Goodness it's been busy on here!
Just one empty to log, an Avalon Organics Rejuvenating Rosemary body lotion. I love their range, as the scents are so natural: I hate fake-smelling rosemary or lavender. No need to repurchase as I hate two in the stash!

MotherofPearl · 27/01/2017 19:41

have not hate, obvs Blush

MrsDilligaf · 27/01/2017 20:39

I was going to recommend Wen Haircare as it made my very dry hair look stunning. However, I just went to get you a link and it seems it isn't as wonderful as I thought! Shock

Certainly wouldn't fit in with your "no nasties" approach. What have you tried so far?

kwick · 27/01/2017 21:12

Thanks for looking mrsd
😍

I have tried:
Loreal clay stuff
Klorane stuff
Lush shampoo bar for oily hair
The Akin stuff I am using at the mo
Other stuff my too tired to remember

So many empties well done guys. I'm out again(such a lush I know) but me and my girlfriends are at a charity do!
I pulled out all the stops and made up to the nines again, I might get through some of this makeup at the rate I'm going out these days!

DragonNoodleCake · 27/01/2017 21:32

Kwick have you tried Redken cleansing cream shampoo? I love it. I could send you a wee bottle to try!

DragonNoodleCake · 27/01/2017 21:34

Dysongirl I moved from doublewear to Lancôme teint miracle a couple of years ago - would never go back. My girlfriend just told me my complexion looks flawless tonight - that's good enough reason for me!

FiveShelties · 27/01/2017 21:44

Wow this thread is moving quickly. I keep writing down all the recommendations and when I get into my new home I am just going to spend and stock up and spend and stock up etc

Sorry that is not quite in the spirit on the thread - there is no hope for me.Grin

MrsDilligaf · 27/01/2017 22:03

Estee Lauder gift time is on at House of Fraser...dum de dum

Redken shampoo is lovely. I used to use all soft 💜

To be perfectly honest since I've had all my hair cut off (v long past my bra strap long to v short inverted bob) my hair has been great. I colour it once a month, cut every 6 - 8 weeks and can use whatever is on offer in Tesco now - I couldn't have done when it was long - I struggled to get a brush through it.

If you can get hold of sachets of shampoo try those - I've got a few I'll stick in the post to you. But start with cheapo £1.00 stuff which if you hate after a week just bin and work your way through until you find one. Poundland have a good range

I'd also hugely recommended the Kerastase range which I also loved. Finally try a clarifying shampoo - pantene always used to do one - not sure about nasties though!!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 27/01/2017 23:26

Hi ladies. Evening
I was coming on to recommend a lush bar kwick but see you've tried. I really want to try Kerastase. Hear such good things but where do you start with picking one?

Out tonight with DH. Lovely. Now watching graham norton with trainspotting boys on it. All looking so old. Fair takes me back. I used to drink in trainspotting pub when I'm uni halls in Glasgow. And DS was set to be in it as young Sickboy when taken ill. Prob for best as might have scarred him for life. Can't wait to see it.

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 01:18

Mrs my daily go to shampoo is all soft I love it. I use the cleansing cream if I feel like I've used lots of products recently.
Kwick we might need to check ingredients before sending you a sample (that's if you want to try)

DH picked me up slightly inebriated from my friends house! We danced for 2 hours straight Grin my feet are feeling it Hmm

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 01:20

Mrs I'm with you - cutting my hair was the best thing I did!!

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 01:24

What happened with the toilet kwick? Is it fixed. Bloody nightmare when stuff like that happens.

As you can see I am slowly catching up with news and responding accordingly. I'm still slightly pissed so I apologise for doing it in hundreds of little comments because I'm too pissed to remember all the things to say in one post but not so pissed that I've given up trying...yet

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 01:28

Can't there is a Penhaligons in Edinburgh and I want to go...I'll make sure I go after bonus payday. I'm so jealous of your visit x

MrsDilligaf · 28/01/2017 07:28

@Another - I used to run a Hair and Beauty salon and we stocked Kerastase. Best thing to do is find a stockist and speak to one of the stylists. Mine were regularly trained on all the ranges we held.

