how old were you when you really started noticing grey hairs

And what is your natural hair colour?

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks some silvery hairs in my hair. I was a bit taken aback to begin with (was a wake up call about my own mortality!) then reconsidered that I had done well to get to 34 without any signs of noticeable grey.

Just wondered about when you first spotted grey hairs? My hair is mousey brown.

Mid-brown hair. First noticed grey in early thirties and had extensive chunks of it by a few years later. Almost completely grey by mid 40s. (My terribly posh godmother then commented that it looked rather odd as my face was still really quite young looking, so I have since had it coloured once a month and now love it being its 'old' colour.)

Natural = light-medium brown.
First spotted greys: 19
Quite noticeable... early 40s?
I don't dye it. Shudder at the idea of dying it.

I’m 40 next week and have not seen any. I have plenty of “fine lines” to show my age though

Mid 40s

I have bog standard brown hair

I have a few just above my ears and in hair line.

Most of my friends dye their hair, they just assume I dye mine too

Am allergic to dye though, so once I get more grey I'll be cross!

Mid thirties. Now becoming a problem in my mid forties.

Medium brown hair, but I now have highlights which blend the greys reasonably well
