Not sure how long ago I started one of these threads but feel it's time for another Grin so come on everyone tell me what your using and what's your skin type Smile

OP posts:
IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 13/11/2016 15:06

37yo - usually combination skin prone to dry patches and hormonal break outs.

AM
No face wash, just a rinse with water in the shower
Nivea light moisturising day cream with SPF15
Nivea BB cream.

PM
Nivea 2in1 cleanser and toner
No7 night cream

Once/twice a week
Botanics face scrub
No7 beautiful skin hydration mask

I'm pregnant at the moment, and have recently switched to the Nivea products - my skin has never felt and looked better. Not sure if it's the hormones or Nivea!

MumboNumber5 · 13/11/2016 16:26

AM
balance me cleanser
hylauronic or salicylic acid
vichy rehydrating toner
REN eye cream
Olay 7 effects moisturiser

PM

Wellhellothere1 · 13/11/2016 17:05

AM no 7 cleanser wash off with flannel
Nip and Fab glycolic pads
The ordinary vit C-bit grainy and stingy. Not sure if I would repurchase
Loreal rebalancing oil. Tiny bit.
Biore watery essence spf 50

PM loreal oil cleanse with flannel. Love this
No 7 cleanser-wash off with flannel again.
Nip and fab dragon's blood pads with salicylic acid
Hado labo premium hyaluronic acid serum
Loreal rebalancing oil again
Retin A 0.05%
Cerave moisturiser

This looks a lot but only takes a few minutes. It's very therapeutic at night and my skin has never looked better.

Sillybillybonker · 13/11/2016 19:18

I was my face with vegetable oil soap or shower gel and then I put on the moisturiser.

wheezles · 13/11/2016 19:18

I am very lazy but this works for me and I have fairly problem free skin these days..

Remove make up at night with: Clinique Take The Day Off Balm

Moisturiser morning and night: La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

Hormonal spots: splot a blob of La Roche Posay AI on them.

wheezles · 13/11/2016 19:19

...and I'm 30 btw.

Sillybillybonker · 13/11/2016 19:19

Oh and I use one of those ball of net things to wash my face with.

AbernathysFringe · 13/11/2016 19:31

Had adult acne forever, the pill stops it, but now I'm not on it, this keeps it at bay:
Clearasil gel fash wash Ultra Rapid
Boots Dermacare moisturiser

So glam!

In the evening I use micellar face wipes which have had an amazing effect.

ChestnutsRoasting · 13/11/2016 19:34

Oliyish but clear skin, about to hit the big 40, a few wrinkles around eyes. Pregnant so naturally quite glowy but that's all about to change with the sleepless nights!

AM
Khiels Ultra face wash (forget the correct name) or rosehip oil removed with warm cloth

Caudalie Grape Water on a cotton pad to get rid of any remaining oil

Paula's Choice 2% BHA

The Ordinary Buffet Serum

Cerave PM moisturiser (really nice and light)

Paula's Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense (SPF 30) or LRP Effaclar BB Blur (SPF 20)

PM - not that different really

Cleanse with rosehip oil and warm cloth after removing eye make up

Caudalie Grape Water

Paula's Choice BHA

The Ordinary 2% Retinol

Sometimes Buffet

Cerave PM moisturiser

Approximateh0usewife · 13/11/2016 20:04

Developed adult acne at 37 and spent next 7 years trying everything and everything to control it. Found a miracle worker spin professional who works for herself from her home and she changed my life. monthly acid peels and products from dermaquest control the acne and now allow me to focus on anti ageing. For ageing and acne scaring I also have monthly dermapen treatments and use the micro roller at home.

Religious about skin care even when rollicking pissed mainly because I never want to lapse back to the acne

AM and PM double cleanse with Dermaquest salicytic cleanser
AM and PM Dermaquest dermaclear serum
AM eye cream by carita right now as I'm wearing it down
AM neck care with Lira pro c4 retinol
AM amore Pacific colour control spf 50
AM one pump oxygenetix acne control foundation

PM after double cleansing and serum -

PM Medik8 retinol eye tr followed by -
PM Dermaquest stem cell 3D eye lift
PM Lira pro c4 retinol
Once or twice a week (as it does break me out if used more than one night consecutively) Dermaquest nourishing Peptide Rich

One thing I've done recently is to use a NoNo to remove facial fuzz and I'm finding that the skin care is working more effectively.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 13/11/2016 20:31

Chestnut = the Cerave pm lotion is so good isn't it, packed full of goodies and a great price too.

ChestnutsRoasting · 13/11/2016 20:37

I love it, Lumpy, such a bargain and so good. I'm also using their tub moisturiser and stretch mark cream - both fabulous.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 13/11/2016 20:49

I use their cleanser, low ph value and cheap as chips. I layer the cream under a thicker cream and it sinks in beautifully every time. The ingredient list is wonderful, niacinamide and ceramides, lush!

CoolCarrie · 13/11/2016 22:15

Dermalogica cleanser in the shower, followed by Oil of Ulay or Nivea lotion, then sunscreen in the mornings.
At night, Astral all over, face and body. If its good enough for Joanna Lumley then it's good enough for me. Huge pot last for ages. hand cream though out the day
Weekly: face mask, eye mask, foot mask, hand mask and deep condition hair at the same time.
Silk or satin pillowcases definitely worth the money, my hair is shiner and don't wake up with sleep lines on my face.

