Thank you Fennel on two counts; Centrepiece has arrived safely , and the allbeauty tip has me salivating. Really fancy trying Habit Rouge (anyone have views?), and the Shalimar soap is also calling to me.

30ml of Habanita EDP for 18 Pounds (keyboard symbol fail) is an absolute steal. Fabulous stuff.

Has anyone tried Liquid Cashmere Black? Black cherries and chocolate make me think of your creation, Calm .

I've fallen in love! One of the few 4160s that I've not tried before, arrived as part of a FB swap. Pillow Talk - sweet, soft, sexy sandalwood. Absolutely lovely. We don't talk much about this one, do we? But it's a real little gem, imo.

MrsL, so glad it arrived. I forgot to say that I bought a bottle of Habanita recently; I agree it's fab although I think it will come into its own for me once the weather turns cooler. As for Liquid Cashmere Black - I've been tempted but what I really want to try is the original Black Cashmere...

So, my lovely perfumistas, if you had to choose either Shalimar or Mitsouko, which would you go for?

SotD Noel au Balcon. Both the DDs love this so I get lots of cuddles when I wear it. Suspect it will be a comforting winter scent.

Had a squirt of FS's Black Lotus earlier. Do quite like this - saffron, rose, pepper and softish, easy to wear leather.

Anyone tried their Ylang-Ylang Espresso? Was only my second ever scrubber of recent years, but perhaps I was just in a funny mood?

I am a Guerlain lover people...so perversely I can’t advise on the sale. I’m one of the weirdos s who dislikes Shalimar. Mitsouko is otherworldly. Don’t know Vol de Nuit well enough to advise. L’Heure Bleue, L’Apres l’Ondee and Chamade are my great loves.

SOTE (to repeat lol) is Nerolia Bianca. I have to be in the mood for it. But it’s delicious. Fresh, floral, citrusy, bitter. The best neroli there is. Usually very snotty about Guerlain Aqua Allegoria, bit this is the business. Beaut.

Thank you for the recommendations of fresh summery perfumes. It’s just typical that allbeauty.com excluded herba Fresca and nerolia bianca from their Guerlain sale! So instead I ended up with a 90ml bottle of Shalimar EDP, which I love for colder weather. It’ll be my 4th bottle of the stuff, although I normally buy the 50ml bottles, but at that price. Totally useless for summer though!

Welcoming myself to another early start at the airport with Chanel exclusifs. Half of me is in Bois de iles, the other in sycamore. BDI is as gorgeous as ever- powdery, woody iris (wood is sandalwood). Sycomore is winning today though, it’s quite a bright and green floral with citrus top notes, also woody. I do not know what the notes are - so I might be completely wrong- buts it’s definitely a fresh Chanel suitable for hotter weather. Impressed. I also sprayed the inside of my elbow with La Pausa- it’s Chanel’s ode to iris. It smells fabulous on the card on first spray (but the iris has faded a lot - it was a very earthy carroty iris), on my skin there’s a lot of citrus and no hint of iris yet. I have an unloved mini of this at home. No wonder.

MrsLucas doesn’t the Floral Street Black Lotus smell like a rose in a black leather jacket! I quite like ylang expresso - does what it says on the tinbottle but I wouldn’t purchase it.

This morning I'm in White Queen. Am presenting at a conference today so perhaps should have gone for something with a little more ooompf, but this is lovely nonetheless.

Well I am no help as I would say at those prices it would make sense to stock up Shalimar and Mitsouko Also very tempted by the Shalimar soap. Our local TK Maxx is pants for perfume, I have found, but does have lovely soap. I'm sure we must have discussed soap before - are we all bar soap lovers? It always amuses me that bar soap has had such a resurgence on MN recently!

ForSale I love Herba Fresca too - I was also going to recommend some colognes from here but the name escapes me - I'm sure others will remember, I think the name had a or began with A and they did a little sample set of mini bottles? Possibly the word soleil was involved with my favourite ones? Googling is no help and my shaky memory is really driving me mad atm. My hands are all scribbled over with reminders (ooh Shalimar soap would help with that )

Thanks dope I might sniff out some Blue, it seems to be everywhere I look atm so Maybe is having a resurgence?

Morning all, it's been lovely weather here the last few days and I've been alternating between MH Lumiere Doree and PP Gucci Envy (I've only got the smallest rollerball of this but its lovely so will definitely buy a bigger one). A bit cooler today so think I will go for MH Tender which I am also loving a lot atm.

Touched down, waiting for taxi. Bois de iles is now winning. I smell lovely- shame where I’ve arrived smells of manure!

Lost my perfume mojo for a few days. Lots of bugs in the family and then when everyone was well again, I caught one! SOTD Next Cashmere- a nice comforting scent. Very tempted by Midnight in the palace garden....
