I've always stayed off square heeled shoes, point proven by this thread.

And ski pants

They are Ming-tasticly awful.

Grim as feck.

The ONLY way they would possibly work would be if you dressed as a 1920's frump going to church.

😬

I have a confession to make - I wore these back in the 80's and thought I was the bees knees. With hindsight I have to say they were a bad look then and the passage of time has not made them any more stylish!
I also have to confess that I wore (and loved) ski pants - looking stylish has never been one of my strengths

If you are going to buy them you may as well go the whole hog and get yourself to Ecco.
My mother loved an ecco shoe with her purple boot cuts, polka dot blouse and cauliflower perm.

I know these shoes are the height of fashion at the moment but honestly I think of the Queen when I see them (sorry your majesty) Never gonna buy them, ever.

All the mummy bloggers desperarately looking for a new look to validate their shopping obsession?

When I've given up love, life and the faintest hope of ever getting laid, I'll buy these shoes.

I have a Chanel pair that aren't wildly dissimilar to this. They are SO comfy.

My Skechers Go Walk are incredibly comfy. It doesn't mean they look great though!

Grin are you sure whatthefox?

Which bloggers Crevice? As it would appear the women of MN are giving these a resounding 'no', and most would be mothers.

Has anyone seen them irl? I haven't ordered yet but the itch is ever present.

I like them.

I have go walks too and they have honestly revolutionised my feet.

I can't see the problem with them. They'd be good for work, they look quite smart and will be far more comfy than most stilettos. The round toes are great for wide feet/avoiding corns & bunions. I'm sure there must be a huge market out there for smart comfy shoes that are not stilettos, loafers or ballet flats. Maybe that is the market they're aimed at? I already have a few pairs and love them!

I'm kind of sad M&S don't have a good contender as this trend is decidedly their bread and butter. This the only one I could find on their site.

Instead, they have gone all Aquazzurra now - look what they did to the lace-up shoe:
