DH was in Cologne recently and bought me a bunch of Aqua Colonia stuff. So far the winner is pink pepper and blood orange. It's very fresh, a bit Molton Brown and I love it.

Maxed Out needs to be experienced! Entertaining, but challenging to wear beyond a certain age. Smells amazing on sweaty fresh-faced teens, positively seedy on the life-worn.

Love Goodbye Piccadilly. Maxed Out does not work for me at all- had a sample of it a while ago and one of the only 4160s I’ve had to scrub!

I won a bottle of Maxed Out in one of their facebook contests! it's certainly an experience! I look younger than my actual age or so people are constantly telling me so i just about get away with it! just yesterday I was asked for ID in sainsburys so there must be something in it even if i don't see it myself

SOTD Gigi Jardin d’ecrivans. Smells like air freshener to my nose. Not great. Heading to a wedding oop North in the car, have just oversprayed with imaginary Authors memoirs of a trespasser. That’s better.

Dearie me I'm in a tizz over Maxed out now. Very curious about it but definitely life worn rather than fresh faced. I don't think I was ever fresh faced...

Anybody up for some Friday evening enabling helping out? Keep being tempted by TKMaxx and the L'artisan Perfumeur bottles but feeling my blind buy luck will run out soon. Struggling to find anywhere doing samples though - only found website and the range was teeny. Any ideas?

the blue is lovely mrsR i miss my bright pink or bright purple hair but it's far too much upkeep these days, my poor body can't cope with that level of work to keep a hair colour and i would absolutely resent paying to have it done when i know i could do the same job myself if i was well enough

I haven't read the whole thread but is this a place I can ask for device on perfumes? I need something new!

A colleague wears a beautiful and very expensive oud, probably too much for me to wear daily, but I love it.

I recently tested a Miller Harris(?) at duty free which was nice but still a bit expensive at £125 odd.... can anyone vouch for this brand? I've not really come across it before.

Cheap, scentsamples has a fair few to try

egdeh - there's a lot of love for Miller Harris on these threads. They are generally good quality fragrances, although possibly a wee bit over-priced. Can be found in TKMaxx etc pretty regularly, though. My favourites are L'air de rien (patchouli, amber and unwashed bedlinen ), Terre d'Iris (fresh, green iris) and Etui Noir (a wonderful smoky leather and iris, really fabulous). Other perfumistas here love Noix de Tubereuse and Fleurs de Sel. Well worth checking out.

Yes - not all their stock though, you have to go to the stores to find the real bargains. But always worth a look. They have a lot of L'artisan Parfumeur at the moment.
