He has the sartorial sensibilities of your average heterosexual bloke, BTM Smile

bigTillyMint · 24/06/2017 12:51

Even my DH can see that some skirts look different to others, MI Grin

MsMartini · 24/06/2017 16:13

If I ever ask my dh what a woman was wearing (for identification purposes), he looks blank. And might then say, tentatively, "erm a dress of some sort?".

Thanks for sainsbos info.

Cremolafoam · 24/06/2017 21:43

Ooh have I hit on a Crepey skirt? ( like the great Topshop Golden shimmer tube skirt of 2014/15?) Am so delighted with it. Just wish the weather hadn't turned a bit cold. It doesn't suit me to wear it with gammy leg and goose pimples. ( is goosepimples one word?)
How was the Sainsbo Excursion? I had half an eye on the embroidered denim dress, but decided it was too short for me.

Physio slash Pilates teacher has given me gentle exercises and the session went ok bar me doing silent weeping into the yoga block when she pressed on this and that. She reckons the bulging disc is now bulging out in a diff place and we have to get it back to where it's meant to be.

Am anxious that Mrs K has been hauled into work this weekend.i do hope not.HmmSad
DQ what about BA and your dm?

MsMartini · 24/06/2017 23:21

Great Sainsbo excursion yet to be scheduled but at least we know what we are aiming for....

Am wincing reading your post, Crem.

MrsKlugscheisser · 24/06/2017 23:50

Mrs K is also hoping not to be hauled into work this weekend, Crem...

IDismyname · 25/06/2017 08:16

I had a quick look on the Sainsbury's website. I don't like much stuff atm, but thought they had v pretty dress in pink or black in their Premier section. It was about £60, but I'd have worn it to a posh do.

I like the fact that most of their stuff is predominantly made of cotton.

The dress I've been lusting after in Toast has been reduced again. It's calling me. I should bite the bullet and just order it, only to prove to myself that it's far too shapeless on me.

It's proving to be a long weekend in the Airbourne Household. Some people are resorting back to unreasonable and shouty behaviour. People just don't change, do they - however much you want them to.

IDismyname · 25/06/2017 08:18

Sorry. I should say that I don't like Sainsburys stuff because of their colours. Not much fits with my colouring this summer!

I get a lot of wear out of the navy and white jacket/coat thing I bought in the Spring. Gets lots of compliments.

Cremolafoam · 25/06/2017 10:29

Airborne, that sounds awfully fraught , you poor soul. And I do know what fraught feels like. Take care and walk out that door as much as you can. I find a bit of John Coltrane in the air conditioned car to be quite good.😬

Rosenspants · 25/06/2017 11:14

Fluffy Flowers

Crem I do hope the physio is going to help. You don't deserve this. I am waiting for my plumo skirt to arrive. I have no idea if the shape will suit me or if I'll look like a navy pumpkin but I do think you may indeed have hit on something. Can you post a photo of you in it..head cut off?

I am livid that someone has misplaced my favourite Next boyfriend jeans that I always wear in the summer. It's usually due to DH doing the laundry and I am disproportionately Angry. but now I must stop frantically searching for them and take DD to Tesco where she insists the F&F have the best bikinis Hmm

MrsWobble3 · 25/06/2017 13:24

A weekend on the boat in Gib and, MI, I was walking down the Main Street and saw a shop with your name on it! I hope you're pleased to note that though most shops here sell cheap booze and tourist tat yours is far more upmarket advertising Chopard and Gucci.

MsM, will look out for you at graduation - what is the form for non exclusive meet ups when there are Muggles present too?

Cremolafoam · 25/06/2017 15:07

Lol @ muggles Mrs W. mini meetups are totally de rigeur. I have met Hatty ( where have you gone to my lovely) in Paris, which was terrific and MsM in Co. Down also marvellous.

Rosen, Im not sure I dont look like a pumpkin 🎃 myself, but I like the feel if the skirt and the throw-on-ability of it.

