I'm in the BL reading my students' reading list Blush.

AND I've heard from NU, who's been v busy and also has been trying to use the app! She sends love to all. Phew.

My mum has a scan today. I'm trying not to think about it...perhaps a small lunch in the nice BL caff, and then back to the next book. Ahem.

MontserratCaballe · 20/09/2015 08:18

How was the scan, MI? Hope you had reassuring news. Thanks for letting us know about NU. Glad to hear she is OK and hope she is able to come back to chat soon.

Rose, I hope your reading goes really well tonight. I will be thinking of you.

Hatty, has headache gone?

In an unusual turn of events, DH is taking the kids off to Brock Park to see his brother, who is down from Muswell Hill for a BMX event. DH suggested I might like to go into town for a bit, so I am off on the number 3 up to Regent Street to look at watches and check out Uniqlo's latest offerings. Will report back.

motherinferior · 20/09/2015 09:15

Will not hear about scan till formal meeting and I'm not sure when that is...

bigTillyMint · 20/09/2015 09:34

Is that with some birthday money Monty? Wink

Glad to hear NU is OK.

Hope all goes well today Rose - Don't PanicGrin

I am up norf and it is, again and unbelievably, lively weather! Had a sunny bike ride and drink with my friend in the sun yesterday, now off to watch her twins play footy/go for coffee/pop into JL

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/09/2015 09:51

Oh Monty, that's my bus! Maybe I'll see you on it later - DD2 wants to go to John Lewis.

BeachysFlipFlops · 20/09/2015 10:00

Bill - about Shakespeare's lost years by the Horrible Histories gang....

motherinferior · 20/09/2015 12:04

We're off to see Bill this afternoon.

Today I am mainly exhausted and sorry for myself. A six-day week is rather wearing. Also I am still at my heaviest despite two weeks of lots of exercise which I feel is Most Unfair. All in all I am weltering in self-pity.

And our house is revolting. Time to get a cleaner again, I think. We can't sustain the fact both DP and I are working more than a five-day week with more than the most cursory wipe-round and it's starting to get on my nerves...

bigTillyMint · 20/09/2015 12:07

MI getting a cleaner is money well - spent MI.

Rudy, sorry to hear your mum news but good that u had a fun time last night!

Rosebag · 20/09/2015 12:46

Thanks all…three lots of paracetamol and codeine and a sleepless night later I am busy, busy, busy… but coping. Its calm here at the moment as DH has taken the DC out for a bit.

So sorry about Rudy's DM…I do hope the results aren't too scary.

Yes MI Get A Cleaner, y'hear. Grin

Must dash…more later xx

Stropperella · 20/09/2015 13:15

Hope it goes well, Rose.

I spent all Friday afternoon and evening cleaning and then all day yesterday whizzing around the countryside on errands and doing jobs involving physical labour. I can't muster up the energy or enthusiasm for doing anything much this afternoon, as I have a stinking cold. Am hoping it's peaking today and I will feel better by tomorrow as I have an appointment with the head of (yet another) local school. And I start my voluntary work with the SpLD specialist in ds's school on Wed afternoon. There is a also a fair bit of stuff to do for my other work.

Ds is staring at Minecraft vids on YouTube and dd is fast asleep on the sofa. She was out all night at a party at a big house in the sticks and a bunch of them got a minibus taxi back this morning at 9.30am. Dh is being extremely annoying fiddling about on one of his irritating projects in the garage, which seem to get prioritised over everything else for weeks on end. He looked deeply miffed when I told him the mowing needed doing yesterday and I wasn't doing it as a) I was busy doing 4 gazillion other things (see above) and b) I felt a bit ill. Sometimes he really, really irritates me. And this is one of those times. It's as though he thinks he is the lodger. Hmm

I am going to treat myself to a nice hot lemon and paracetamol. Yum. (ick)

Collymollypuff · 20/09/2015 13:22

We will make everything lovely for you, Rose, by being the best audience evah. Smile Thanks

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/09/2015 13:56

Molly - how are you getting there? Addle and I are meeting at Brixton - maybe we could meet you somewhere en route, like Finsbury Park?

Lalsy · 20/09/2015 14:25

Rose, hope it goes swimmingly tonight.

And Hatty, well done and good luck.

Phew about NU [waves at NU].

Stropps and MI, hope you can both get some rest.

Stropperella · 20/09/2015 14:35

Gosh, yes, forgot to say well done on getting an interview, Hatty, and best of luck!

Cremo · 20/09/2015 15:36

Can recommend getting a cleaner, although not especially mine. It started well with this lady, but now I think she lifts her money, shifts ornaments around a bit, plumps a cushion , and she's off. Pathetic that I haven't sacked her, but I find these things so difficult.
MI I am a heifer at the moment. I am also filled with self loathing and keep looking sideways in the mirror to torment myself. It's idiotic, I realise.

Very good to know that NU is indeed fine.
Rudy , hope all ok with scan too.

Collymollypuff · 20/09/2015 15:45

oops sorry for late response to MrsS - no, ds was here, all chaos, am going on tube - will see ya there!

Collymollypuff · 20/09/2015 15:46

Gah even that may not be clear - no, I will go separately and meet you at Rose's!

bigTillyMint · 20/09/2015 16:42

Ooh, looking forward to hearing all about itSmile

Cremo just tell her you are being made redundant and can't afford her any more. Simples.
Then find a better one Wink

Here my friend dropped me at DMs (who was fretting that everything has changed on the phone) but it just seems to be that she moved the sewing machine and an old extension lead doesn't work! However she has changed bedrooms because of noises next door which I am going to check out tonight, so I have been moving furniture and getting rid of about 10 big blankets and some other stuff she agreed to chuck. She has enough clothes to fill a shop, not that anyone would be seen dead in them!
