Also I loved how they stored scarves in that wardrobe, I might copy that idea.

libertychick · 22/01/2015 13:38

Well done karbea.

shop and one packages arrived just as I was running out the door. Thank you Flowers will open when I get home.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/01/2015 13:59

Karbea yes the scarf storage was cool, shame I don't wear them as I have just bought 9 vases of that shape and size for wedding table centrepieces. Grin

muddling nooo own the look! Sounds fine to me :)

Hope you are ok mara. No wonder you are both stressed. How soon is the move? Flowers

had great service from M&S, ordered at 5.15 yesterday, it arrived at 9am!

LinusDKD · 22/01/2015 14:53

Grrr poor DS has a low fever again and complains of an earache.

Just when I thought he was getting better. Sad

Nothing to mention fashion wise unfortunately, my NaP order is still on it's way and I am paying €15 for the privilege. Hmm

Am tempted by a DvF skirt in the Matches sale but I'll have to pay p&p and duties so the discount really isn't worth it.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 22/01/2015 15:01

I think the problem with todays outfit is that its too pale Blair the jumper is blending in with the skirt and its feels bland. I look drained as well with the pale jumper next to my skin.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/01/2015 15:29

Maybe you're quite a high contrast person? I have dark hair and light eyes and pale skin, and would feel the same way in an all-light outfit. I like wearing all dark though, which throws out the theory a bit...

Drywhiteplease · 22/01/2015 15:58

muddling sounds very luxe to me.
Mara hope your lunch sorted things out.
Shop is he back yet?

Put for a much needed date dinner with DH tonight. Am so looking forward to it. Have come home to find him looking like a cross between Richard III and Max Wall (sp?) in the most unattractive ensemble.....long cycling skins in black, black rugby hoodie, slippers Hmm...hope he makes more of an effort later Grin

AND....my lovely dressing area is complete! I'm currently reclining on my chaise longue that arrived today........heaven. Smile

Oh......planned outfit for tonight:
Black Jaeger leather pencil skirt
Black skinny ribbed Uniqlo merino polo neck
Black shoe boots
Red lip
If I added a beret I'd look very ooooh la la..........

What an attractive couple we make!

QueenCardigan · 22/01/2015 16:49

Now if were to visit people's houses rather than swap wardrobes it would deginitely be yours dry. I'd love to,laze on the chaise lounge and drink fizz in the shed. Have fun tonight.

muddling nothing worse that feeling uncomfortable in an outfit all day. I'm sure it doesn't look as bad as you think. I've tried mentally counting everything in my wardrobe and am really not sure. Maybe 100? I only have the seasonal stuff out at a time so put away summer or winter stuff. I'm fairly ruthless at twice yearly clear outs.
karbea eyelash tints last about 4 weeks on me. I only get them done every 6-8 weeks though so spend a few weeks a year with v pale lashes and mascara.
linus poor ds. And you.

AmberNectarine · 22/01/2015 17:01

Out tonight myself- think will be the inaugural outing for the Bon Bon bag which has arrived and is fabulous. Moults like a bitch though, so won't be wearing black!

OneLittleLady · 22/01/2015 17:07

i so love that bon bon bag Amber

had to buy a new purse today as the zip on mine has broken. just bought a plain black leather purse, it's a large size but I have a small clip top one for fitting into smaller bags for nights out rare as they are

been having fun with my Dsis' masquerade mask which arrived her today, have sent her loads of snapchats of me doing various dull household chores in it Grin it made the day more fun tbf

maradesbois · 22/01/2015 17:34

QueenC I'd go to Dry's too, the hostess with the mostess!

Linus poor ds, hope he's better soon.

Thanks Blair and Dry. Lovely lunch with dh and friends in a smart new place. A glass of champagne and all was forgiven & forgotten Grin. Dsis here for weekend now, yay.

shopafrolic · 22/01/2015 17:47

One glad it fits - I was worried it would be too long
Those out tonight have fun. DH is home, and I have an Olaf toy! :)
Back tomorrow. Sorry to be a bit flaky.....

muddlingalongquitenicely · 22/01/2015 17:52

I dont mind wearing all dark clothes as i usually have red lips which didnt work so well with the light colours so went nudish lips. I have dark hair pale skin and blue eyes.

OneLittleLady · 22/01/2015 18:03

it is long shop but because I can sort of ruche it up, it works. In all honesty though I don't have to worry about tripping as when we are in the parks, I'll be in a wheelchair as I won't be able to cope with covering such large distances. Little upset about needing it to be like that but I guess I have to accept my limitations these days

AmberNectarine · 22/01/2015 18:50

Presumably you won't have to queue though one? Possible silver lining?

Am keeping outfit simple - well, as simple as I ever go and just wearing Helmut Lang grey marl tee, mid wash skinnies, black leather biker, white furry stole, zebra print IM high tops and the Bon Bon. That doesn't actually sound that simple...

Drywhiteplease · 22/01/2015 18:51

Awww Mara and QueenC you know you're always welcome Smile

Drywhiteplease · 22/01/2015 18:52

Grin Amber our outfits are complete opposites tonight. Which is why I love your style so much.

shopafrolic · 22/01/2015 18:59

Glad it works for you One.

Ladies. The hunt is on. I need:

  1. A designer handbag - under £1,000 - wanted a Celine box bag but it seems they are out of my price range Shock. Probably grey.......
  2. A bikini
  3. A cover up
  4. Assorted summer dresses for 6 days
  5. Evening wear for 3 nights - one to be a dress for a Gala dinner - the rest to be suitable for dining in restaurants at a fancy hotel
  6. Sandals and heels HELP!!!!! DH has said he will fund but it will need to be Outnet / clearance / high street for a lot of it. Where to start - need some clarity
LinusDKD · 22/01/2015 19:24

Have fun amber and dry! Both your outfits sound fab!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/01/2015 19:32

Wow Shop what an awesome challenge. What do you think is your budget for the whole lot, so we can allocate it (if you don't mind saying)? What sort of bag - like the celine, cross body and smallish? Colour?

I would get the summer dresses on the high street (H&M etc) and the sandals and maybe 1 evening dress (Zara or &OS) and the cover up, then aim to spend a bit more on the rest, but like you say looking heavily towards Outnet. Ooh what fun!!

Have fun Amber and Dry, amazing outfits. I'm currently mixing patterns like a pro in striped tee and leopard print PJ bottoms.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/01/2015 19:35

Forgot to say the M&S skirt is a keeper, gorgeous fabric (jacquard slightly less luxe than Stella!) and the 8 is slightly too big. I am very high waisted and I'd like it to sit there so that it's a bit shorter, so I'm going to try and get it adjusted.

I also need a new bikini, for the day after my wedding, when I shall be having a spa day with several (hopefully 50+) of my guests!! Why aren't I shredding every day?!

LinusDKD · 22/01/2015 19:43

How about this one shop?

LinusDKD · 22/01/2015 19:43

I love this one but it's black.

MN Vogue Volume 52
LinusDKD · 22/01/2015 19:51

a metallic Disco

Karbea · 22/01/2015 20:07

I'm fed up!

That was a universal waste of time. I'm actually dreading the style day now because the colours have made it impossible to find anything I like, once I'm more focused on what suits me I fear I will never find anything I like. :(
I did buy some gold ball earrings though.
