Am back - and am indeed wading through tons of washing. Paris is half the temperature of Dubai and China but I'm not complaining. Have had an amazing time and would really recommend the travel agent that set us up. I've now got the travel bug and want to do northern India next.

Again many congratulations to Crepey offspring. I like posting on MN because I cannot type very well on my phone although am reading the Whatsapp as well.

In S&B - I was unable to keep any makeup on my face in China and wonder if there's a brand of especially eyeliner that doesn't slide of when it's humid and 36 outside. Coped well but drenched in sweat most of the time.

Oohhh need to catch up. Lovely news MrsW . Well done to her.

MM is that product only for wash and leave or can you use it before drying? Sounds interesting.

I have a nice haul from Gunwharf outlet village from gap and white stuff but hard to link as it's naturally last season's stuff, not on website. Got great bargains on a wide scoop Breton tee, a dark red linen blouse and a knitted black hoodie from Gap and then a most surprising dress from white stuff. actually here's the dress which looks better on me than the model

It was also lovely to meet Fluffy and Beachy after shopping for lunch and a great natter in mini MU!

Sorry to barge in uninvited.
Hattymattie. May I de-lurk to recommend Stila stay all day waterproof eyeliner?
I have tried them all and this is the best my a country mile. Extensively tested by myself, an east coast, runny eyed dog walker. It never budges. I also really rate Boots Natural Collection water guard mascara.
As you were.

Ooh thank you Jilli - will go and buy immediately.

Well, I've received a huge haul from Cos. It's p&p charges are pretty steep, but all returns are free.
I was in their Regents St shop a few weeks back, trying stuff on, but they had right size wrong colour or wrong size right colour ishoos.

I am about to attempt mass try on session. And send most stuff back.

In other S&B news, I bought 2 dresses in the Bombshell Dress sale back in June. Kept one, and sent the other back. Never got a refund, despite 2 emails from me. They had acknowledged receipt of my return.

Finally sent really stinky email, saying how fed up I was. Got a grovelling reply within 20 mins from Katya Wildman herself apologising profusely and a special 50% discount off my next purchase. Grin

Trouble is, I have no idea when I'm next going to need a dress like that.

Hi Jiilli, do stay or de-lurk. Newbies always welcomed with hugs.

Airbourne, you will require a frock when I am in town! Lol I need an excuse to wear my The Finery bargain dress Otherwise it will be going to EBay .Hmm50% off ! Go You!

*put Saturday 2nd December in your diaries por favor!I I am tentatively going to suggest Ibèrica ( one of) for munching of tapas. However all suggestions happily accepted. It will be close to Christmas , so I will make sure we are booked in somewhere.
I will be going to Craftacular in Bethnal Green on the Sunday 3rd, in case anyone fancies a little excursion to the East end to see handmade goodies.

Stuff from Cos sitting waiting for a try on:

Several sizes, and in the Navy version, too

Culottes in the navy - they only had the dark cream in the shop

I may post more on WA...

I have had hair cut and roots done. She put the Redken No Blow Dry on it, and I'm impressed. Curls look great, it's soft and swishy, not crispy. Will invest in a bottle.

I've just looked in the mirror, having put the No Blow Dry in this morning & my hair looks better than had I blow dried it.

Went back to it a couple of times during the drying time to make sure it was in place & it is.

My vote is that it is magical stuff!

Is this a product for when you want straight or wavy hair? Had a terrible time in China w hair - normally I blow dry straight. In the humid climate it reverted to type and I ended up looking like the wild woman of Borneo. Even worse where everybody else has straight black shiny hair.

Report
magimedi · 20/08/2017 08:17

I don't know if it will do that, Hatty.

I have short(ish) white hair, with a bit of a wave. I normally blow dry it with a bit of mousse.

If I don't do this it just sits very flat & lank looking.

With the redken stuff it looks exactly as if I had blow dried it & stays in place & looked good after a 20 minute, going right under, sea swim. And it doesn't feel as if I have any product in my hair.

I am liking it because I like to travel light & it means I won't have to take a hairdryer.

There are 3 strengths & I use the middle one (just right).

I've just googled it & it is now discounted in lots of places, down to £10 - £11 which is a lot cheaper than the £17 I paid for it!

I don't wear much make up & am not one for lots of products but for my hair this stuff is amazing.
