Any supermarket range. I can't get excited about buying clothes when I'm buying milk!

BaronVonShush · 17/05/2015 00:34

Based on these answers, where the hell is it acceptable to buy clothes from? Lordy. I struggle enough as it is.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 17/05/2015 00:54

Edinburgh Woollen Mill

Even my mum wouldn't be seen dead in there.

dexter73 · 17/05/2015 08:22

You can buy clothes from wherever you like. This thread is just about shops that you personally don't like.

Lucy61 · 17/05/2015 08:30

River island go overboard by 'accessorising' their clothes with too many zips, buckles, buttons and studs that don't do anything. If it doesn't serve a function, it shouldn't be on there.

Stitchintime1 · 17/05/2015 08:33

Anything with a big logo on it. I would hate to have to wear a T-shit that said FCUK.

Mumstudentbum · 17/05/2015 11:18

Topshop - nothing fits
Zara - see above
Bon marche - hahahahahaha look like my nan

NickiFury · 17/05/2015 11:19

Wallis. Horrible clothes.

noddyholder · 17/05/2015 11:23

TBH I can find something I'd wear in any shop

PrincessShcherbatskaya · 17/05/2015 11:36

Cos - the most dull, boring and badly cut clothes I've ever seen.

Stitchintime1 · 17/05/2015 13:44

I don't get Cos either. Everyone raves about it. How you can sort out your entire working wardrobe from there. Stuff is either sombre or neon green. And everything is dry clean only. And a lot of it is boxy and short. I keep going in because yet another person persuades me I will love it, but I've never even found anything to try on.

BadgersArse · 17/05/2015 13:52

ditto cos

odd cut clothes for robots

The circle jersey top is lovely in all the colours and great for boobs! I look positively svelte in it

BadgersArse · 17/05/2015 14:14

Be grateful you are not six feet tall and have Long Tall Sally.
Expensive polyester frumpiness taken to new heights.
Literally.

Oh fuck me, LTS is a polyester fire risk. I want a decent tall shop.

New Look has gone downhill, all their tops twist when washed so the seams sit awkwardly and look shit.

I want to try COS when I go up to London as everyone says their stuff is long, but I really doubt theyll look good on my frame at all.

mrsdavidbowie · 17/05/2015 14:33

I look a bugger in Cos pinksquash
I want to love it. I pose in front of the mirror but just feel shapeless.

A lovely shop for six footers...cigarette trousers, straight lines......

I'm just reading the supplements and have come across a Joe Brown catalogue. That is seriously crap. The remnants even Per Una didn't want.

BumpAndGrind · 17/05/2015 14:34

'I love Primark for the first wear. It all goes downhill very quickly after the first wash'

Primark is like the worlds first disposable clothes shop.

Blarblarblar · 17/05/2015 14:39

River Island so much sequence why tacky
Next I often think oo that looks nice but then They just add something "mummy" to it. ( I am a mum but still)
Per Una I have to physically drag my mother out of there she loves it.
Have some great tops from Cos but dresses and trousers no.

Smooshface · 17/05/2015 14:46

Went to Simply Be shop on oxford street, did actually have some things i loved, going to get their high waisted denim shorts for holiday!

Dash/Bon Marche/Peacocks all blend into one mash of 80s mum for me.

I love Joules/Boden/Fat Face etc, haha! Wonder what the people that hate all that wear?

I would totally not suit leisure wear. I have stuff I wear round the house, but having Juicy on my bum would not be a good look, too fat!

Per Una I hate. So very granny. Only really like dresses from M&S, everything else is just so old fashioned, despite their best efforts.

Smooshface · 17/05/2015 14:48

For Primark it doesn't even take the first wash for some of it - bought a hoody there and on my second wear before washing it went massively bobbly, like i'd had it 10 years.

Baddz · 17/05/2015 14:55

Per una.
Jesus.
Why?
I shop at next, tesco, asda and sainsburys for my clothes. Ditto the dc.
I buy Boden from e bay (can't afford their prices otherwise)
Love boden skirts. Knee length, a line. Perfect for me.
That saying, just got a lovely navy short sleeved dolman top from tesco, but I know what you mean re fabric Mrsdv. It's all synthetic these days :(
