Here we go again... A merry whirl of things of things that smell delicious (and sometimes not).

SotD Mrs Gloss Outdoors for a day outdoors. Had a picnic in the grounds of Kiplin Hall. They have baskets at the door with garden games which went down very well with the kids then we had lemon curd icecream served in teacups and made with lemons from the kitchen garden!

Hello scented ladies! SoTD is Rhubarb & Citrus, which works as well in summer as one could hope; an FB to live in the fridge is starting to feel essential. And now that I am finished with the pressure washer for a few months, I can enjoy it.

SotD was Eat Flowers. Really wish I could fast forward the initial smell on this one - love the dry down but first spray isn't my kind of thing.

Hid from the sun in air conned shopping centre during middle of the day and popped into Next. No cashmere testers out but had a spray of sparkling citrus and it was lovely for the weather - all fresh and zingy!

Ooh, a couple of Miller Harrises and Tom Fords on TKMaxx website. Orchid Soliel on there - wasn't one of us after that a while back or am I getting mixed up?

Have been sitting under the cherry tree trying to get back into Alyssa Harad, but kept getting splashed from the paddling pool. So nipped out for Zoflora, Calm's favourite benzoin wipes, and some flat breads.

Delighted to have come back with the new jasmine and honeysuckle special edition Zoflora, some lovely mysore sandalwood soap from the Turkish supermarket, and some brilliant 3-drawer storage units from Wilko, which look like they were made for boxes of perfume . They slide under a desk but look built-in. They were £8 each, reduced from a still pretty bargainous £35.

And I didn't buy any perfume .

Hello! I’m venturing in for some advice. I love wearing diptyque philosykos in summer, however it isn’t long lasting enough and is quite expensive for everyday wear. I did use the body shop file, Italian summer fig, however it’s been discontinued. Can anybody recommend a green fig scent that is reasonably priced?

Hello Chester. The Library of Fragrance Fig Leaf? If you fancied a splurge, Ninfeo Mio is great (sometimes turns up in 15ml bottles on eBay).

SOTD is MH Rose Silence that came free with Harper’s. I do like this a lot.

chester I also love Philosykos, and find the matching body lotion gives it a lot more longevity. I find Ninfeo Mio really sharp in comparison, I actually gave my bottle away.

Nearly wore LoF Fig Leaf this morning, but, ironically, didn't bother because I thought I'd have to keep respraying!

So SOTD is Babylon Sunset. Not usually a fan of peach but this is sweet without being sickly and generally rather agreeable.

Scored a fb of dune in TKMaxx. One of very few on my fb list. Bad timing as i need shoes this month but i snapped it up. Pleased.
I hsve premier figuiere - l'artisan parfumeur. Its lovely but a woody and dry fig rather 5er than a green fig. Twas another TKMaxx find - back when they changed the packaging.

Morning all. Was scorchio here yesterday so made the most of it with WIDOMH which was perfect, except for we went for a walk round a reservoir in the Peak District rather than the seaside. Lasts well though!

Still warm but a bit cooler today and I'm in Rose Silence for the office.

I’ve been wearing Hermes Pamplemousse Rose all weekend as it’s so lovely in the heat. The only excursion has been into town to buy a jacket for dd’s forthcoming trip to Buckingham’s Palace for DofE. Rather tempted to order Tsarina from Ormonde Jayne for that!

Weather continues to be glorious here- SOTD the long discontinued Bvlgari rose essentialle. A light green and fruity rose that I use very sparingly as only have about 30ml remaining. Apparently they reformulated recently and renamed and it’s just not the same!

Hmmm, Babylon Sunset has all but disappeared - my skin does seem to be drinking perfume at the moment. Might respray with trusty Rose Silence.

SotDEA Green Tea which seems to be becoming my go to CBA option in the heat. Office is roasting, at least the labs are air conditioned.

All this fig talk had me reaching for the Ninfeo Mio. Galbanum, lemon, lavender & fig. This has remarkable staying power.
