I have a gift voucher that is almost a year old.
I keep going in to look, but I can never find anything I like. They've really gone downhill. Their clothes used to be good but are now all shapeless, boxy and poorly made.

What about East? I tried a dress in there my mate was trying to get me to buy it!

Boden, primark, new look, select, joules, fat face, country casuals, viyella, dorothy perkins, peacocks, tkmaxx, ted baker, all just yuck

Oh and everything Debenhams sell, i hate, hate, hate that shop!

Oh no. I wear White Stuff and Mantaray because I cannot stand Next any more. Also some boden bought cheap off ebay. Staff in Debenhams say Mantaray is their best seller.

New Look stuff is generally not cheap now and the quality is very poor. Topshop far too young for me and overpriced but my dd looks great in it.

My GS's like JD, but imagining myself wearing this stuff conjures up images of the yes but, no but girl from Little Britain. I would look like that.

My DD's tell me I look a bit boho but where on earth else is there to shop, particularly when you live in the sticks like me?

Mad Glad I'm not the only one to feel that way about Debenhams. Their frumpiness and dubious sizing beggars belief. They were also one of the worst offenders when my ds' s were small for having racks and racks of girl's clothes which you had to wade through to find one rack of shite boy's stuff.

I am 5'9", and although normal BMI am a sturdy Germanic type. I look like the Hulk in most Zara stuff - all too short/tight in some places and baggy in others.

I take the point re Bon Marche (great if you like garish prints) but they do really not bad plain T-shirts with different necklines. Two for a tenner.

My worst nightmare shop would be Zara as I wouldn't fit into anything except the shoes and boots!

I've just had a look on the cos website and feel this would be a dreadful place to be condemned to buy all my clothes.

This dress looks like what the NHS puts you in if you're having an operation. I bet the back is open and you can see her pants.

Cos has some lovely things you do need to try and size small!
