I prefer the second one.

MsMartini · 05/07/2017 22:14

I like Le Tanneur best.

Yes, don't think I understand about culottes.

MrsKlugscheisser · 05/07/2017 22:16

Le Tanneur.

Are culottes for chub rub?

magimedi · 05/07/2017 22:16

Rose I am just Envy of you on Friday.

I am all consumed by Tennis & in training for walking up a (small) Alp with DS, when I go to France in about 10 days time . Am doing a 3 - 4 mile hike up & around Beachy Head every morning to get fit.

I might be getting fitter but the reward foods that are being scoffed...........

hattymattie · 05/07/2017 22:20

Keep voting ladiesSmile

MM - it's the altitude that gets me.

MsMartini · 05/07/2017 22:33

That sounds really good, Magi!

MsMartini · 05/07/2017 22:37

I was wearing linen trousers today, for day of training then evening shop with ds in boiling heat. Got home, put on short sleeveless linen dress and waved legs on sun lounger = breeze of bot. Dress much cooler, but not really for public consumption.

IDismyname · 06/07/2017 05:37

No, the culotte slip was purchased for the wearing of culottes that I bought about a year ago. It allows me to wear them with woolly tights.

I have, however, found them comfy to wear under skirts, especially as I CBA to purchase separate petticoat for skirt wearing.

Flipflops pants first, then wear them over the top.

I was merely pointing out how good the Coolmax stuff from M&S is... not trying to confuse you all with my choice of underwear! Sorry for confusion.

NUFC69 · 06/07/2017 07:03

I prefer the second bag, Hatty.

I have one black petticoat which comes out about once a year - it'll have an outing next week to stop a dress showing my lumps and bumps.

I really must get up and attack the day: DH is on the exercise bike and suggested I use it - that'll be a big fat NO from me as I really must pack. It's raining again. Shock I can't wait to get to the Midlands and a bit of warmth (we have actually had the heating on during the day time for the last two days).

Am very impressed with MM's practice hill climbing.

motherinferior · 06/07/2017 07:18

Second but not entirely sure about the strap...

Found some linen baggy trousers I am going to shorten in a chazzer yesterday - heavy linen which should definitely facilitate breeze of bot.

Magi, the only solution is to smirk self-righteously in front of the mirror a lot.Smile

Cremolafoam · 06/07/2017 07:21

Le Tanneur would be my choice Hatty. It has a nicer line I think.
MM , very impressed with your up hill training.I continue with my Pilates to get leg moving approach. Hope to be walking again soon.Hmm, as I'd like to be able to explore some Cathar castles in September.

I am absolutely loving my Ren things ladies. Totally gorgeous.

NU we still have rain and grey skies. So very Envy of the heat of which you speak Crepes de Londres et Sud Ouest. Although I think a thunderstorm may be on the cards later.
Auriga, smashing find btw. How goes your back and leg? Also have you ever had any further news about your health? I hope you feel a bit better.

Cremolafoam · 06/07/2017 07:26

Oh and Airbourne, glad to hear of doggie reprieve. For dh's sake, although I'm sure the distress has not lessened. Thinking of you.I know the loss of a pet can be a severe blow.FlowersFlowers

Rosenspants · 06/07/2017 07:49

I like the tanneur one also Hatty

Rosenspants · 06/07/2017 07:57

BTW Hatty did you mean Finchley Road tube? There are several Finchley named tube stations....anyone of them is in Rose environs. I feel some Norf London MUs coming on Smile

Re Wimbledon attire...I think it's going to have to be a navy linen shirt dress that gets wheeled out as 'old faithful' which I just tried on and is skightly less tight than I thought. I don't have any linen trousers at the moment and my navy chinos feel a bit too restrictive for the breeze of bot acid test.

a bit like this but an integrated tie at the waist and knee length

MsMartini · 06/07/2017 12:26

Fluffy, we like underwear banter 😀

MsMartini · 06/07/2017 14:19

I have just done a Mistral sale order - things I wouldn't normally go for but I do like their soft colours (if website accurate). And am trying your dress, Rosenspants, tho had to go up a size as out of stock.

Auriga · 06/07/2017 14:28

Much better thanks Crem. Investigations (for headache, vomiting and causes of secondary hypertension) negative & symptoms started to clear up after three (horrible) months. Hypertension also resolving. Seems it was an adverse reaction to the tiny dose of nortriptyline I was given for sciatica.

I'm slowly recovering my nerve, even more slowly catching up with everything that's been on hold. Sciatica has come back, though. Probably need another epidural.

Gorgeous here, too hot for ironing IME

IDismyname · 06/07/2017 14:52

Its so hot here that when I dropped an almond on the floor, my working cocker lay in her bed and 'looked' at it.

Normally she can hear an atom of a crumb fall at 20 paces.

In diet news, I am starting a new WoE... Eat Right For Your Blood Type. I'm a A - so it means that I'm having to become an almost vegetarian. Good job it doesn't mention anything about DnSs!

It will be interesting to see if it'll work, as I used to be much more veggie as a student, and didn't really like red meat much. Not sure quite how I got back into eating it... probably living on a boat for months and eating whatever there was. It was probably around then that my weight started to creep up.

It also supports just how crap I felt when I cut out all carbs and sugar for a month. Sadly sugar is still off the menu but ice cream doesn't count, does it??

IDismyname · 06/07/2017 14:53

Just summoning up courage to call the vet about Ddog. I was supposed to call her yesterday. I have no-one to help me dig a grave :(

Not sure what to do. It can't go on. And neither can Ddog...

hattymattie · 06/07/2017 15:19

Oh Airborne, so sad for you and DDog. Sending hugs.

Auriga - on a brighter note, glad things are going better for you - very scary that all that can be brought on by a small dose of a chemical. Very difficult to track as well.

Rose - I think it's Finchley Road tube (the one on the northern line) would have to cross check with underground map. Not sure exactly where you are but it sounds like it's in your neck of the woods.

Thank you for your bag votes ladies - went for Le Tanneur in the end as the Michael Kors resembles my big handbag so this makes a change. I do think Michael Kors wears well though - I've had that huge bag for three years, used it constantly and the leather hasn't budged.

DD2, has emailed me to say she loves working in the chazzer shop which she's doing as well as pub work.

motherinferior · 06/07/2017 18:02

Oh, I am so sorry about DDog. I was surprised by how very sad I was when we had to do this for our cat recently.

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 06/07/2017 18:25

I'm sorry about your lovely old dog, Cloud. When our last dog died, the vet had him cremated separately and we all went on a walk to sprinkle him up the hill behind our house. It means we can pop up and say hello to him every so often. Might be an idea!?

Auriga, have you got the meet up dates? I think they are this Friday 7th and also the 14th? I can't make either but there are a number up for DnS'

It's so hot, isn't it?

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 06/07/2017 18:26

Sorry random ! In there

MrsKlugscheisser · 07/07/2017 00:22

Sorry to hear about Ddog, Airborne. It's so tough when animals get old.

IDismyname · 07/07/2017 06:25

To those coming tonight:

DONT MENTION THE DDOG.

I will have my happy (and brave) face on.

See you 5.30 at usual venue. I need to find something suitably cool and wafty to wear. Which may involve my coolmax undies.

Meanwhile, DH off to forrin' parts with his fishing rod for a week. I have plans for his paperwork.
