Poor dog Airborne. Our dog is seemingly fine but blood tests and a scan sayour something is not right with her. She is heading towards needing a liver biopsy. I'm very worried about her. Thinking of you.

Cremolafoam · 03/07/2017 12:55

Oh Nocure and Airborne, I do weep for your poor doggies. I am so sorry you both have the heartbreak of sick animals. Pretty unbearable.

The breed I have chosen is miniature long haired comme ceci :
This is the wee munchkin I snuggled yesterday. Hoping to get her cousin, if a she.

Back out painting windowsills as a kind of mindless therapy today. Some gentle Pilates has eased my slipped disc back into a less 'knitting needle in the spine' position

Best of luck to all voyaging today and soon. Throw your worries one by one out of the plane window. ( that's what I do anyway) I am not on hols until September BTM. Struggling to get a nice place to stay in Perpignan. Seems to be booked solid.Hmm

motherinferior · 03/07/2017 13:53

I am back from a weekend of inadvertent no phone.Grin

IDismyname · 03/07/2017 17:53

Crem - what a gor-juss bundle.

Im back from the vet. Feel totally wrung out. DS seems to be unusually silent about the whole situation despite texting him this morning. DH at conference for the next 3 days so keeps calling me.

Vet has given me some meds to ease any nerve pain in DDog; she confirmed that we should be thinking about putting him to sleep, and that his quality of Life is not good enough to keep going if he's going to collapse on the kitchen floor overnight.

Typically, he'd rallied this afternoon, so wasn't quite so decrepid when we got to the door of the vets.

I'm supposed to be in London most of tomorrow afternoon - docs appt. Would suggest a swift DnS, but think I'm going to have to get back home for Ddog.

Anyway, I have care sorted properly for Friday night, so bring it on.

motherinferior · 03/07/2017 21:58

I have just sung in a recording of songs of praise. Not something I ever thought I'd do but it was a special one from Southwark Cathedral.

IDismyname · 03/07/2017 22:30

Am I right in thinking they're phasing out SoP?

motherinferior · 03/07/2017 23:04

Quite possibly Grin

MrsKlugscheisser · 03/07/2017 23:04

I used to prefer Stars on Sunday. It was a bit restful after three sessions with the Brethren.

NoCureForLove · 03/07/2017 23:32

Were you brought up in the Brethren Mrs K? Your mother was a... Brother?

MrsKlugscheisser · 03/07/2017 23:39

Not exactly. My schoolfriend's family offered to take the HeathenChild to church, and my mother agreed. They used to pick me up in the morning for the morning service, drop me back for lunch, pick me up again in the afternoon for Sunday school and we used to stay there for the early evening service. I was an only child and was quite pleased to do something with other children at the weekend.

Blackduck · 04/07/2017 06:06

Sorry to hear about dog woes - it is such a worry.
Here it's just wall to wall work and defrosting fridges (at work - in a medical school - not a good thing)

IDismyname · 04/07/2017 06:12

BD - do they find the same kind of yucky stuff in the back of those fridges, as I do (occasionally) in mine??

Was awake faaaarrrr too early this morning. Going to take the (younger) dog out for a walkies... The old man is still in his basket this morning. Which I think is good news.

motherinferior · 04/07/2017 06:58

They really were into the hovercraft parenting , weren't they, MrsK. Not.Angry

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 04/07/2017 15:20

My Crepey skirt has arrived, in the even larger size.... it's fab! Very pleased.

Now I just need a couple of cotton vests, not T shirt material, proper cotton with little straps then I'm sorted!

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 04/07/2017 15:23

Like this http://www.vividlinen.com/missy/product/v34547466227linen-thin-strap-cami&currency=GBP?gclid=CJrH1fTp79QCFUG7GwodjuYNGA but I'm not paying that price!

Rosenspants · 04/07/2017 17:49

straps too wide?

anything here?

Fluffy Am so sorry abut DDog. How has he fared today?

Crem that is the sweetest little thing...fingers crossed got you.

I am thinking of all Crepeys waving their offspring off to forrin...with excitement and a little trepidation. Flowers Having had last year with DS1 in the Southern Hemisphere for 10 months, and DS2 on his first trip in Europe....I know. I was most worried then DS2 was win the overnight bus from Amsterdam to Berlin...dunno why that in particular though....He was fine of course.

I have rewarded my 9lb weight loss Smile so far with pink chinos I have ordered my size and the one above as I always have problems with my fat arse hourglass shape. A 20% voucher code fell out of my GH magazine. I haven't heard of tis company before but seems to have a lot of nice stuff and the sale is on!

motherinferior · 04/07/2017 18:02

You will look v nice in those!

Rosenspants · 04/07/2017 18:03

when not then, on not win...Confused

hattymattie · 04/07/2017 19:05

Hello Crepies - I was wondering how the ailing dog was doing.

That site looks nice Rose. I am now banned from the sales - I went to Galeries Laf today as was meeting a friend for lunch. Found perfect navy blazer half price - bought it as could have done with something like this at DD's graduation. I now have a reasonable number of nice pieces which I'm hoping can cover random formal occasions if I buy new tops and shoes each time.

I like the Lands End vest tops Flipflops.

Weather's gone hot again here and the rosé is calling. I'm all alone as DS has gone to Disneyland - he's texted me to say he's on his way back but is exhausted.

Last week of term here - seems to just consist of half hearted classroom tidying.

herbaceous · 04/07/2017 19:17

Rose - how did you shed your marvellous nine pounds? Please say it wasn't something tedious, like eating less and not drinking wine.

OP posts:
Blackduck · 04/07/2017 19:54

I bought this www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-rich-burnout-print-shift-dress/p/p22506036?image=SD_01_T42_2300C_F4_X_EC_90&color=NAVYMIX&prevPage=plp&pdpredirect
Today - I nearly balked when I saw it was part of the Classic collection (always said you could shoot me as soon as I started liking that stuff, but even the sales assistant was Shock
And is lovely on, nicely lined and hangs well

Cremolafoam · 04/07/2017 20:30

Oh yes BD i saw that close up in marksies the other day and it is spot on. I would have spent my £30 voucher on it except for bare top arms situation. Don't want to offend any Catalans. ( you may notice there would be no opportunities to wear such a thing in NI)
Instead I bought boring underwear and a dipdye t-shirt for Pilates.

Thank you one and all for my cheer up goodies, in case , like me don't really do WA. I am so touched and overwhelmed, and plan the most sweeet smelling and delicious bath later on after work. Big do on tonight I should be out there doing flesh pressing and smiling , but am having a cuppa 'out the back' Grin
You lot are totally wonderful

herbaceous · 04/07/2017 20:41

You totally deserve it Crem.

Rosenspants · 04/07/2017 23:46

Slimming world ...as you know Herbs I'm an online member. I don't drink so that isn't an issue...not that not drinking stops me putting on weight if I overeat!!! I have a long way to go but am cheered that after a very slow start, some weight is coming off at last.

NUFC69 · 05/07/2017 06:47

Congratulations on the weight loss, Rose. I only wish I could stop eating....

Fluffy, so sorry to hear about your lovely dog, it's so difficult making that final decision.

BD, love the dress. Like Crem I really don't have any occasion to wear sleeveless dresses - I think the temp might reach 15 today, and I wore my winter pjs last night.

Off tomorrow, so I should be packing today, instead I have commitments this morning, am having lunch with an old friend who is moving to Yorkshire whilst I am away, have to collect two DGC from school and then baby sit two more DGC whilst their parents go to a school event. I should be home by 7.30 if I am lucky.

And it's still raining.....
