Sorry thick not think!

LellyMcKelly · 15/11/2016 01:37

Wilco sensitive cleanser in the shower morning and evening, then a big dollop of Astral. Nothing moisturises my face better, and I spent my 20s and 30s in Boots buying Clinique and Clarins.

KeyserSophie · 15/11/2016 04:00

Morning

  • Wash face with shower gel in shower
  • Apply Kiehls ultra-facial cream

Night

  • baby wipe face
  • Apply Kiehls ultra-facial cream

Skin is dryish but I live in a humid country so that stops it getting dry patches. Don't get spots. Some wrinkles but love love love being in the sun so I've accepted my fate on that. Thought about botox but CBA.

isthistoonosy · 15/11/2016 05:31

Wow, that's a lot of time and money spent making your faces clean, each to their own though I suppose.

I wash my face in the shower, (no soap) and that's me done.

I have quite oily skin, had lots of spots as a young teen and started this as a late teen and things cleared up so I've never changed what I do. I'm late 30's people have always assumed I'm 5 to 10 yrs younger, but that tends to be weight dependent rather than to do with my face as I've no wrinkles or grey hairs, yet.

BestIsWest · 15/11/2016 06:09

AM wash with warm water and a gentle soap -currently L'Occitane Rosemary soap.
Slather on Neal's yard Frankincense Nourishing cream.

Evenings, same but the oil instead.

Have got good clear skin though a bit wrinkly now but I am early 50s.

TWOBANANAS · 15/11/2016 07:43

Nivea in the blue pot to take make up off and also to moisturise with first thing in the morning.

RingOfFire79 · 15/11/2016 08:41

This is a great thread (am fascinated by other people's beauty routines - especially other people's make-up bags...!)

I have oily skin with acne scarring but v. few spots.

AM: Wash with Lush Herbalism, apply hydraluron serum then Estee Lauder Daywear (SPF25) plus Shiseido SPF 25 eye cream. If it's summer then I move to Cane & Austin's SPF 50 instead of moisturiser.

PM: Wash with Herbalism, apply Estee Lauder Night Repair serum, then Clinique moisturiser.

For the odd spot I use a witch hazel and tea tree wand from Boots. I also take cod liver oil daily for my skin.

PatCashless · 15/11/2016 08:50

I'm a clarins addict. In the morning I wash my face in the shower with one of their divine cleansers ( I have about 5 different ones) then I use hydra quench moisturiser. In the summer I use their f30 cream. I don't usually wear make up so at night I don't do anything, but if I've worn make up I use their peach cleanser and a free sample of night cream Smile anything by Clarins is my little bit of joy and happiness every day!

Pupsiecola · 15/11/2016 10:03

There's a lot of talk about genes. I'd be curious to know about skin tone/colour. IME fairer skin like mine doesn't age so well regardless, to a degree, of lifestyle factors. We are more prone to (visible) sun damage, sensitivies, barrier issues and lines etc are more prominent? There is no way I could wash and gone my face. My skin feels incredibly tight without some products.

ElodieS · 15/11/2016 11:32

Feeling filthy now - I have 'normal' skin, possibly a bit on the greasy side and wash my face with clearsil in the shower (so once a day, usually in the evening but not always) and put and oil-free moisturiser on afterwards. That's it. I don't really wear make-up, but on the occassion I do, I remove it before bed with the same face wash.

CoughingForWeeks · 15/11/2016 11:42

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to skincare - face gets washed in the shower or a quick once-over with Simple wipes if I'm rushing. Sleep in my makeup about once a week. Moisturise daily with whatever moisturiser is on offer.

I'm 42, barely a line on my face but occasional dry patches on my cheeks, depending on the weather.

Best thing I've ever done for my skin is stay out of the sun and never smoke tbh :)

SquirrelPaws · 15/11/2016 12:11

Night if I'm wearing make up:

Nivea eye make up remover, the one you shake up
Wash face with poncey artisan soap
Micellar water
Pixi glow tonic
Eye cream
Moisturiser and serum mixed up

If no make up, skip the first two steps

Morning:
Wash face with wet flannel in the shower
Moisturiser

I'm 36 and have pretty unremarkable skin, just the occasional spot when I'm due on. It's much improved since I've been doing the evening routine, which I've managed to sustain since January.

Binkysays · 15/11/2016 13:50

I'm about to try The Ordianry Vit C, but can't really recommend it yet cos still untried. I don't use night serum since I started using RetinA, but prior to that used pure Rosehip seed oil which is rich in natural Vitamin A, and loved it.

Binkysays · 15/11/2016 13:51

Ordinary not ordianry!

dinorawr · 15/11/2016 13:56

Just make up wipes Blush. Can anyone recommend any to start using now? Did hear it's best to start using anti ageing products early? I'm 21.

sammy891 · 15/11/2016 23:45

Still working on adding to the routine so I am enjoying this discussion and getting ideas. My skin is combination oily and gets dehydrated in the winter.

Morning

  • Lush ultrabland or clinique extra mild soap (washed off with a warm flannel)
  • Bravura aha toner or Clinique mild bha toner (discontinued now so need to find a replacementConfused )
  • LRP duo
  • Clinique superdefense with spf

Evening

  • Clinique balm cleanser
  • Second cleanse with Bravura mud cleanser or LRP cleanser or Lush Ultrabland
  • LRP redermic R or Paula's choice retinol

Extras

  • Clinique Moisture Surge mask if skin is dehydrated
  • Clinique Clay Mask if skin is extra oily
Pupsiecola · 15/11/2016 23:47

Sammy my LRP Redermic has built in SPF so I use it in the morning rather than the evening. Do they do a non SPF one?

sammy891 · 17/11/2016 07:42

Pups I use this one at night. No spf in it. Looks like the packaging is now in a white tube and they have an spf version. I have an older tube from last year. I read that retinol is better used at night because its reactive to the sun and breaks down.
