Gosh that's good Flipflops. It is indeed the small things.
My Pilates teacher has offered to help me in current state of becripplement, by giving me a 1:1 this afternoon. She is a physio, so I am very grateful indeed. Still hobbling, then passing out with pain killers.
Never thought I'd be back to this point.SadDammit.
Off to hand clinic this am. To have the contracture looked at by plastics man. Will swing by Dad up on the wards, if they let me in during lunch.
I tell you , it's all go, but trying to stay positive.

Cremolafoam · 23/06/2017 09:05

Oh in style news, I thought I ordered a skirt from Plümo, but never received a confirmation, but oooh it has turned up! Blue linen with pockets: I love it Smile

Mrs K- StarHalo for coming home. This is the same one who pissed you about over Tallin innit?

MrsKlugscheisser · 23/06/2017 09:34

Yes. We always lurch towards each other when we are wearing our beer goggles.

herbaceous · 23/06/2017 12:05

Mrs K. I remember with fondness those days of the work dalliance, and frisson over the post-work pint. And how tempting it can be.

I am having the odd, nay unprecedented, experience of people being very nice to me. A member of SLT just said what a difference I am making in my class, the deputy head wants to go for a drink with me, my old boss wants to take me to dinner to discuss 'the future', an autistic girl asked when I'd be in her class again as 'I really enjoy when you're there', and at orchestra my fellow players told me how nice I sounded.

I don't say this to be boastful - it's just so nice, and it's never happened before in such a sustained way. Not sure if it's some sort of karmic wheel revolution or simply coincidence.

Talking of which, the Signs pointing to Broadstairs continue apace. A random old lady asked DP the way to Broadstairs on the south bank, and a friend of his has moved to Margate and can introduce us to lots of groovers. I've found my dream house on Right Move, and ours is being valued on Tuesday. Partly to find out if doing all the improvements is worth it....

bigTillyMint · 23/06/2017 13:08

Wellies, glad tp hear he had a good day - hope it continues.

Herbs, are you sure you want to move if everyone is being so nice to you here?

bigTillyMint · 23/06/2017 13:09

Cremo fingers crossed for the pilates and I love that skirt!

MsMartini · 23/06/2017 15:09

Herbs, how good is that....brilliant...I am so glad you posted - especially as the start of job was so rocky (and I am sure it isn't a walk in the park now). Good to see the story arc land (as they say on my latest favourite podcast).
Crem, that skirt is really lovely. but poor you.....I hope you feel up to and can squeeze in a little fun soon.
Wellies, yep and perhaps engagement isn't little even if it is about little things..

motherinferior · 23/06/2017 16:30

I am feeling the urge to buy actual new clothes not pre-loved ones.

Rosenspants · 23/06/2017 18:01

Go with it Mi We all want something new at times. You deserve it as much as anyone else.

MsMartini · 23/06/2017 18:18

Absolutely, MI. What do you fancy?

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 23/06/2017 20:42

Ooh that skirt is lovely, Crem.... I'm so sorry your back is so bad at the moment. Hope the physio works her magic.

herbaceous · 23/06/2017 21:02

Ooh crem that skirt is LOVELY.

Have just conducted the first Couch to 5K stagger for a week. Still hideous. And Spotify plays 'I see you baby, shaking that ass' as I hauled my bulk up a mild incline.

I have in fact purchased a couple of garments in Herbs' favourite boutique. I worry about its apparently poor ethical record but couldn't resist a smallish denim skirt and white broderie top.

MrsKlugscheisser · 23/06/2017 21:20

Yay, you go Herbs! But all the way to Broadstairs?

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 24/06/2017 07:38

Was it this one? I was quite tempted by the orange version.....

Dreamqueen · 24/06/2017 08:23

I love that skirt Cremo. I'm off to order it before it sells out.

motherinferior · 24/06/2017 08:49

No, the 'embroidered top' which I also have in red.

MsMartini · 24/06/2017 09:24

MI, which Sains (initials?) do you go to for clothes? The two MsCocktails are planning an outing Grin.

Blackduck · 24/06/2017 09:45

Flip flops have a fab day/night sorry can't be there!!

MsMartini · 24/06/2017 09:50

Hatty, you ok? How is dd2 and how is the great graduation dress hunt? Think I may be sorted, courtesy of TK max, but will see what dd thinks.

MrsW, have realised our dds may be graduating together!

motherinferior · 24/06/2017 10:12

BG. I think DKH also has clothes!

Am wearing denim skirt, which falls cheeringly just above the knee. DP, when asked, said yes even though all skirts are essentially the same he likes this one.Hmm

bigTillyMint · 24/06/2017 11:43

It does. I got some denim shorts there Wink

What? Does he need glasses, MI?Grin
