I’ve had some people comment lately that I wear too much make up so I’m after honest opinions please? I’ll be reporting asking for the picture to get deleted soon but just want a few opinions first. I love wearing makeup and enjoy doing it and don’t feel it looks too much but maybe I’m not seeing it objectively. Thank you.

I'm 29 so younger than most people have guessed. Thanks for all the advice everyone, I've taken it on board and will hopefully be able to change the things suggested Smile

TravellingTulip makeup is very ageing. I think you would look younger than 29 if you wore just a little to enhance, try a tinted moisturiser instead - the pixi one is good x and just wear natural brown eyebrow pencil and natural brown or clear mascara x

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 30/03/2018 17:16

No make up isn’t necessarily ageing. Badly applied, wrong hues will age
It’s a bit like clothes, wrong clothes you’ll age and not look so good

ilikebread · 30/03/2018 17:17

LipstickHandbagCoffee I meant to say lots of makeup is aging sorry! 😊

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 30/03/2018 17:23

In that case I agree

Zeelove · 30/03/2018 17:26

See no photo but how much is too much? I wear a full face everyday.

colditz · 30/03/2018 18:01

Did you buy a new foundation? I would love to see the difference when you've bought one.

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2018 18:18

Yay, I said 30. Halo

Does anyone know how I upload a pic to my account? Mumsnet asked me to upload it that way next time so I can delete it myself but I can't figure out how. I've got an updated pic to show you all with a little less makeup Smile

On your My Mumsnet tab there's a section called My Gallery where you can upload and delete photos. If you want to share them you can say pic on my profile and then remove it when you want to. HTH

JessicaJonesJacket · 31/03/2018 14:23

Thanks @GardenGeek. I may try it for my Easter Sunday look Grin

TravellingTulip · 06/04/2018 12:45

It's taken me a while to get round of it because I couldn't figure out how to upload my pic to my profile rather than on here so I'm just going to go for it and then ask mumsnet to delete. Here is me with no makeup 🙈 it's not a pretty sight so I'll be asking for it to come down very soon!

That's no makeup, no fake tan, no false lashes. I can't believe I've just put that picture online 😬

i think you look lovely...

are we getting a pic of you with the new makeup look too?

Tantpoke · 06/04/2018 12:52

You look lovely, really young and fresh.

In fact based on this post and your initial photo (the colours of which I also use as I have long hair the same colour as you)

I went out and bought Nars tinted moisturiser in Alaska, which I love and yesterday I just put some pinky peachy blush on the apple of my cheeks and as eyeshadow and some mascara and I looked and felt really fresh and summery and dare I say it looked younger because of it.

In fact my DD 10 said it looked much better than the day before in my usual make up

TravellingTulip · 06/04/2018 13:03

Here's a more minimal makeup look too. With a new foundation (which I'm not sure about), a small amount of blusher and highlighter, mascara, lipstick & lip pencil. I've also filled in my brows which I'm hopeless at so needs some work. What do we think?

MadMags · 06/04/2018 13:05

Much, MUCH better. You’re gorgeous!

bigsighall · 06/04/2018 13:11

I didn’t see the first picture but you look lovely in the other 2. I always think less is more.

whereiscaroline · 06/04/2018 13:21

You look great! What foundation are you wearing?

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 06/04/2018 13:27

I didn't see your first picture but you look lovely with no makeup on! And your final makeup looks really nice too!

MinisWin · 06/04/2018 13:32

You look really great. I saw the first picture, which looked lovely for a night out, but you are so absurdly gorgeous anyway that there was really no need for every day! Foundation in your new picture looks much better. I wear probably around about what you have on there but with tightlined black liquid liner and a little more mascara, and I have very similar brows so would be interested if anyone had any particular product recommendations!

TravellingTulip · 06/04/2018 13:52

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your feedback.

The foundation is Clarins everlasting in 107 (beige) ☺️

OP posts:
Tantpoke · 06/04/2018 14:02

I wear Clarins everlasing in Sand its a great foundation.

You could get away with a bit darker eyshadow on your lids like a satin taupe colour from Mac for daytime and more mascara, I always use eyelash curlers.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 06/04/2018 14:02

OP you look so good with and without make up (haven't seen the first picture though, only the last 2). Why do you say the no make up picture is not a pretty sight? There is very difference between those pictures.

Your skin is amazing Envy I realise make up is a personal choice but if I had skin like that make up would be the last thing in my mind!
