I've never tried a Yves Rocher lipstick....now I want to go get one Shock

DragonNoodleCake · 19/12/2016 19:08

I just looked on the website and the Grand Rouge lipsticks are half price, good job I need to bath DD2 so I can step away from the internet...for now

kwick · 19/12/2016 21:08

I am not sure I will do a list for January - may just try to wear full make-up each day and be real glam Grin

I'm a bit further away than Edinburgh and Copenhagen.
I'm the poster girl for Scandi minimalism 🦄

DragonNoodle the good about YR lipsticks ( I spent last night on their site brushing up my French ) is that they really glide on, are easy to wear, and that the flattering, pigmented colors have a pretty fade. The bad is that they are scented (cherry/almond smell) and transfer easily and that you will need one or more touchups during the day.

I also like that for the price of one Chanel lipstick (finishing one any day now!) I can get five quite nice ones.

Quoting Joelle Hyman: Yes, I know all 20 of these lipsticks are red. No, they are not the same. ✨👼🏻💄⚡️👀✨

applesandpears33 · 19/12/2016 21:49

I'm enjoying trying to be a bit more glam, although DH did tell me I'd overdone the blusher the other day.

I'm going to try and make up a list of another ten products to finish by the end of February, although I've not yet finished my ten by Christmas but will do so within the next few days as I've just about finished off an Arran Aromatics After the Rain shower gel. Really nice, and I'm a bit sad it is almost finished but I have lots more to look forward to.

So my new list is going to be:-

Chainbridge Honey Farm moisturiser
Chainbridge Honey Farm hand balm
Clinique colour pop lipstick
E45 cream
Bayliss and Harding shower gel
Clinique yellow moisturiser (small trial pack that you always get in their deals)
Burts Bees hand balm
Clinique sample face powder
I need to find another two products. I have a never ending clinique tinted moisturiser and a touche eclait that must be almost finished.

kwick · 20/12/2016 08:47

I have 2 empties!! Both from my 12 for Christmas list!!!

  • Glamglow eye thing - do not like- stings
  • Tododia orchid body scrub/wash - I am not a big fan of scrubs

Only 1 listing left: 2 NEVERENDING No7 cream eyeshadows.... getting very bored of wearing them every day since October!!!

They look pretty done to me. I have one thing remaining, and I may do it in the next few days. it's in a tube ans its so hard to seehow much there is left. It'll be done by New Years for sure.

kwick · 20/12/2016 11:29

Thanks dog Grin I will use up to 31st and then chuck!

Kwick - you are done andy can move on to new and exciting products!

I got another Missha serum today - my faves, easy and quick to use up.

A full workday, went to the supermarket three times, plus dealing with lots of high emotion. I just want to exhale...

#redtilxmas YR Rouge Rayonnant & Corail Incandescent

applesandpears33 · 20/12/2016 20:56

E45 cream and shower gel finished today. That's me finished my ten by Christmas and one from my ten by end of Feb list. I feel as though I'm starting to make progress, but am sure I will be given more lovely toiletries at the weekend.

DragonNoodleCake · 20/12/2016 22:27

Just fell into bed after tidying whole house (cleaner is in tomorrow) and I can feel my skin begging me for moisture but I just can't move. Will double layering tomorrow work?
Am I the only one who is too lazy to moisturise regularly?

FrustratedFrugal · 21/12/2016 06:47

#redtilxmas: I've finished Chanel Coco Rouge Cambon. A fantastic face-brightening bright pinky red lipstick, super flattering on me. I like Chanel lipsticks, they are lovely and comfortable to wear. This shade is discontinued, and I have been using it sparingly because I cannot repurchase it.

However, I have found a few budget lipsticks that are equally wearable and pretty. I replaced my previous MLBB Chanel favorite (Coco Rouge Satin) with a lipstick from Kiko (Intensely Lavish #1). For the price of a Chanel Coco Rouge, I was able to get five Yves Rocher Grand Rouges from their closing sale: the full range of reds from bright orangey flame red to classic red, cranberry red, and bright and muted pink reds. YR Rose Somptueux and Rouge Gourmand are fairly close to Cambon and feel perhaps a tad nicer on my lips.

RIP Cambon, 5/10 gone from my New Year list!

frustrated I hope you are feeling more relaxed.
BTW You really rock a red lip Grin

Good work Apples!!!

I am often too lazy to moisturise and very occasionally remove my makeup Shock I try very hard to not skip the cleansing though - hence my use of micellar waters - very quick and easy to use.

applesandpears33 · 21/12/2016 07:52

I always moisturise as I get eczema and need to keep on top of it. I don't always remember to take make up off after a night out though so not so good on the cleansing front.

DragonNoodleCake · 21/12/2016 08:50

Shit - I seem to have misplaced my wedding/engagement rings. I hope somewhere in the house. FFS I was tired last night

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 21/12/2016 08:55

Good luck finding dragon hate it when I do that. Yeah forget to moisturise too even though I have lots on bedside table.

Still #redtillxmas and getting compliments. Rimmel so lovely colour but doesn't last. Maybe need Chanel?!?! frustrated lip win again!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 21/12/2016 08:57

And xmas earring too!

  • Cleanse

  • nose strips on T zone (at this stage currently)
  • clay based mask
  • Garnier moisture bomb mask - 3rd and final use
All whilst watching "New Years Eve"... BLISS!!!!

I'm having a pamper morning. Have tinted my eyelashes and brows, coloured my hair, had a lovely bubbly bath! Considered doing a face mask but frankly that's taking things a bit far Grin

Feels very decadent and I'm sure that there are a number of more constructive ways I could have spent my morning but I feel ready to face Christmas now.

kwick · 21/12/2016 10:46

Had to cut short my facial - masks will have to be done later!!

I have an empty:
Sanctuary protect wake up and revive eye... ok but not amazing!

You're all so glam!
Finished another mascara today - it was a Cover Girl from the US, and had a weird wand so didn't really like it.

So far rotating my lipsticks had led to me chucking 1 of the 4 I've tried so far. I need to keep being strict on what stays and what goes. The plum sephora one ifrom this morning is a keeper.

FrustratedFrugal · 21/12/2016 18:26

Ooh loving the lip gallery! That matte red really looks fab on you PinkiePie and great that you are joining us Kwick!

Dogday chucking unwanted stuff is great - I wish I could do that too. I still have some items that are never getting worn. But my stash is getting more manageable and I am rotating and enjoying it far more thanks to you ladies!

Today's advent treat was my favorite one, Missha Marine Stem Cell Serum, sadly discontinued (or I'd buy a full bottle). It does not smell fishy and I do not believe in stem cells in cosmetic contexts but it feels great and has pleasant primer properties.
