Not sure how long ago I started one of these threads but feel it's time for another Grin so come on everyone tell me what your using and what's your skin type Smile

OP posts:
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/10/2016 18:11

Wilko sensitive eye make up remover
Waitrose sensitive soap
Aveeno cream

Best routine I've ever had after years of using expensive products.

hairymuffet · 14/10/2016 18:11

Wash face, dry face.
Apply moisturiser Blush

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/10/2016 18:12

**super sensitive skin with mild flushing rosacea

hollinhurst84 · 14/10/2016 19:12

Oh god how long have you got GrinGrin
Cystic acne prone, also has dry patches. I am currently completely spot free (miracle!)

Am
Boots botanics lotion cleanser
The ordinary Alpha arbutin
Secret key 24k gold moisturiser
Etude house face blue

PM
Olay cream eye makeup remover
Trilogy balm cleanser with hot flannel
Then either (on alternate days)
The ordinary 2% retinol
OR
The ordinary HA/b5 followed by the ordinary niaci/zinc
Body shop drops brightening cream
Sometimes a sleep mask

I use sheet masks every few days as well

littlepooch · 14/10/2016 19:18

Combination skin (slightly oiler at the mo)

Am
Soap and glory face wash
Estée Lauder day wear moisturiser
LRP eye cream

Pm
Soap and glory face wash
Estée Lauder advanced night repair
Estée Lauder revitalising supreme moisturiser
Estée Lauder advanced night repair eye serum

It has taken me years to accept that this is what works for my skin and every time I get bored and want to try something else it does not end well and I end up spending more and going back to this :)

Badders123 · 14/10/2016 19:30

I'm 44
Only started using skin care when I turned 40 Blush
Used Liz Earle for ages - but the last cleanser I bought was horrible
Switched to Nivea and Estée Lauder Smile
Am: Nivea cleanser, Nivea toner and Q10 day cream
Pm: Nivea cleanser, Estée Lauder advanced night repair, Nivea Q10 night cream and Estée Lauder eye serum
Id love to use Estée Lauder face stuff but the cleanser made my skin tight and the day cream was horrible Confused
I do like the night repair though

Judydreamsofhorses · 14/10/2016 20:04

OCSockOrphanage · 14/10/2016 20:23

Old (60)

Morning, before shower, Dermologica pre cleanse, into shower, remove, then Dermologica special cleaning gel and a brush with Lidl silicone brush. After shower, Bioderma Hydrabio serum and a few drops of marula oil. No make up generally. PM, often nothing at all but more precleanse if I have worn make up, removed with micellar water.light moisturiser (currently Moisture surge) and more marula oil.

I have a few wrinkly bits and turkey neck but nothing to agonise over given my age. I look the same as I did at 45, if I take my glasses off!
(Probably only to me, and blame presbyopia for the rest. )

bunnybleu · 14/10/2016 20:28

Avene Extremely Gentle cleanser
Olay Total Effects Fragrance Free (day)
Clarins night cream
Eye cream is either Nivea Q10 or Clinique All About Eyes
LRP Effaclar Duo cream on my tzone

Have had a foray into some other products over the summer but have come back to my old faithfuls. Foundation is still Body Shop although my DH brought me back some Double Wear from the EL hq staff shop which is good for extra coverage if needed.

bunnybleu · 14/10/2016 20:35

I've also just starting taking Boots vitamins for skin, hair and nails to see what they do I live in hope

Also, bought some Dermalogica Gentle Exfoliating Cream (I think) which is tingly but ok and hasn't made my skin react, so I use this twice a week as my exfoliator.

botemp · 14/10/2016 20:57

Sensitive/reactive skin (mostly triggered by petroleum derived ingredients, conservatives, and/or fragrance), early 30s, genetically dehydrated, normal-dry. Avoid silicones as much as possible. Usually wear tinted moisturiser and minimal makeup.

AM:

-Rinse with water, Kibiki Premium Facial Wash, or Aurelia Miracle Cleanser
-Melano CC Vit C serum (Getting The Ordinary one next)
-Kohaku-hada Lotion (similar to Hada Labo, basically a HA lotion/serum)
-Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream (It's nothing special, bought it with a deep discount, the only remarkable thing about it is that it doesn't irritate me. Needs to be finished up, would not recommend or RP.)
-Verso Day Cream
-Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Essence Milk SPF50

PM

-Muji Sensitive Cleansing Oil
-Kibiki Premium Facial Wash

on alternate nights:

-Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid (took a break from this but slowly reintroducing it with this weather for pores on chin and nose)
-Biologique Recherche Lotion P50W (love)
-Kohaku-hada Lotion
-Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream
-Naruko Magnolia Brightening and Firming Night Gelly EX
-Facial oil (Jojoba, Rose Plus Booster, or 9 Oil Cleansing tonic from MV Organic, or Komeyu Rice Bran Oil from Japan. Also finishing up the last of my Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

other nights:
cleanse as above
-Melano CC Vit C serum
-Verso Super Eye Serum
-Verso Super Facial Serum
-Kohaku-hada Lotion
-Naruko Magnolia Brightening and Firming Night Gelly EX
-Facial oil

Usually mask once a week (sheet, clay, or modelling) and try to do a facial massage when applying facial oil every night.

