Thanks Crem. I do love Ebbsfleet. Seven minutes walk from long term car park to terminal. Less than 5 mins for security and passport control. Lots of happy kids heading for Disneyland 😊

motherinferior · 25/08/2017 10:41

Auriga, I love me a late holiday. Having had an early one I already feel I need another!

magimedi · 25/08/2017 11:58

We are slipping back to Turkey again in a few weeks - prices so low it would be rude not to.

motherinferior · 25/08/2017 16:34

Deffo, Magi.

I have purchased new skincare after a boozy lunch with school friends. I shall report back...

MrsWobble3 · 25/08/2017 18:35

Am back on boat in med with friends rather than the dds this time. Most observable difference is gin consumption - which given dd1s previously noted preferences should give my doctor cause for concern if I ever told them.

But totally support the idea of late summer sunshine and holidays.

It's so long since I posted, you'd fallen off my 'Threads You're on' button.

Still sitting in bed, with returned prodigal son fast asleep next door. DH off out enjoying his hobby all day today. Last nights scenario when he put me down in front of DS had ne in tears again. I've become so, so sensitive to all of this, I can't take a step back.

(I mean, you haven't seen your son for 3 months, so the day after he gets home, you B-off for your hobby. And yes, it was organised with prior knowledge of DSs return). I really don't get it.

I am suffering from a very odd swollen nose. I've not been hit there, but it's all swollen and Terribly tender to touch. Wearing glasses is quite painful. Asked Dr Google, and have scared the pants off myself.

NoCureForLove · 26/08/2017 09:26

You need to get that looked at. Is it spreading? Take regular selfies if not sure. Don't want to alarm you and of course may be something else entirely but this happened to dh and he needed if antibiotics to stop the infection (through lining in nose) spreading.

NoCureForLove · 26/08/2017 09:27

IV antibiotics

Cremolafoam · 26/08/2017 09:35

Oh Airbourne, that sounds awfully sore. Does sound like an infection or tear that has become indpfected. Very tender up there. Hope you can get it seen at Minor Injury clinic or similar. Always a bank holiday weekend these things happen.....

Yes, Fluffy I agree, just get it checked out at the out of hours GP service, or walk in centre to be on the safe side. Enjoy your late holidays, auriga, MM and MrsW

I am preparing for a very full day running from one show to another at The Fringe. Partic looking forward to Jan Ravens, the impressionist and comedy from Sue Perkins. Worried about worsening back ache though, although all the walking should do it good, I think. I have noticed that I packed DDs cropped leggings and am wearing them.... Blush. This is what happens when DH does the washing and putting away of the same. Angry. Still at least they fit..... just.

Welcome jilli Hope you stay around and chat.

NUFC69 · 26/08/2017 13:18

I haven't posted for ages either - apologies. Hello Jilli.

We go away on the 18th; can't wait, really.

Crem, i think that, yet again, I won't be able to make the MU. We're away for a few days before and won't get back until the Friday night. I don't think I can cope with a quick turnaround, tbh, but I will see nearer the time.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/08/2017 13:49

Airborne, have you been to the doctor?

magimedi · 26/08/2017 15:14

Airborne, are you OK now?

NUF - I was just wondering where you'd got to this very morning.

Crem - am not certain red Dec 2nd. Is it evening? Also, I may be in France that w/e - not sure yet.

Cremolafoam · 26/08/2017 15:24

Oh NU, it would lovely indeed to finally meet you in the flesh. Christmas is a particularly busy time, so I completely understand. I do think we should have a slightly more northern MU to make it easier for you. ( and potentially some other Crepes )

Jiilli, you are very welcome to MU on 2nd Dec btw.

So jealous of your trip to E. but sorry about the back being twingey Sad is the hotel bed a bit soft Rose?
Walking is good, but mind those blimmin cobbles on the Royal Mile. Treacherous!!

Nose still about the same - skin looks a bit tight and shiney - but its no worse or better. Seems like a really stupid thing to go and see a Dr about...

I've had it now for about 4 days, but don't feel bad in any way.

Good idea about the selfies - I may do that - and then see tomorrow.

Perhaps I should call that healthcare line. 101 is it?

hattymattie · 26/08/2017 18:56

Ring - Airborne - it's obviously bothering you, and ringing may ease your mind.

Here, it has been a beautiful day - have mainly mooched around organising stuff. DD2 arrives on Monday the so really looking forward to seeing her. Still debating whether to pay off her student loan or not - opinions seem to be mixed on the usefulness of this although I am bothered by interest rates at the moment.

hattymattie · 26/08/2017 18:56

MM and NU - please come to meet up. I booked my Eurostar today.

MrsWobble3 · 26/08/2017 19:37

It's in the diary Cremo!

Auriga · 26/08/2017 21:31

Crem, please may I add myself to the meet-up? Would be lovely to see you all again.

IDismyname · 26/08/2017 22:39

Crem Do you have me on your MU list?

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2017 10:27

Gosh yes ALL CREPEYS are invited. I haven't got a list really. Will confirm numbers closer to the time, as December can be a tough one to plan for in advance. I have given them a vague estimate of numbers at the restaurant. So when I do the list in November just add your name. It's the 2nd of Dec in central London at 6.30. Sharing platters of tapas.

Auriga · 28/08/2017 08:50

Aix is so lovely, I'm having fantasies about coming back for a month in the winter. Would have to bring dog and cat, of course. Dog would be fine but new (assertive) cat would probably yowl to make our ears bleed if put in a cat box for eight hours Shock

motherinferior · 28/08/2017 09:11

Auriga, I want to rent a little flat in Lisbon for a month or possibly three, and write my novel and nip out for a plate of grilled sardines and a glass of wine...
