Dh wants to buy me a gift and I'm not sure what I want . I quite like the mulberry Freya . I have an Antony already and I like it . I fancy something a bit more handbaggy.

I also have a Mulberry mini kite in navy blue, beautiful bag.

AmberNectarine · 28/12/2016 12:42

Oh yes a PS11 or a Goyard tote also a great idea

blingy I just want an Antigona, probably not ideal for the OP. Nightingale more slouchy as Givenchys go. I quite like a bit of a bag bunfight.

hollyisalovelyname · 28/12/2016 13:15

Goyard Saint Louis tote - the price and they're not even leather!!!
Someone's having a laugh.

DragonNoodleCake · 28/12/2016 13:26

The Freya looks lovely

PollysPoppy · 28/12/2016 14:16

imjessie, lucky you! Find one you love and enjoy it every time you use it!

I have the Tessie Hobo you linked to back at the start of the tread. Only have it a few months but love it. It's Oxblood and the coliur is great - rich, warm, goes with everything!

Happy bag shopping!

imjessie · 28/12/2016 14:33

Thank you all for your suggestions !! And sticking up for me ( although I'm not sure why people think they have the right to comment on my life and bank balance 🙄) ... think my heart is set on an oxblood mulberry so either the Freya , tessie or I do like the Alice .. 🤔

Great choice OP, I would love an oxblood mulberry but have had a new bag this year. Let us know your final decision! Enjoy it

talkingtoclarry · 28/12/2016 17:26

Have you tried the FB selling groups for Mulberry? Maybe not what you are after but those ladies certainly look after their bags so when they decide to sell on you can get some real bargains.

imjessie · 28/12/2016 17:40

I'm on them ! Mainly to get ideas ! Thank you .

My Tessie has arrived but it's going back. It's nice but I just don't love it in the way I do my old Mulberry bags. I had an Elgin and a Mitzi Hobo stolen and it doesn't come close to either of them.

I also had two Vivienne Westwood Vivienne's bags delivered in different colours and at half the price of the Tessie I think I will keep them both.

SuperPug · 29/12/2016 11:08

Have you tried Bicester? They have a Mulberrry there but I don't think the bargains were as good as they were years ago.
Outside of the sales, some places offer 30% off designer bags at certain times of the year. I signed up to the Harrods points card which I would never really use but it lets you know about these offers and previews for sales.

AmberNectarine · 29/12/2016 13:50

The Shepton Mallet outlet really is very good, better than Bicester I'd say. They had lots of lovely things when I was there earlier in the year.

QuandryQueen · 29/12/2016 13:54

I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a bag so I'd buy this

www.katespade.co.uk/uk/satchels/cedar-street-maise/invt/pxru4471-902

And spend the rest on other stuff (still for me of course like pj's and shoes and make up)

MemorySoup · 29/12/2016 13:58

I'd get an Anya Hindmarch Maxi Zip satchel

TweedleDee3TweedleDum · 29/12/2016 14:04

It would have to be a YSL, or D&G, no wait, a Dior!! Ahh! All the bags!

SleepFreeZone · 29/12/2016 14:21

I love Fossil bags but they're not that much! 🙊

Larastheme · 29/12/2016 14:39

Oh god no outlets! Anyone who spends £1k in an outlet or sites like brand ally ,need a through mental examination, Brands are really capitlasing on the outlet trend, specially mullbery and burberry.their are no savings made, you are buying a specifically made product for the outlet market.
Sticking with a department store is the way to go, department stores really do great markdowns even prestigious ones like harrods because they need to get rid of all merchandise,

hollyisalovelyname · 29/12/2016 14:53

SleepFree
Apparently Fossil make Michael Kors and DKNY and lots more.
A poster on Mumsnet has said.

GreatNorthern · 29/12/2016 15:11

surely what you mean is that Fossil, MK and DKNY are all either owned by the same company or made in the same factory? It doesn't mean they are the same quality, design or anything in fact. It more likely means they are a company owning all the brands- just like there are only around 3 companies owning all cosmetic brands.

feelinginthedark · 29/12/2016 15:30

I'd get a mansur Gavriel bucket bag. So understated and classic and not everywhere. And nicer in real life than in pictures. I just got my coveted lv neverfull for Christmas and am now saving for the bucket bag.

endoflevelbaddy · 29/12/2016 16:08

I'm pining after a double zip Bayswater, will definitely be my next addition to my Mulberry collection when my bonus comes through. They are lovely in the flesh Grin

OCSockOrphanage · 29/12/2016 17:10

Late to the thread! Am I too late to suggest the Loewe Puzzle bag? They are gorgeous, but possibly at the top end of the OP's budget. I would struggle to choose the colour though.

OCSockOrphanage · 29/12/2016 17:16

Actually maybe one of these

imjessie · 30/12/2016 11:56

www.mulberry.com/us/shop/clifton/clifton-oak-natural-grain-leather. So this just happened .. it suits me perfectly and it's beautiful .. I'm going to get a matching purse but they didn't have it in the right colour .. lucky me ! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