@Dragon how's your head this morning? I have a night nurse hangover! I was shattered last night so hit the green stuff. Slept like a dream but the pay off is a groggy head!

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 08:12

I'm off to a swish hotel tonight with dh. Must not bring products home.

Colleague yesterday told me about boots' threefa on soap n glory. Apparently (if I've got this right) buy two hand creams (full size) and get a tub of body butter free. So spend £11 and get something worth £10 free. Good deal. If you need it I am staying well away

kwick · 28/01/2017 08:53

Wow thread has been busy - will check back later - just coming on to proudly declare that I have finished 2 products both from my #5fullsize list!!!

  • Body Shop silky cleansing oil - really like this but think I prefer No7 version. Anyway I am moving on to the raved about coconut oil!
  • Bayliss and Harding body lotion travel size alongside the shower cream and body wash makes a "full size"

Have a great weekend everyone!

I caved to this deal for the heel genius ememem. I felt quite pleased with myself I'm afraid. I have no shame... it's any products as long as you spend £11 I think. You get a little gift bag thing too with stickers... which I said I didn't want and the boots lady looked a bit offended. Oops.

dragon I hope there isn't a Frenchman with a hammer in your head this morning! (My entire family use this phrase for a hangover, it's never occurred to be before that it's odd. Anyone else ever heard it or know where it's from?) I think they told us that the Burlington Arcade Penhaligons is the only one where they do the full scent profiling. But it's worth asking anyway, I'm sure they have similar training. They have an online version on their website but I did it for comparison and it didn't come out with any the same. It's was quite fun to do there online thing but I don't think I'd rely on it!

CantChoose · 28/01/2017 09:00

Wow well done on the empties kwik!
I cut open a face mask tube last night but there's still one application left. I'm aiming for Sunday night to finish that off. It's a balance me radiance mask. I don't like it much.
I've been applying face masks with a make up brush since reading the tip online, I would recommend it.

DragonNoodleCake · 28/01/2017 10:20

Well I'm awake and feel 'ok' but a bacon butty and a big long hot shower is calling me...
With S&G scrub!

kwick · 28/01/2017 10:23

dragon that is sooooo kind of you Smile😍💕

five i am right there with you - only I am not moving!!!

mrsd thank you too! 😘💕💜

Ingredients wise shampoos should be ok - it is the conditioners that contain the nasties.

dragon glad you had a good night on the tiles!

Toilet update: I did a bit of tweaking and think it is a little better for now.

eme enjoy the swish hotel Smile

Sounds like quite a few of you have a stressful week behind you but I love to hear how you unwind. Dragon your night out sounds epic and Em Envy

I'm feeling listless. The weather is awful and I've eaten lots of rubbish this week - feeling a bit bloated. Worse, I've not exercised much. And my sleep is off whack too. The good thing is that I have also been incredibly creative, new ideas just flow. Maintaining work-life balance takes a lot of effort. Today I took the time and visited my parents, they were extremely pleased.

I have two #fullsize empties:
Aveda Rosemary & Mint conditioner, I like it but won't repurchase, nice and pleasant smelling but too pricey for what it is.
I also finished a bottle of homemade liquid soap (meh).

Needastrongone · 28/01/2017 18:24

Enjoy the hotel Em.

I'm ready for spring now too Frugal, I get fed up of winter by the end of January.

The S&G offer is interesting, as I use all those products. But I do have stocks of these products anyway.

Grin at Dragon.

No empties to report, I did go into JL yesterday and resist temptation, although the Naked palette or MAC eye shadow called me.

I did get a lovely Tommy Hilfiger blouse reduced to £30 from £80, which 'ain't beauty I know Smile

kwick · 28/01/2017 18:49

frustrated how do you make homemade liquid soap? Hmm

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 19:22

frugal I go riding to unwind. Or go to the gym. Or book a holiday. Or cook an extravagant dinner.

Once when I was super stressed I made a Mexican feast. For me and dh. Tacos burritos enchilada and cerviche.
