positivepineapple · 24/05/2018 12:59

Hope your mum is ok MrsR?

Sotd is Avery E

teta · 24/05/2018 13:39

MrsR I hope your day is going ok.
We’ve done Buckingham Palace and Sotd was White Gold by Ormonde Jayne. The lovely male assistant in Harrods gave me some Ormonde Jayne samples and I think I prefer White gold to Tsarina.
I also bought a box of 3 mixed bottles of Acqua di Parma and tried so many perfumes I’ve never been able to try before. The Nasomotto and Malle sales people were so lovely in Harrods. The ones in Harvey Nichols were ok, but some were appalling and rude.

mrsreynolds · 24/05/2018 13:51

She's coming home today or tomorrow.
Thank you.

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 14:11

Yey Flowers

LibertyBlue · 24/05/2018 15:36

Hope everything ok mrsR Flowers

SOTD is 4160 Tuesdays Amberama- with a bit of Eau d’chlorine as I’ve been swimming on my day off

Webchat tonight - can’t make it but have posted a couple of questions and will check back later

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 24/05/2018 17:43

Hope all is ok with your mum mrs reynolds Flowers SOTD 4160 Truth Beauty Freedom Love. Absolutely love this; apricotty goodness. Hoping to join the web chat but dd teething quite badly so may have to read tomorrow.

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 20:00

Same here Coffee, like and apricot refresher with something or other a bit more grown up.

mrsreynolds · 24/05/2018 20:11

Severe chest infection
But no clot thank goodness

Sote sexiest scent extrait in honour of the web chat ❤

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 20:11

Sarah about TBFL

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 22:05

Gosh the webchat whizzed by really quickly.

Now back to Knicker-Dropper Glory, whose knickers? I'm rather starting to think the target audience should be men over 50 something.
So rice pudding and bacon...

auberginesrus · 24/05/2018 22:10

It was great - thank you to whoever it was who contacted MNHQ to organise (was it Mrs G?)

I think of Knicker Dropper Glory like a naughty seaside postcard - the smell of coal tar soap, ice cream and knotted hankies (cotton)

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 22:11

Oh yes, coal tar soap does it for DH.

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 24/05/2018 22:11

Really enjoyed the web chat. Those who have bought scenthusiasm you are in for a treat. I keep getting asked about it whenever I wear it.

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 22:29

Fragrance Shop has MG Plum purse sprays for £4 , worth keeping an eye on the site, they are clearing their cupboards.

Blue try Truth Beauty Freedom Love, once you are past the crazy apricot top notes it is lovely and orrisy.

MrsLucas · 24/05/2018 22:57

Oh, thanks Pest - I want some of those.

Figuring out what would go into a pastiche of something aiming to be gut-wrenchingly seductive is actually quite hard! I like those ideas Aubergine. Or maybe a retro throw-back to those big warm/sweet aromatic aftershaves of old (tonka, anise, cinnamon and geranium)?

And Aubergine - it was Wink.

PestymcPestFace · 24/05/2018 23:13

So far we are on rice pudding, bacon, coal tar soap, ice cream, knotted hankies (cotton), tonka, anise, cinnamon and geranium with coffee no doubt. Now there is a challenge for a Nose. Make that list palatable. We need Sarah, Andy and Francis Kurkdjian on the case, any others?

UnnecessaryFennel · 25/05/2018 06:43

Oh god I can't believe I missed the webchat! Completely forgot about it! Will have a read now.

CountFosco · 25/05/2018 06:58

SotD has to be a 4160T after the webchat so Goodbye Piccadilly here today.

Calmwhoknows · 25/05/2018 07:08

Enjoyed the webchat yesterday. I didn’t join in because I was quite happy to read the responses to questions asked. I’m very tempted by Scenthusiasm, but have so many 4160s already, I probably need to use what I have!

MrsGruber · 25/05/2018 07:44

MG purse sprays were £3.20 with a code. Crazy. That's a bit more Xmas shopping done ...Do you think shops are selling off their remaining stock at similar prices?

Ollivander84 · 25/05/2018 07:58

SOTD gold sugar

mrsreynolds · 25/05/2018 08:00

Sotd obsession

positivepineapple · 25/05/2018 08:14

I only remembered about the web chat at about 9.45! I did enjoy reading the thread though. Sarah is an inspiration.

I am also tempted by Scenthusiasm, I'm going to wait and see what SOTW is before I order. I'm hoping for Tokyo Spring Blossom.

My suggestion for Knicker Dropper Glory - Maraschino cherry

I'm glad to hear your mum is doing well MrsR Smile

OCSock · 25/05/2018 08:36

Flowers to MrsR's mum, and here's hoping she's feeling better soonest.

Enjoyed the webchat yesterday, and also quite tempted by the gin fragrance; it's in my basket, but I haven't pressed buy because the line says Eau my Soul, not Scenthusiasm... I know Eau my Soul has had a whole lotta love here so it probably would not be catatrophic, except for my bank statement which has taken a caning this month.

SoTD is going to be Tokyo Spring Blossom.
