Hi folks,

Some of you may already receive our weekly Swears By newsletter, which is a round-up of products (predominantly style and beauty goodies) that Mumsnetters have been recommending to each other. As it's the end of the year, we thought we would round up the most popular products from 2017. Feel free to let us know what your personal best buys of 2017 were too!

If you want to be first to know about the next cult product, you can sign up to the newsletter here and you can also check out the Swears By page here

Mumsnet Swears By is free and independent from advertising but if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale. You can find out more here

Happy New Year!

Alice & Charlotte
xx

Fitflops leather or suede sneakers. Have plantar fasciitis and these are the only things that make me feel normal. Just got them again in both black and white, both in sale and with an extra 20% off.

I have now ordered the Granactive Retinoids!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 06/01/2018 21:39

A full pipette?! Are you bathing in it?!

Apileofballyhoo · 06/01/2018 22:10

You should be able to order it directly from the Deciem website too. Also on Victoria Health and Asos.

Apileofballyhoo · 06/01/2018 22:15

The retinoid. Also beautybay.com.

What's the difference between squalene and emulsion?

peachypips · 09/01/2018 09:51

I love the Emma Hardie cleansing balm. Was in my M and S calendar and it’s truly lovely. Vv spendy though but managed to get it half price on the website yesterday.

This thread is going to be a disaster for my wallet Smile

I tried Sainsbury's 'My skin matters' micellar water recently and I'm now converted 500 ml for just £2 it takes everything off very gently

I am in love with this bag I bought (one of 3 gifts to myself Blush )
I have black and am thinking of getting it in red, great quality and a steal at £40 www.myexquisiteshop.com/products/quilted-leather-shoulder-bag

I prefer cheap nail colours and am a fan of Rimmel 60 second but with Revlon quick dry topcoat over the top, fab nails in under 5 minutes with some great colours.

Also discovered Superdrug Glycolic toner cheap as chips, love it.

A Shellac manicure every 2 weeks. I'm totally addicted. I was faffing with LCN gels but they never looked natural enough for me. Shellac is fantastic and makes my (now totally natural) nails look perfect all the time. You'd never know I've been a terrible nail biter most of my life!

Here they are painted in Oxblood Smile

I don't know, Echo! I have ordered the emulsion

TheOtherGirl · 09/01/2018 13:52

Have also fallen in love with my new Tweezerman eyelash curlers. Okay, so they were £12 but OMG they work magic.

And Ren Night Cream. Bliss.

KatharinaRosalie · 10/01/2018 10:09

Bought a sample of that Paula's choice exfoliant as recommended here. Used it last night for the first time. What on earth is this witchcraft? My skin is just..better. Glowng and even toned. I'm impressed.

imablackstarnotapopstar · 10/01/2018 14:57

It's the bollox isn't it?!!!

Aridane · 13/01/2018 12:16

Ha ha - have just returned the Tesco mid rise jeggings I ordered online. Think they are designed for someone taller than me as they were wrinkled down the leg (am 5’2”)

Can I recommend Redken No Blow Dry creme? I have thick, curly hair, which goes into a mad frizz if I blow dry it. I get it as dry as possible, then run this through it, scrunch up the curls a bit and leave it. The difference is incredible.

Also Bioderma Micellar Water. Has made a significant difference to the state of my face.