ChestnutsRoasting · 13/11/2016 22:40

Lumpy I'm having a very enjoyable lurk on the skincare ingredients thread. Quite a bit of love for Cerave over there. Worth a read Smile

Bimbop5 · 14/11/2016 02:55

I'm 41 but look much younger. At least people are always shocked when they find out my age.
Morning: Aveeno eczema moisturizing face wash. L'Oréal 25 spf moisturizer. Mizon snail serum eye gel.

Night: was with same Aveeno face was. Use same eye gel. And la Roche posay lipiker balm moisturizer.

user1469928875 · 14/11/2016 04:32

People who use retin a or tretinoin where / which brands please? Flowers

Pixi glow tonic / dennis gross peel pads / clinique clarifying lotion 1
Rosehip oil (pai) or mv organics jojoba
Pai sensitive eye crem

Facemasks once a week:

Oh and I confess I love the biore blackhead strip things - nothing else works as well for me

LumpySpacedPrincess · 14/11/2016 06:44

user - have a look at The Ordinary 2% retinal, cheap and effective.

SillyMoomin · 14/11/2016 07:10

God I am clearly not using enough stuff! Shock

(38)

Am: dove soap to wash, Clinique number 2 to tone, olay daily fluid to moisturise

Pm: repeat. Try and remember to use a few drops of rosehip oil before bed

Should I be using more stuff?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 14/11/2016 07:22

Silly - the most important thing to use is sunscreen, every day.

Other ingredients that are effective are acid exfoliaters, Retinal, Vitamin C.

I love skincare so I use lots of stuff, it's kinda a hobby which has a visible benefit. Only use more stuff if you get pleasure from it or want that visible benefit. Smile

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 14/11/2016 07:38

AM

Nude cleansing cream
The Ordinary Niamicide, Hyaluronic and The Buffet serums.
La Mer Soft moisturising cream.

PM
Neal's Yard rose beauty balm
The Ordinary Retinol serum and Vitamin C cream.
La Mer Soft cream.

Before I get into bed I apply Clarins Blue Orchid face oil.

I'm 48.

blitheringbuzzards1234 · 14/11/2016 08:26

I'm 61, so knocking on a bit but not bad for age.
Cleanse twice with Nivea 2-in-1 cleanser/toner morning and evening.
Fairly often apply Oil of Olay to face, in summer often use a sunscreen cream with some sort of SPF factor - but I've never really sunbathed as it bores me to tears. Apply this also to throat area as this is the first to suffer.

I only go out in the garden to actually do the gardening and I'm sure this helps with skincare, I'd be much wrinklier otherwise.

JemimaMuddledUp · 14/11/2016 08:29

Superdrug Radiance Hot Cloth Cleanser
Superdrug Radiance Day/Night Cream as appropriate.

If I'm wearing much make up I will use Superdrug Vitamin E Miscellar Water first to remove it.

If it is very dry I will also use Superdrug Radiance Serum.

But the biggest difference to my skin comes from drinking plenty of water and eating avocados.

Pistachiois50pmore · 14/11/2016 08:44

35, normal to dry skin

Morning:
Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm
One of my 900000 samples of serums if I have time
Kiehls Ultra Facial moisturiser
Eysilix or La Roche Posay eye cream (if I remember)

Evening
Emma Hardie again
An oil - Sunday Riley Juno or Ren Rose 012 oil or Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate (I think I like the Ren best)
Clarins multi-active nuit (or just the Kiehls Ultra if I've run out)

(if exhausted just La Roche Posay micellar water and any moisturiser)

When needed...
Alpha H Liquid Gold (a couple of times a week)
Ren Glycolic Skin Renewal mask (once a month?)
Avene moisturising mask (once a week?)

If I run out of Emma Hardie I just use coconut oil to cleanse - also works fine

Pupsiecola · 14/11/2016 11:17

Age 47 with sensitive skin and early, well managed Rosacea. Have cleansed, toned and moisturised for 30 years. Don't think I've ever missed a day/night. Started with Sainsbury's own for about a quid back in the 80s. About ten years with Clarins. Dabbled with Dermalogica, Clinique, Liz Earle, Body Shop. The recent "skincare ingredients" thread has been a real education (especially in moving me away from "all products should be from the same range" mentality). A month ago I'd have scoffed at this seemingly complex routine but I started the other thread to really get to the bottom of active ingredients/using worthwhile stuff. My skin has never looked calmer/brighter/clearer.

AM
LRP Toleriane cleanser/warm flannel
The Ordinary Vit C
LRP Toleriane Ultra or LRP Redermic C (alternate days)
SPF - Neostrata Factor 50 tinted, Eucerin or LRP

PM (usually 7ish)
Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm/warm flannel
LRP Toleriane (if second cleansing)
AHA or BHA (Paula's Choice, alternate evenings)
Indeed Hydraluron
Paula's Choice Niacinimide Booster drops added to...
LRP Toleriane Overnight or Eucerin or Neostrata Bio-Hydrating Cream

Before bed (alternate nights):-
Darphin Intral Serum (am in love with this) or
Neal's Yard Argan Oil or
Pai Age Confidence Oil

Once a week each:-
Origins Charcoal Mask
Cattier Pink Clay Mask For Sensitive Skin

Daily - 3+ litres of water Smile
