The Hush ruched skirt.....

Is really quite awesome isn't it?

I've heard mention of it on here a few times, so picked up a striped one for a song in the sale. It's the most comfortable, flattering thing, and I wish I knew about it at the start of summer, not the end.

I've just bought a black one, for winter.

Random, pointless post really Smile

Judy I agree definitely jersey and knitwear for me too. I think that was part of the problem with the Drew dress that the fabric didn't fall nicely as it was stiff.

rightknockered · 08/10/2016 14:56

Has anyone bought the tall taupe boots?
I have some from last year, but now can't decide what to wear them with apart from all black. This year I quite like burgundy, but not sure if black tights, burgundy dress and taupe boots might be a bit too much...

rightknockered · 08/10/2016 14:57

I love them, find them easy to walk in and really want to get some wear out of them.

needastrongone · 08/10/2016 15:26

Glad it's not just me then, you lot have a good haul too. Smile

I fully agree about the creasing, it's awful on some garments and really detracts from trying on the item.

My animal print dress came today. I agree about the pattern being fab. Actually, the fit was good for me, I got a 6, and didn't find the sleeves too tight, which seems to have been an issue. The colours suits. It was dreadfully creased. The dress wasn't lined either, but I guess for £55/65 (can't remember) not sure I would expect it to be. Sadly, being 5ft, it was just a little too long. I will review the creasing online. It's going back.

I'll report back on the other stuff when it comes.

I ordered the ruched skirt but they didn't have black - my first choice - in a medium at the time so I ordered it in burgundy, and I also ordered the black crossover skirt. I can't decide which to keep! I liked the crossover one more than I thought I would. They are so flattering.

I also ordered the wrap shirt in black to wear with the burgundy skirt for work, but I didn't like the fabric. It made my hair really static so that's going back. Has anyone found something similar elsewhere? I liked the shape - long at the back to hide my bum!

Where have others got a nice chunky jumper to wear over the top from elsewhere that isn't as expensive as Hush? I love their stuff but can't afford to get my whole wardrobe there.

I also got the Tara dress in burgundy. I have the black one from last year and it's the most flattering dress I've ever owned. If anyone has ordered new boots or new jumpers from somewhere other than Hush to go with their ruched skirts, please share!

neveradullmoment99 · 08/10/2016 17:20

I have also been looking to buy a black jumper that is nice and baggy to go over the ruched skirt to give the look of the dress. I don't want to pay hush prices. I was almost tempted just to buy an mans black jumper today in black [ a v-neck] in a large size to wear over it and a fraction of the price.

Talisin · 08/10/2016 17:29

This M&S jumper works well with the ruched skirt i've found. Size down though - they aren't kidding about it being oversized.

Thisismynewname123 · 08/10/2016 17:39

Thanks. Good & cheap. I'll try it

I have this, in all three colours, as it goes with skinnies, the harems, the ruched skirt and pretty much anything, dressed up or down. Washes like a dream.

Not black I realise, but very 'Hush' colours.

Talisin, I have that jumper in grey and black, I can't make my mind up about it though. I didn't size down as I found the sleeves too short if I did that.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/10/2016 17:53

Love the french connection one. Its a bit pricey for me atm. I may save my pennies... Thank you :)

Gah! This thread makes me want to buy everything in the Hush website. I've really only discovered Hush this year. Almost everything I've tried to order is out of stock eg Tara top and sloppy Joe top in olive. Do they restock add the season progresses our have I missed the boat?

Nearlyadoctor · 09/10/2016 09:44

Well welcome to the party come in and have a Brew. I think we're all fairly new to Hush reading some of the posts. I bought a one dress last winter ( Rosie Dress) and a necklace and it just seems to have spiralled from there.
With regards to restocking I'm honestly not sure but I'm sure someone else may know? I know someone posted recently that it's worth ringing them because sometimes returns aren't relished on the website!

Wellhellothere1 · 09/10/2016 11:03

I'll do that nearly, thanks and I'll post again if I manage to find out about restocking.

needastrongone · 12/10/2016 16:44

Back again to report!

Terribly creasing again, I'm actually going to phone and have a little moan.

The wrap shirt in green is absolutely lovely. I am over the moon. Such a deep green. It will go with all the Hush autumn purchases I have made so far. It needs a vest underneath though. It's also slightly longer at the back, which is great for covering any areas that you might feel best covered. Smile

The Francesca animal print skirt would look good on a taller person. It's lined and zipped, with a hook, so well made. It would need ironing to get a true picture but I'm not tall enough for this one. Which is my issue, not the skirt. Lovely for a meal or even in the office. Versatile. It's only going back because it's not me.

The Isla mini skirt in blue is cheap and creased and doesn't sit well sadly. Going straight back.

That green wrap shirt is really lovely, but it's 55 quid for 100% polyester...

needastrongone · 12/10/2016 17:35

I can live with that, others might notSmile

I have just ordered the Tara dress in Burgundy, I wanted it in the forest green but dithered about and it sold out in M - I have it in Black from last year and just got round to wearing it again.

Does anyone know if they restock - or will that be it until the SS range comes in?

Chocolateteabag · 12/10/2016 18:08

Ignore me - I have sent them a message to ask directly!

Talisin · 12/10/2016 19:55

I'm 5"8 and have the Francesca skirt (in original ditsy print) and can confirm it's lovely.

Chocolate if they don't restock, check back on the website every morning and late afternoon and you'll almost certainly get it (voice of experience in Medium returns)

neveradullmoment99 · 12/10/2016 19:59

Is the franscesca skirt true to size?

Talisin · 12/10/2016 22:26

never it's on the larger size, especially round the waist.
