Stropps, is she still applying for things or has she given up? You must be soooo fed up and worried but it makes such sense to get the course sorted before prodding the tiger.

Stropperella · 21/06/2017 22:20

I think she is living in lala land. She doesn't get up until 4. And goes to see her friends that are back from university. And moans about the local ones not having time to see her. Because they work and/or are doing training.
And no, I no longer care if she is reading the thread. I think she has applied for about 2 things and has a deluded expectation of getting something for September. And has nothing whatsoever to show for the last 9 months. I am all out of ideas and tolerance.

MrsKlugscheisser · 21/06/2017 22:38

MaidOfStars - please tell us about your Balkan tour when you come back. I've only made it to Pristina and Belgrade.

IDismyname · 21/06/2017 22:41

Right. Sciatica Sufferers Get thee to thy nearest and bestest acupuncturist. My DM has been crippled by her sciatica.

She has found great relief in a combination of chiropractor visits and physio visits and the physio also does acupuncture.

I asked her yesterday, as for the first time in about 3 months, it wasn't her first topic of conversation when we spoke. Her reply was that the combination of all 3 gave her about 80% relief. That's coming from a 77 year old who couldn't put shoes on, or bend down to lift the door to the dishwasher 3 weeks ago. She still has bad days, but is able to dead head roses and water the garden.

Physio has given her 3 exercises to do at home, and then has suggested she comes back to do some 1-2-1 with a Pilates teacher in a few weeks time. For the first time since Christmas, she's on the 'up'.

IDismyname · 21/06/2017 22:44

MrsK have you got all your gear for making tonic yet? I'm still waiting on that bark type stuff to arrive. I have bottles and citrus fruit (and citric acid) all at the ready.

MrsKlugscheisser · 21/06/2017 23:22

Fluff - still waiting for the bark too, but citric acid has arrived.

Stropperella · 22/06/2017 00:00

I think I have come to the end of my particular road with MN. I've only ever been here for the crepeys, and it's been a blast, but I don't think I'm in the right place any more.

NoCureForLove · 22/06/2017 00:29

How so Stropps? What has happened? Hope you're OK.

IDismyname · 22/06/2017 07:08

Oh don't go Stropps Sad

Cremolafoam · 22/06/2017 07:26

Stropps, i did feel like that recently. But am back. Please dip in when you feel up to it. You must befell absolutely shattered with all that's going on. Please know we will be here and would miss you dreadfully

Phew, a cool breeze today.

motherinferior · 22/06/2017 10:06

Stropps, please don't go.

MrsKlugscheisser · 22/06/2017 12:28

Don't go Stropps

MsMartini · 22/06/2017 13:22

Please don't Stropps. Post and read as much or as little as you like.

motherinferior · 22/06/2017 16:04

On an S&B note can I just say the Vichy Ideal mattifying face fluid is EXCELLENT. I thought nothing would shift me from the cheap Soltan version - I've tried other brands and none of them were quite right for different reasons - but I tried a tester of this when my face was utterly sweaty and greasy in a pharmacy on Sat, and was so impressed I bought some this week. It is both matte and non-chalky.

bigTillyMint · 22/06/2017 16:33

It''s a lot cheaper than the Clinique sun block ATM - does it have a tint or do you need foundation on top?

bigTillyMint · 22/06/2017 16:38

And Stropps, DON'T GO!

motherinferior · 22/06/2017 16:40

No tint. Roche Posay does a dry touch one with a tint, I think - the non-tinted is quite chalky.

bigTillyMint · 22/06/2017 17:04

Ah, I don't want chalky Grin

motherinferior · 22/06/2017 17:25

It may just be a white cast so the tinted one would be a tinted cast.

Blackduck · 22/06/2017 18:06

Stropps please don't go. I had my 'moment' and you were one of the people who pulled me back.

Sending big hugs....

herbaceous · 22/06/2017 18:27

Yes stropps. Stay. Just don't stray into the non-crepey area. There be dragons.

You are funny and wise and just great. And we need you!

Also, who better than a crepey or two when things aren't going swimmingly? No-one, that's who.

MrsKlugscheisser · 22/06/2017 21:39