Have we discussed the Boden half price sale items yet? Any success stories?

motherinferior · 25/06/2017 16:40

Boden half price?

Am sniggering re shop.

MaidOfStars · 25/06/2017 17:29

waves from Hvar
Am rubbish. Basically checking in holiday enjoyment, which is more FB territory.

This place is like Ibiza circa 1994. And I did Ibiza in 1994.

MaidOfStars · 25/06/2017 17:30

I can't find the link to the skirt. I am sad.

motherinferior · 25/06/2017 17:54

Oh no, please share the holiday love!

NoCureForLove · 25/06/2017 17:56

Don't despair Maid - here is the latest Crepey skirt...

I do like Plumo. Quite fancy these - but worried about looking like Coco the Clown

MrsKlugscheisser · 25/06/2017 19:07

I am tired and fed up. DD2 goes on long distance school trip next week. She has just presented me with a long list of things they have to take with them. I thought we had finished shopping. She also forgot to take her books back to school, and we will have to pay for them if they aren't back by the 28th. She is kicking off and saying she doesn't want to get the train back to school to drop them off. I have the week from hell next week at work and it looks as if I will have to be somewhere in Europe on Monday morning (next Monday not tomorrow) which will mean travelling on Sunday. All of my friends appear to be away as well, so will be stuck on my own in a hotel room. Which has its charms, but I've spent quite a lot of time in hotel rooms on my own of late.

motherinferior · 25/06/2017 19:25

MrsK: DD2 is 16, has plenty of spare time this week and can damn well do it herself. Tell her other young people her age would be mortified at the idea of getting Mummy to do it for them.Angry

MrsKlugscheisser · 25/06/2017 19:31

I've no intention of going with her. I went to Oxford Street today with DD1 - she did her own thing and we met up for coffee. Had I known DD2 still needed a raft of stuff for this trip, I would have made her come too, and sent her off to Boots/Primark. She will have to go tomorrow, or take books back in the morning and shop in the afternoon as she is leaving on 28th.

msmargarita · 25/06/2017 22:18

Glad you'll be kicking dd2 into action, Mrs K and hope the Europe thing is more fun for you than sounds at moment.

Having spent a wonderful afternoon & evening with Ms Martini and family, came back earlier than anyone else because dd in meltdown over final portfolio and, I suspect, I suspect, feeling that no one else appreciates how important it is. Prob good thing as having been necking champagne and prosecco since 3 (I know, Flipflops, I know) and will be up at 6 for work.

Ace weekend though. Domestic chores outstanding.

IDismyname · 25/06/2017 22:32

I like the skirt from Plumo, but those trousers are still £££!

(And that comes from someone eyeing up something from Toast!)

The arrival of Chic on stage at Glastonbury was enough to quell any Sunday night convo which would have disintegrated into some kind of shouty scenario... so a quieter evening than I'd have thought.

Cremolafoam · 25/06/2017 23:20

Chic were fantastic. I would have got up to relive my roller disco years, if I wasn't limply limpy.

Mover away from those slacks 👖 Nocure. They are ridiculous circus strides. I speak from experience. Tried on, sent back. Lesson learnt. Also those Thai fisherman numbers can be got from Amazon ( other shops may be available) for a fraction of the price.

Who is in Croatia 🇭🇷? I can't remember who you sounds so lovely anyway, and please yes to dispatches on holiday. I am desperate for distraction from dd, dps and not so d leg.

Mrs K, sorry to hear of another suitcase in another hall.

MaidOfStars · 25/06/2017 23:29

Love the trousers. Only like the skirt. Apologies.

Am eating focaccia that the waiter in the restaurant said I could take home for later. Later being now. With a bottle of lager - dead classy.

Oh lovely. The French fellows next door have just arrived home. Hopefully, this is a quick pit stop to put on a fresh pair of deck shorts and loafers before they head out for another night of whatever pharmaceutical I found on my terrace this morning.

MaidOfStars · 25/06/2017 23:30

I can't imagine liking Chic. Freak out?
