I apologise for posting a link to a bitchy DM article, but it's a slow work day. And they must be freezing!

Doesn't the Fail run this same story every year?

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 19:49

Probably. They have very little in the way of imagination or original ideas.

MaybeDoctor · 07/04/2016 19:50

I find it horrifying that I could be in a public place, the wind blows my skirt up and a newspaper would print a picture of my underwear.

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 19:54

The DM will always insult women full stop. But they're not actually responsible for women choosing to go out looking like scrag ends.

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 19:59

They dont look like scrag ends. They look like women in a variety of clothing. You mightnt think it looks good but that's opinion not fact.

Greengardenpixie · 07/04/2016 20:02

ShockShock OMG

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 20:02

Of course it's my opinion. They don't look like scrag ends to you.

I don't like it, I think it's a shame, and I don't think it's necessary.

Snoopydo · 07/04/2016 20:03

The comments about women from posters on here are far more insulting than the daily mail's. Honestly women just cannot win. Why can't women dress up and go out and enjoy themselves? Disgusting attitudes.

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 20:04

Its a shame some women dont adhere to your idea of good clothing choices? Shock whose shame? Their shame?

Whats not necessary is the article.

Greengardenpixie · 07/04/2016 20:10

Its up to the women what they wear. Not all of them look bad but it seems to me that the press are publishing those photos and its almost like its done as a freak show. In the vain of ' look at the state of these women' I think its insulting to the women.

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 20:11

Why can't women dress with with taste, style, class and some self-respect?

I went to exhibition of WWII fashion recently - a time when women had very little spare money or spare material. I was blown away how great they all looked - elegant dresses, hats, smart coats, lovely hairstyles, pretty shoes. You couldn't tell what background anyone was from because everyone dressed really well.

Wtf has happened?

Greengardenpixie · 07/04/2016 20:15

I mean why publish this:

One woman took an embarrassing tumble as her friends rushed to help her up while she clutched the side of a wheelie bin to break her fall

Why publish pics of ladies pants?

Its pure trash.

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 20:17

Why can't women dress with with taste, style, class and some self-respect?

They do, according to their own standards- which is exactly how they should be dressing- according to how the like.

Your idea of taste, style, class and self respect will be different to others' ideas. Many may look at you and think you have appalling taste and no self respect.

Greengardenpixie · 07/04/2016 20:18

I mean ffs...scroll down and more pants on show:

A woman suffered an embarrassing moment when a gust of wind blew up her skirt, revealing her underwear

Really truly awful. Not the woman but the press publishing a photo of this.

Greydog · 07/04/2016 20:22

I have the great misfortune to live not a million miles from this shithole - sorry racecourse - and the local "beauty shops" have been advertising "get your makeuo done here" - I did wonder why you'd pay good money to look like your work in a Tango ad, and dress like an out of work hooker. And then there are the men - in their only suits, all being jack the lad, falling down drunk. Wonder how many of them cared about the animals that died there today

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 20:23

I don't buy that for a minute, but taking it at face value, how did standards get so fucking low? It's not only women, it's the same for men. At some point in the last 50 years, people have forgotten how to dress.

Not everyone will like what I wear, I don't expect them to, but no-one could ever accuse me of dressing without self-respect.

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 20:25

I don't buy that for a minute

You dont buy what?

Dolly2404 · 07/04/2016 20:26

Oh lovely, although I do love the first woman's louboutins!

Awks · 07/04/2016 20:27

I bet the DM have done this story for years. And I bet Mumsnet have commented nastily on it for years. But thank god none of the ragegoers give a shite and are just having a laugh, with their mates.

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 20:32

That any of the worst offenders really believe they're dressing tastefully. They're just out to show off their cacks and get hammered.

Snoopydo · 07/04/2016 20:33

Good luck to them. I'm sure they had a great time.

Philoslothy · 07/04/2016 20:34

I don't like it, I think it's a shame, and I don't think it's necessary.

Of course it's not necessary but it is great fun.

RudeElf · 07/04/2016 20:35

"Worst offenders" Grin

You really do believe your opinion on clothes is some sort of law dont you.

lemonade30 · 07/04/2016 20:47

My God! Some of you are dickheads.

Your attitudes are far more embarrassing than anything worn by the women at Aintree.

Twinklestein · 07/04/2016 20:47

Sure I do. Hmm Although, I'm hardly alone in thinking it's unnecessary to look like a dog's bottom.

At some point you're going to have to accept I have a different opinion to you.
