ememem84 · 20/01/2017 22:10

Finished a clarins cleanser. A full size.

DragonNoodleCake · 20/01/2017 22:22

I didn't make it to boots ....now I'm sad

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 20/01/2017 22:24

frugal Flowers hope you're relaxing after tough week. And well done for not shopping. Me too ( except £4 Taylor swift perfume reduced in local pharmacy: yes I am 36!) but jeez tough and not even a tough week! Keep going sister. We can do it!

Except in boots sale. Then it's every man for himself!

AlfaMummy · 20/01/2017 23:45

No Boots sale bargains and no empties either. I am however going shopping tomorrow...

CantChoose · 21/01/2017 01:03

I have not been to a if enough boots and I really need want a soap and glory set...

CantChoose · 21/01/2017 01:03

*big enough

kwick · 21/01/2017 07:34

I feel like I want to open my own store: kwick's emporium that way in ONE place you would be able to get drugstore favourites, French pharmacy gems and the best of Space NK and M&S (Hourglass, Eve Lom, Pixi, etc). Clearly everyone on this thread would get a mahoosive discount and we would have the best reward card EVER!!!

Grin kwick.

One empty to report. A Charles Worthington moisture seal shampoo. Perfectly fine. Would use again but wouldn't rush out to buy. I've yet to find my perfect shampoo.

I've quite a few products so close to empty, it's frustrating!

FrustratedFrugal · 21/01/2017 08:06

Kwick you have a dedicated repeat customer right here!

Thanks for your kind words PinkiePie! Sending you shopping-resisting vibes and enjoy your perfume fix (- and congrats on snapping up that TS 'fume - I have a major perfume stash but there are a few drugstore cheapies that I am totally obsessed with).

The sun is out, spring is in the air! I took a break from my brick-red Max Factor lippy. This is a smile of relief with Yves Rocher Corail Incandescent.

Oh and I have an empty! Korres Bergamot Pear 40ml mini shower gel. A perfectly nice non-sweet fruit smell in a travel bottle. Annoyingly its flip top cap has a tendency to open spontaneously. I enjoyed the product but won't rebuy - Korres Fig and Korres Santorini Vine are my favorite scented shower products and This Works travel bottles are the best I've come across.

Knock em dead frugal you look about 22! I'm gonna look out for that lipstick. Maybe it'll do the same for me!
kwick sign me up for your serial offenders scheme. I'd be there like a shot!

I have been looking for packaging rubbish for DS project at school. Lot of fancy packaging amongst my egg boxes and yoghurt pots!

FrustratedFrugal · 21/01/2017 10:16

Thanks ladies! I am obsessed with YR Grand Rouges, and although I am buying nothing, I checked their French site to drool over their pinks that I do not own yet. A French customer wrote there that she has seen more and more shades disappear from her local YR shop - and here is what their customer service replied -

"France · Service Clients · il y a un jour

Bonjour, Merci beaucoup pour votre avis concernant le Grand Rouge. La production de cette gamme va en effet s'arrêter. Toutefois, vous pourrez retrouver au mois de mars une nouvelle gamme Grand Rouge qui sera commercialisée en 20 teintes. A bientôt !"

So if you have a b&m YR shop locally, keep an eye on sales because you might snap up some bargains! And if they do a proper online sale, I will suspend my shopping ban My Grand Rouge Corail Incandescent cost 4€ In their closing sale and I prefer it over my Chanel and Nars lippies Wink

I'm almost done with my Wella hairspray and hair mousse and bought replacements at the supermarket today because I have no backup bottles left!!!! And I do not have any backup shampoo!!!! (My longtime fave has been discontinued so have to find something new, sigh)

DragonNoodleCake · 21/01/2017 20:01

Kwick is shop in your emporium

Frugal you look amazing

I had LVL lashes done this morning so I will post pictures tomorrow

CantChoose · 22/01/2017 00:02

frugal that lipstick looks amazing! I'm not brave enough to wear such a bold shade but you look fabulous!

I went to boots (I'm blaming ineedastrongone) and did a Bad Thing; bought two heel genius' so got a free diamond butter. In my defence, I've held off replacing my finished one for ages but nothing from my stash compares. And it was a bargain... I'd gone in looking for the big S&G set reduced but sadly the whole front of the store looked like it had been looted, I was clearly too late!

I also did a Good Thing and sorted my nail varinshes and got rid of about 50% (I will give these to my friend's daughter, I am just about in an age bracket that she considers me 'cool' and eagerly awaits anything I clear out) and I finished a full size Lancôme eye make up remover.

ememem84 · 22/01/2017 10:48

Used a sample of jo Malone body oil. Pomegranate noir. Quite nice. My skin feels super smooth.

kwick · 22/01/2017 11:51

Two empties from my end:

  • Clinique rinse off foaming cleanser - I found this too harsh
  • Aromatherapy Associates hydrating renewing rise cleanser - not good at taking off make-up
Both were travel size.

Can't Nothing wrong with stocking up on Heel Genius, it's The Best Product Ever. Grin

2 empties -
Sanctuary shower gel and body lotion. Decent sized bottles from the Advent Calendar. Both perfectly fine. Neither filled me with joy or the need to rush out and purchase. I would use again, but not buy again I guess.

I will also use up the Emma Hardie Moringa cleansing balm tonight. I have already bought a huge pot, which will last me forever which was expensive (£60, the tiny pot lasted me a month). It's wonderful stuff, so soft. Takes all traces of make up off, gentle. Smells divine and my skin feels cleansed and moisturised all at once.

CantChoose · 22/01/2017 15:36

My feet feel like clouds needastrongone Smile

FrustratedFrugal · 22/01/2017 16:19

I've finished the first full-size product tackled this month - Lumene Vitamin C moisturizer. I avoid creams on my face, this is old stash and I ended up using it on my legs. Felt and smelled really pleasant and lush but I prefer other body products - Joik mandarin grapefruit is probably my fave atm. And I am working on a huge tub of body butter that will probably last until spring!

What a great weekend! Lots of sunshine and fresh air and some snow. On my way home, I bought a bunch of goodies from a Turkish market (baklava, wine leaf sarma, and delicious sesame seed bread) and some really nice fruit tea. Found an engrossing book and had a nap. Totally de-stressed!

FiveShelties · 22/01/2017 17:17

frugal you look fantastic.

kwick signing up for the new store - cannot wait for the Grand Opening and the launch of the Advent Calendar which starts around 1st September.

I have used an Astral small moisturiser 50ml pot which was as cheap as anything and I bought to take on holiday as small and light container. I would buy this again, and I think it cost £1. Also gone are two Tresemme Samples Youth Boost, one shampoo and one conditioner. These were really small samples and I used them up with one wash and I have very very short hair so difficult to judge after one use but hair feels ok.

I had to buy shampoo and condition as none left in the stash - I find it really strange to buy something because I actually need it. Grin

kwick · 22/01/2017 19:55

frustrated glad you have had a relaxing day Smile if you do not put cream on your face how do you stop it drying out? Please share your magic secret!!!

Amazeballs progress five Grin
