Hey Beachy! Very apt!

MsM - no, I don't think he really does like holidays. He says that not going to work is a holiday for him. He likes cities. I suspect we will end up with a long weekend in Warsaw, which will be nice, but exhausting for me as Iwill have to interpret all the time, and he won't do anything on his own.

MsMartini · 16/08/2017 00:26

Mmm, is there nowhere you both want to go? Why does he get to decide - or doesn't he?

hattymattie · 16/08/2017 05:37

Here I am - back in two days so normal posting habits will resume.

Cremolafoam · 16/08/2017 11:32

Oh I mentioned a real name, because I'm an idiot. Many many apologies, if you saw it.

Wanted to ask you Herbs, what your main priority for the move is? And after that all those new things you mention are huge changes: new house, new town, new school, new dog, new commuting, new friends. One at a time maybe?

Thank goodness Beachy is back, Flioflops as a name never felt right to me.GrinGrin

Great toes. I am going for Smacked salmon for my hols-did I say that already?

Filthy day again today and my lunch date has cancelled as he is Vair Important and in new job so can't just swan off any more.Sad

Does anyone use NextDoor app? I have finally got enough people to enable a launch for our very sparsely populated neighbourhood. Going to list the lavenders I've just dug out for free, as they will need tlc I don't have time for.
I have got new pink lavenders to replace the old ones.🌷

Yay Hattie! Welcome home pet. Are you wading through washing. Yptell is more about T.

Testing for threads I'm watching/ on ..........

magimedi · 16/08/2017 16:30

And testing again - the thing still seems to be a bit broken.

magimedi · 16/08/2017 16:49

I'd have you lavender like a shot if I were nearer - just been pottering in the garden & need some for a space.

In Style & Beauty news I have tried the new Redken No Blow Dry NBD cream which you pop on you hair when it's wet & just leave your hair to dry naturally. It's amazing & even held up after a 20 minute sea swim (& I went right under). Expensive but fantastic for holidays.

My hairdresser used it when he cut my hair a couple of days ago & I was so impressed I went back & bought a tube of it today.

I've got short (ish) white hair & normally have to use mousse & blow dry or it looks all flat & witch like!

motherinferior · 16/08/2017 17:47

I have rather bushy hair. Would it do anything for me?

BeachysFlipFlops · 16/08/2017 20:38

India Knight was raving about that very product this weekend in the Sunday Times....

Cremolafoam · 16/08/2017 21:33

I read that Beachy!
I wish it would work on chin length unruly bleached hair with a bastard kink in it.

Anyone watching Child Genius?
I just love it.

OP posts:
magimedi · 16/08/2017 22:13

Well, I don't use much any make up, am v sceptical about 99.9% of beauty products but I am amazed by this stuff.

Wish you all lived nearer so I could give you a go.

IDismyname · 16/08/2017 22:51

Crem - our local village has the Nextdoor thingy going. Seems to work if you want cleaners/ builders/ report missing pets or break ins.
A surprising number of people have signed up to it, considering there is a local FB group not that far away. A lot of active retired people round here seem to be FB phobic.

Had lovely MU with FlipFlops ( looking great in Anthropology dress!) and Rosen. Great to meet you Rosen! Nice toes, too...!

I put purchased a pair of girlfriend jeans from a Sainsbury's yesterday. Have just washed them to rid of excess dye. They're £20! V comfy. Will post link tomorrow.

Montypulciano · 17/08/2017 07:19

Crem, I had an olaplex treatment when I had my hair coloured on Saturday. It's really smooth and shiny now (for me - it's not exactly a mirror shine). Would that be worth looking into?

Good luck to all waiting for results today.

Cremolafoam · 17/08/2017 10:55

Oh have googled Monty and yes that sounds good actually.. will try and find some where local that does it.
I am trying to book myself in for hair, nail and eyebrow appt next week before holiday. I had a Groupon for a place my sil goes to , but the silly people are now so booked up, their next appointment is in October. Grr.
Had first Pilates class after summer break, and I can hardly walk today. Oops. Should have been practising those curl ups. Was going to be moving up to Intermediate class next year, but now not so sure.
Airbourne et al glad you had a jolly meetup. I am going to try for a date in October to be in London as there is a craft and design fair on I'd like to go to.

For those asking about courgette relish - its here: Recipe

For those interested in lovely girlfriend jeans (only £15!) from Sainsburys, they're here: Jeans

Hmm. I'm sure I promised to post a link to something else - minds gone blank...

Cremolafoam · 17/08/2017 20:53

Crepes, I have been thinking of you all and exam results today. I hope desperately that everyone got what they needed.👍🏻and that all proud mums have partially recovered from the high stressGin

Cremolafoam · 17/08/2017 20:59

I have those very jeans Airbourne. I need full length pair for cooler days, so must look in Sainsbury's next time.

OP posts:
MrsWobble3 · 17/08/2017 21:26

Re results: dd3 smashed it with grades to spare so is very happily on her way to her first choice uni. I hope others have been equally rewarded. I know ggg or whatever she's called now was waiting as was MsM - I do hope absence of posting is due to family celebration.

IDismyname · 17/08/2017 22:31

I hear you, Crem - another pair an inch or two longer, and I'd be sorted for the cooler days.

MsMartini · 17/08/2017 23:30

Nice jeans AIrborne, what a bargain!

Congratulations to your dd MrsW. All good here too - ds was worried but very happy now and off to where dd was! I am exhausted.....

Cremolafoam · 18/08/2017 07:13

Congratulations to all of the offspring! Mrs W , MsM , well done to dd and ds respectively. Not surprised you are knacked Grin yay for good news.Flowers

OP posts:
MsMartini · 18/08/2017 07:49

That jeans model is a size 12 - how common is that? Good for Tu.

motherinferior · 18/08/2017 08:50

Fantastic, MrsW!

I am feeling the need to celebrate.

MrsWobble3 · 18/08/2017 09:15

We celebrated last night. The key requirement was finding somewhere that did not operate a strict over 21 rule since dd1 is on a mission to educate her little sister in the delights of gin!

Crem - have your London plans solidified yet? It would be lovely to see you again.
