Dh wants to buy me a gift and I'm not sure what I want . I quite like the mulberry Freya . I have an Antony already and I like it . I fancy something a bit more handbaggy.

I wouldn't spend it on a bag!

Itrynotto · 24/12/2016 21:15

So helpful nutty.

ShimmeringIce · 24/12/2016 21:15

Sorry, judgy-much here unless you're also giving £1000 to charity. Which you may well be...

ashtrayheart · 24/12/2016 21:16

Me neither that's crazy. But then my bag was £5 from primark Xmas Grin

mydietstartsmonday · 24/12/2016 21:17

Louis Vuitton neverfull MG

TheCaptainsMum · 24/12/2016 21:18

I'd buy a couple of short holidays and a cheap bag from primark. But that's me.

imjessie · 24/12/2016 21:20

Thanks for that 🙄... my dh has had a considerable bonus . I volunteer for cancer research and donate so I'm all covered for charideeeee.. where are the bag lovers ??

What bags do you like OP- hobo? Cross body? What will you use it for?

Crispbutty · 24/12/2016 21:24

I would definately wait and get something in the sales. For that money I would want something classic that would last years. I spent a lot of money on a nude colour bag and it got marked very easily so I would go for a darker colour if I'm ever fortunate enough to be able to get another.

Maudlinmaud · 24/12/2016 21:25

I would choose the chanel timeless in black but it's not in your price range.

imjessie · 24/12/2016 21:27

I like the Mulberry Freya in oxblood but I think it's new so I doubt it will be in the sale . I'm putting out feelers for ideas so I can try and get it in the sale . I will use it for everyday . I don't work but like something plain ish .

Not sure how much they are, but dh bought me a Mulberry Bayswater a couple of years ago and I use it every day - love it.

FatOldBag · 24/12/2016 21:29

I'd buy a £20 bag and have the rest for a weekend away or something.

frenchvintagerose · 24/12/2016 21:30

I would buy two I think - I love Kate Spade bags and you could get a lovely day to day bag and a nice occasion bag too and probably have some left for a city break too!

thenightsky · 24/12/2016 21:32

Just googled Chanel Timeless. Gorgeous, but that is just silly money! Shock

SloanePeterson · 24/12/2016 21:33

A Chloe Marcie. I'd never do it but I lust over it from afar

imjessie · 24/12/2016 21:33

I can't do a city break , we have a son with special needs hence why my dh wants to treat me so although we have money to spare our life is often a little sad and bloody hard work so just indulge me helping my choice of bags if you are interested in bags please .

Can you show us a photo of the bags you like maybe and we can vote :)

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 24/12/2016 21:36

I'd love a Radley bag, but could never justify the cost...

NoArmaniNoPunani · 24/12/2016 21:36

I'd get a black leather Alexander McQueen. I saw the exact one I wanted but had a baby instead. He's cost me more than the handbag would have

imjessie · 24/12/2016 21:37

I like this one

The neverfull or a Gucci Soho disco.
MN hates anyone having an expensive bag, I bloody love them and couldn't give a shit what anyone thinks.
Enjoy whatever you choose.

HmmmHashtag · 24/12/2016 21:39

I'd go for a Bayswater over a Freya. Classic and timeless.
