NU, you must be an expert packer by now!

Well done Rose. If only I had your motivation.

But Cremo, I will be showing my ham-arms off (never mind the thunder-thighs!) - it's too hot and life is too short!

BD, that dress is very you - lovely.

Looks like its going to be a scorcher!

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 07:57

BD That dress dress doesn't look like the Classic Collection usual offering at all. I'd wear it...

NU You are a dynamo!
I don't stop eating but the way. That would be unthinkable....It's just a very generous diet for people like me...greedy, and the weight loss is slow..nothing dramatic, but it suits people who cant' do without their treats, like me. I still have such a long way to go, though.

MsMartini · 05/07/2017 07:58

Lovely dress, BD! I am going to M and S later.....I find sleeveless so much cooler I have given up minding about upper arms.

NU, I hope you have a good time, and the weather picks up.

Rose, glad you feeling encouraged.

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 08:02

I agree with you BTM. The tops of my arms have definitely seen better days but if I'm hot, I can't bear sleeves. Today I am wearing a sleeveless, low scooped neck Boden dress from a few years ago which I love and which they don't seem to have repeated this year. It's a bit like this but straps rather than cap sleeves It's the perfect shape for an hourglass!

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 08:12

In fact, I have just on the spur of the moment noticed that that cap sleeved one is back in stock in my size (was completely sold out last time looked...) and have ordered one in each colour way. Blush Blush Blush Had a code....so saved about £35.

That's hilarious Auriga! Rosen, I have that dress in a couple of different colours/patterns. It is indeed a Useful Dress.

IDismyname · 05/07/2017 10:53

Grin Auriga Well spotted.

In Ddog news... we still have him. The vet gave him a few days of meds to counteract nerve pain which she thinks he may have. He's with us in body and mind - just.

We've had no more episodes of him spreadeagled on the floor, but he's now v wary of walking anywhere. He does a lot of standing and gazing into space. It is time, Crepeys, but am waiting for DH to come home tonight (he's been away all week) to... I guess... say goodbye.

motherinferior · 05/07/2017 11:14

Rather to my surprise the two summer chazzer frocks I'm having altered both have short sleeves. But they are such very light cotton that's ok.

NoCureForLove · 05/07/2017 13:14

Rose - I blame you for just having bought a Boden sale dress...

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 14:34

Grin ....poor old Boden. Much maligned on S&B but can't resist it ....

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 14:38

Am going to Wimbledon on Friday. I am seriously worried now it's gonna be hot and I haven't anything really stylish and suitable (corporate hospitality) I want the pink chinos I ordered yesterday to arrive but I bet they won't in time. Argh, Crepeys. Help oh help. Shock
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😬😬😬😬😬

herbaceous · 05/07/2017 14:39

But rose, you've bought about 500 dresses of late - will none do? Grin

Rosenspants · 05/07/2017 15:02

yes youre right...I just think Ill be more comfy in the stands in cotton trews...?

bigTillyMint · 05/07/2017 15:13

I would personally rather a dress. More chance of a bot of a breeze! Plus bare legs.

herbaceous · 05/07/2017 15:15

Bot of breeze, or breeze of bot! Grin

I have to interview a Nice Doctor in person on Friday.

I like the idea of a breeze of bot.

IDismyname · 05/07/2017 18:58

I can heartily recommend any underwear from the M&S Cool Comfort range

I have a pair of their culottes, which I also wear under skirts - they're a complete revelation!

Lovely 'cool bot' when it heats up out there.

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 05/07/2017 19:12

Do you wear those culottes as pants? Or do you put pants under?

hattymattie · 05/07/2017 19:15

Rose - linen trousers - I have a cream Boden pair from years back that are brill (and that I was going to wear at DD's graduation if the temperature hadn't dropped specially for that day). I have to say when it was 40° the other week, linen was the only thing that worked for me. Floaty and cool and not too creased if it's a decent weight.

In DD's flat hunting - it looks like she's going to be living in in an attic flat near Finchley tube (Borough of Camden). Has met a nice girl who she clicked with and they spent one and a half hours chatting so hopefully this is it.

bigTillyMint · 05/07/2017 20:31

Eeeek! Not for me, those culottes Grin

hattymattie · 05/07/2017 21:18

Crepies - can I have a quick vote - which bag (I have a cheque cadeau for Amazon and wanted a small cross body bag).
