been 4 previous Williams, 2 of England and 2 of the UK.
