how old were you when you really started noticing grey hairs

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks some silvery hairs in my hair. I was a bit taken aback to begin with (was a wake up call about my own mortality!) then reconsidered that I had done well to get to 34 without any signs of noticeable grey.

Just wondered about when you first spotted grey hairs? My hair is mousey brown.

Dark brown hair. Have 3 recurring bright white hairs. 26 now, 23 when I noticed the first one (the morning of my wedding!)

21....I'm 29 now and have quite a few. I dye it to hide it. I'm a kind of darkish brown.

I'm now 34 and would be completely grey if not for L'Oreal.

I've got mid to dark brown hair and I got my first grey at 21. I'm mid 30s and have quite a few now, hence the username.

I started really noticing them at around 29, mid 30's now and it is very noticeable in places. I did dye my hair, but haven't for ages - cant be arsed, it doesnt last long, and i worry about the chemicals.

Light brown hair. Mid 20s. Doesn't bother me. Am 34 now and fairly grey.

Very dark brown, 46.

Also 3 grey hairs on my wedding day.

Now 45 and got a few spread evenly through my hair. I've grown hair out of vanity.

I may be fat, frumpy with terrible skin - but, I have thick, shiny, dark brown hair that's half way down my back and I delight in saying "yes, I don't go to the hairdresser's much, maybe if I was dyeing it then I'd be there more often"

I have very dark hair and the first greys appeared when I was still in my teens. They've been arriving a lot faster now I'm in my 40s.

I'm 29 and have just started noticing some in the last few months. I have mid Brown hair. I don't have enough to bother doing anything about it though.

My sister was totally grey by 25!

Dark brown hair, first noticed grey in mid 20's, now 33 and have loads, DH calls them my arctic highlights - can't be bothered with the upkeep of dye so am embracing them ... for now anyway

Dark brown. Around aged 20.

Was 30 when I noticed it, now 41 and have loads of silver. Not bothered tho. Stop dying it years ago. Quite like them actually. And I am mousey where it's not silver. They seem to be stronger thicker hairs too. My mousey stuff is like baby hair.

My mum was the same. I'm 31 now and the front half of my hair is probably 70% grey with a decent speckling through the back of my hair.

I have a few around my hair line... they stand out a mile and seem to be resistant to dye. Started in my early 20s.

Now late 20s and they are coming in a lot more now. I have dark brown hair. I always said when it gets more noticeable I would go ginger. I've always wanted to be a red head!

Think I will do it before the end of the year.

Though I plucked out my first grey eyebrow hair last week. Which was quite the feat as I had to take my glasses off and my eye sight is shit.

I found the first one two years ago.

Now I could probably pick out about 15 regularly along my roots. I'm 30.

I'm 37. I've had the odd one or two over the years. I recently I parted my hair in a different place and found about two or three in quick succession, which was a bit of a surprise, but I don't think I have any noticeable grey hairs now (I plucked out the ones I found!)

36 - mid/dark brown

35 and they're rapidly appearing now. Its not very fair though as my dm is 65 and has none, neither do my older sisters .
