The Hush ruched skirt.....

Is really quite awesome isn't it?

I've heard mention of it on here a few times, so picked up a striped one for a song in the sale. It's the most comfortable, flattering thing, and I wish I knew about it at the start of summer, not the end.

I've just bought a black one, for winter.

Random, pointless post really Smile

I have twitched again and ordered some more harem pants, the burgundy skirt and the sloppy joe jumper, some of which I WILL send back. I WILL.......

I'm wearing my new Hush skirt today at work.

I'm a 12 and a definite pear shape and I think it's quite flattering (I have a loose-ish jumper on top). I'm 5'8" and don't think it's too short.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/09/2016 19:41

MrsBean So agree re the Whistles ones. I really love mine and wear them so much. Really want some more.

jelly10 · 23/09/2016 08:31

The Tara dress arrived yesterday, I think I love it but DH and DD say it's weird as its a dress trying to look like a skirt and top Confused Its not my usual style so reassure me - it is fab, isn't it?!

needastrongone · 23/09/2016 09:01

Jelly, I am wearing my Tara dress tonight to go out into town for an meal and cocktails. I am hankering for some Mint Velvet boots but resisting...

How do you feel in it? What was your gut reaction when you put it on?

I'm sending the sloppy joe jumper back as the one I have from French Connection just works better, keeping the skirt and harem pants.

Jelly I have a summer and winter one and just ordered the burgundy - so fair to say I think it's fab! Also just ordered the harem trousers, not sure can afford both though, so the harems will have to pretty special to trump the Tara dress.

Judydreamsofhorses · 23/09/2016 09:56

I ordered one of the "essential crew neck" jumpers in black, to go with the wine skirt and it arrived yesterday. I sized down to small (I'm a 10/12) as I had a hunch it might be quite oversized, and it is just perfect. There's a definite hint of autumn in the air here this morning.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/09/2016 10:01

I love their essential crews
I got a bargain in the sale last year of a creamy beige colour. Beautifully soft and comfy. I have my eye on the blush one.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/09/2016 10:02

I bought the Harley jeans. Gorgeous! True to size.

needastrongone · 23/09/2016 15:14

More stuff to consider, aaarrrgghhh!

Thank you Neada and Nearly, it's staying! It's a bit big on top but I love it, so flattering and comfy. I've got some new ankle boots from clarks that it will look great with, and I tried it on with sparkly tights which will be great for Christmas! I keep reading about glittery trainers on these threads and I'm liking that idea... Smile

needastrongone · 05/10/2016 18:38

There's new stuff out. Oh dear.

I've ordered the Annabelle dress in red and the Evangeline dress too, more likely to keep the former, but wanted free delivery.

Judydreamsofhorses · 05/10/2016 21:14

I ordered this blouse:

www.hush-uk.com/new_in_1/rita_printed_shirt_burgundy_animal_print.htm#product-reviews

Love a bit of animal print, but as ever, unsure about sizing. I probably should have ordered a 10 and a 12.

needastrongone · 05/10/2016 21:50

Same pattern as the dress I've ordered Smile. Looks gorgeous doesn't it? I can't wait to see in RL. I have my eye on the wrap shirt in green or orange too.

Will report back...

neveradullmoment99 · 06/10/2016 11:50

I love the look of the animal print. Please report back :)

Nearlyadoctor · 07/10/2016 09:46

Sloppy Joe sweatshirt arrived yesterday, took it out and nearly didn't bother to try as thought it looked too boxy and uninteresting. Put it on - different story love it very flattering shape, wearing today ( which I never do always seem to keep new clothes for a whole until I wear them ). Now coveting the charcoal and blush pink ones!

needastrongone · 07/10/2016 18:01

Nearly Those were EXACTLY my thoughts! It transforms when on doesn't it?

I've had a bit of a Hushfest in the last couple of days, I'll report back...

OP posts:
Nearlyadoctor · 07/10/2016 18:23

Need what else have you ordered? And what have you already ordered and kept this season?

Just being nosy as have also had rather a Hush fest this Autumn !

needastrongone · 08/10/2016 08:50

Well here goes Nearly....

I've ordered (hopefully arriving today) the Evangeline dress and the Annabelle dress in the red animal print. I am not convinced I will keep the former, but reserve judgement until I have tried it on. I would need to love it and know it would get the use to justify keeping.

I've also ordered (after wine..) the wrap shirt in green. I have loved the look of this but was going to hold off until the sale, however low stock produced a panic reaction.. The Francesca skirt in animal print and the Isla mini skirt. I don't need both animal prints so one will go back.

I got a purple star jumper and striped ruched skirt for a song in the sale, which has been my first foray into Hush clothing.

In addition, harem pants, 2 ruched skirts (which I have worn constantly), the star long sleeve Tee, the Tara dress in green and the sloppy joe.

Written down, that's a lot of stuff....but it works for me style and fit wise and, as our office is quite relaxed, I can move from office to home life without a change of clothes.

I don't feel quite so bad now need! Grin
This Autumn I have bought the Tara in forest green and the Tina dress in charcoal. Tried the Drew in the animal print but was an odd shape and felt the fabric was a bit cheap looking.
Also Harems in charcoal, 2 x Stella jumper, sloppy Joe in olive although seriously considering the other colours.
Zig zag scarf to with the charcoal / brown sugar Stella jumper.
Star pendant necklace which is a really good weight/ quality pendant. I bought a pine cone one last winter and wore it so much and it hasn't discoloured despite not being expensive jewellery .

I love the fact their clothes are easy to wear and no one else down here ( Devon) seems to wear them.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/10/2016 13:02

Well my azalea dress arrived yesterday. Its different feel material to the original Evangeline. Its a viscose crepe which i would say is more 'see through' and slightly more delicate. At first when i put it on it looked fine in the body but a bit wide and didn't sit as nice as the evangeline. The material is slightly less fluid but sort of 'crispy' although once ironed will look better. It came quite creased even though beautifully packaged. I think Hush need to look at their garments and iron them. Reading reviews this hasnt been rectified despite their promises. It didnt help when i tried it on. After a few minutes and once i tried on black tights i was sold on it. Its very wearable and pretty. Looked great with thick black tights and my fly london wedges. I think i am going to try not to order any more atm. Bought quite a lot and think i may hang out for the sales now. They have excellent sale prices.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/10/2016 13:11

My Autumn spends from hush have been:

Annabelle dress
Alzalea dress
Evangeline dress floral print.
Eva dress which i love.
Black ruched skirt
Skinny star scarf
Wrap shirt in peach blush
Allesia shirt [ mini star print ecru and black] got complimented on this blouse. It is gorgeous.
Cluse mesh strap watch in black.

Quite a lot really but apart from the wrap shirt and my new dress, i have worn and enjoyed wearing everything.

Judydreamsofhorses · 08/10/2016 13:14

My animal print blouse came today. I absolutely love the print, but the fabric is no better than similar things I have from Topshop or Zara, far cheaper. I'm going to keep it because of the print, but I suspect Hush do knitwear and jersey best for me.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/10/2016 13:20

The fabric can be a bit of a let down, i agree. Even sometimes the black in their jersey things look a bit washed out. I was a bit worried about the Eva dress being like that but actually it wasn't too bad and love the style of it although think it may fade a bit when washed :(
