Thanks for the lovely welcome!
I think I'll hang around here. You all seem very friendly and interesting!

MsMartini · 23/08/2017 20:23

Oh yes Jilli! Grin. Packing here too. Leaving dc in charge of the house.....

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/08/2017 21:15

I'll pack on Friday for an early start on Saturday. I am always last minute. The last time I packed early I forgot to pack any pants and spent five days with one pair in East Africa.

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/08/2017 21:16

Do hang around, Jilli.

Blackduck · 23/08/2017 21:29

Sunrise...

Where's you off to MrsS?

Crepeys, not Creepys
BeachysFlipFlops · 23/08/2017 21:37

Aaaasrg, GCSE results tomorrow....

Other than that, shopping with ddad, sending dd1 off to Another Festival and sorting out the new chickens. One rescue lady is being pecked so she's escaping to the great outdoors!

Finally went to Prairie Gardens today with dh, in East Sussex... very cool and amazing planting. Really enjoyed it. Crepey skirt came too, casually slung around my midriff....

Blackduck · 23/08/2017 21:38

Fingers crossed for tomorrow everyone!

NoCureForLove · 23/08/2017 22:22

Yes - positive vibes to the GCSE era - and their dear mamas of course.

Where are you gadding off to now Mrs S? Suffolk?!

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/08/2017 22:33

Cornwall. Have said the idea of two weeks in a cottage in the middle of nowhere in Suffolk and I will kill him. (He is not coming to Cornwall.)

MsMartini · 24/08/2017 07:30

Are you going with one of the dc, MrsS?

motherinferior · 24/08/2017 08:28

I am trying to appear insouciant in the face of impending results...

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/08/2017 08:35

Yes, DD2. Friend we're staying with has daughter the same age, and they get on well.

magimedi · 24/08/2017 08:45

Fingers crossed for all the GCSES.

motherinferior · 24/08/2017 10:05

Phew. Nice haulSmile

magimedi · 24/08/2017 10:39

Hooray!

Are you going to celebrate?

motherinferior · 24/08/2017 11:18

Does the pope wear a dress? Smile

MrsWobble3 · 24/08/2017 11:34

Well done! The first of many such occasions for you MI I expect - get used to celebrating!

motherinferior · 24/08/2017 11:37

I am good at celebrating Smile

MrsWobble3 · 24/08/2017 11:57

Thought you might be! A mix of natural talent and practice I assume.

motherinferior · 24/08/2017 12:34

I would admit I'm blessed with natural talent but I do work at it too

Cremolafoam · 24/08/2017 17:43

Yes well done to any gcse sitters. It's not everything you know. There re other options < meant in pos way.>

Prairie Gardens look amazing Beachy! I had a wee google. Glad the skirt is getting an airing. I am definitely packing mine for wafting about in Spain. Wink
Mrs s don't forget your knickers fgs. I'm surprised going commando in the Congo didn't cause an international incident.
Enjoy Cornwall!

MI enjoy your celebration.

I am relaxing as am back in work tomorrow for a big sell. Gotta be ready to open at 8am. The time I am usually sipping my coffee in the garden. Feck.Sad
Only seven shifts to go.......
Jill's hooray, stay and chat. What's happening your world?Smile

Congrats to all Crepeys whose offspring have survived Results Day. We are very relieved that DS has done well and is good to go with A'levels in September. After all he's been through this year, it's a big achievement.

No celebrating with him though, as he has gone off to Reading!

magimedi · 24/08/2017 22:19

BTM - massive congratulations to your DS.

What a great achievement after such a tough year.

Auriga · 25/08/2017 00:51

Enjoyed hearing lots of good GCSE news today. Never been packed so early for a holiday, even got an early night but now can't sleep.

Looking forward to meeting friend I haven't seen since youth orchestra days, who lives in Marseille and is offering to show us round Smile Also looking forward to a proper long read on the train.

Happy travels to the other late holidaymakers 🛫 🏖

Cremolafoam · 25/08/2017 07:23

Bonne route to you Auriga. You deserve a lovely break. Hope the trip goes well today.