DerelictMyBalls · 14/10/2016 21:02

42 and fairly normal skin with acne scarring.

AM: cleanse with Lush 9 - 5 and warm flannel
Moisturise with L'Occitane Creme Divine

PM: remove make up with 9 - 5
Hot cloth cleanse with Lush Ultrabland
Twice weekly tone with Nip & Fab Extreme Glycolic
Hydraluron
Moisturise with Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator

Once a week, healing clay mask followed by Body Shop Bouncy Sleeping Mask.

Indecisivejo · 15/10/2016 10:22

Nobody else playing? Sad

OP posts:
botemp · 15/10/2016 10:29

I played... and am now left wondering if I'm the only one wearing SPF these days...

JubyLoob · 15/10/2016 10:34

I'm keeping it simple (and cheap!) lately and pleased with myself Grin

Night time:
Cleanse with warm flannel and Bodyshop cammomile cleansing butter
Aldi Lacura serum
Aldi Lacura caviar night cream

Morning:
Aldi caviar day cream SPF15 ( I put Biore watery Essence SPF 50 on top during the lighter months)

I'm done with expensive nonsensey miracle creams, and all the hardcore retinol/glycerol type stuff made my skin thin and dry.

CakeNinja · 15/10/2016 10:38

Wash face daily in the shower with whatever shower gel I'm doing my body with.
Dry on a towel.
Done!

BadlyDrawnBuoy · 15/10/2016 10:41

Morning:
Cetaphil cleanser & hot flannel
Occasionally a nip & fab pad if skin is flakey
Vichy aqualia serum
Dermalogica moisturiser
Dermalogica eye cream
La Roche posey spf 30

Pm
Dermalogica pre-cleanse oil
Cetaphil + hot flannel
3 x week Retin A 1%
Otherwise if not a Retun A night I the Superdrug serum that Sali Hughes raves about (can't remember what it's called)
Dermalogica eye cream
Dermalogica moisturiser

Badders123 · 15/10/2016 10:52

Both my Nivea creams have spf in

Littlebeek · 15/10/2016 10:55

I have oily skin (never used to have but excess use of elemis super serum ruined my skin)

So now I use the Clinique 3 step for oily skin and it's worked wonders.

Face wash
Clarifying lotion
Moisturizing gel

Kennington · 15/10/2016 11:22

Combination skin prone to blackheads but I have none now.
am: waitrose bar soap in shower then effaclar duo moisturiser with some eucerin 5% urea on cheeks.
Pm: grapeseed oil cleanse to remove make up, then bar soap to wash oily areas.
2x week Vichy normaderm acid lotion on nose and chin. Grapeseed oil everywhere else. Plus in winter lanolin near eyes.

usernumber007 · 15/10/2016 11:25

I'm just Shock at the amount of products some people use.
My current routine is Liz Earle hot clothe cleanser twice a day. That's it. Early 30's, normal (slightly sensitive) skin. I keep thinking I should invest in a moisturiser at some point but I don't like too many products on my face

Abominablebride · 15/10/2016 11:38

AM

Micellar water cleanse
Salicylic acid cleansing pad
Serum
SPF 30 facial suncream
Moisturiser
Primer
Make - up

No particular brands, depends on time of year and how flush I'm feeling.

Pm

Cleanse
Hot cloth cleanse
Night cream with retinol
Or Alpha H liquid gold

GottaCatchEmAll137 · 15/10/2016 11:44

Early 30s - dry acne prone

AM
Paula's Choice Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser
Givency Hydrasparkling Serum
Lush Celestial Moisturiser (holy grail)
300mg trimethoprim orally

PM
Garnier micellar water
Isotrex gel (retinal)
300mg trimethoprim orally

Fingers crossed it's zapped the acne for now!

LittleOyster · 15/10/2016 12:05

AM & PM
Double hot cloth cleanse with coconut oil
Rosehip oil
If I can be bothered, castor oil on fine lines around eyes

AM
La Roche Posay SPF 50

I am very, very lazy but I'd like to build in a daily vitamin c product, plus Retin A. Also a regular glycolic mask - have tried the REN one and liked it.

hollinhurst84 · 15/10/2016 12:50

botemp - I have the biore watery one but on an average day I'm inside so I didn't list it! If I'm outside I wear it
