LOVE that jumper, Queen.

ForSaleChesterDraws · 01/02/2015 16:42

That jumper looks great Queen.

Thanks for the purse tips. I've been so unimpressed with TK Maxx lately. I still haven't forgiven them for only having one Lipstick Queen sets when I wanted two, and I graciously gave it to a friend for her present.

I have found this Furla purse and ordered it. Not impressed that they charge £9 for postage! Not that I could order from elsewhere though.

fooogle · 02/02/2015 13:16

ForSale , like the look of the Furla purse, hope its nice but Sad postage! I need a new purse too. Have an Orla Kiely one a friend gave me but its v. Autumn colours and the zip has gone me hoarding receipts ...

Have succumbed to yet another biker in the endless search, a new Zara one via ebay and a Zara pleather one to try on from the real shop. Thankfully it will prompt me to send some back now I think!

QueenCardigan · 02/02/2015 13:45

How about a grey one foogle

fooogle · 02/02/2015 16:01

Looks lovely queen though a colour for special occasions only I reckon with kids around! I really seem to be hankering after 'real' leather as well. Hilarious if I manage not to get one after the number I have processed through my house!

bought jacket in the Zara sale on Sat for 29.99 and this jumper in M and S. Illusive pine green I think...

QueenCardigan · 02/02/2015 16:51

Sorry, didn't realise it was faux leather. At that price I assumed it was real.

Love that zara jacket and fab price.

QueenCardigan · 02/02/2015 16:52

Not really winter colours related but if anyone needs new underwear figleaves has 20% off full priced items. Just ordered bras and bikinis to try.

fooogle · 02/02/2015 21:02

You'd think so queen at that price for non leather!
Could do with undies. Am near boobless though so not sure worth the effort Grin

fooogle · 02/02/2015 21:04

Need some (4cm not much more), low on the ankle boots... Any suggestions? Like sam Edelman petty ones but too spendy. Like my Asda ones mrpop though my driving has wrecked heels...

Librarina · 03/02/2015 11:31

I wanted to pop in and say Hi as I had my colours done yesterday and apparently I'm a 'Sprinter Winter'. Which I am very pleased about as they are some lovely colours, however my entire wardrobe, hair and make up palette is firmly in the spring, all warm and golden not bright, crisp or frost at all.

I have however bought a green scarf, so slowly creeping out of my comfort zone and I'm }this{ close to buying two jumpers linked to upthread (a damson H&M one and a green And Other Stories one)

Librarina · 03/02/2015 11:51

And just to add... does anyone else want to email their consultant and ask 'Is this one winter?.... or this one?'

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 12:48

Hi librarina I'm a sprinter too!

mrpop its arrived. Thank you Flowers. Haven't tried it on yet as I have flu.

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 13:00

What are you best colours librarina

shadesofwinter · 03/02/2015 14:26

Hi all, not been around lately but had my style day on Saturday and have come out as a classic ingenue. I was a bit argumentative at first as I associated ingenue with Alice bands and 1980s Laura Ashley, and thought I was more of a natural classic, but when my consultant showed me some pictures she'd pulled together of different style profiles I completely got what she meant and was won over! I'm quite excited as my current style leans more towards natural classic and I've been finding myself really bored with the way I dress, so this gives me the opportunity to add a bit more interest.

Is anyone else on here an ingenue?

shadesofwinter · 03/02/2015 14:28

Librarina I've emailed my consultant a few times, or messaged her through her Facebook page, to ask her opinion on specific items. She's happy to do that; I'm sure yours would be too.

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 17:19

Hi shades I'm an ingenue natural. But I'm about 50% ingenue but natural won it as my actual thing as I like to be comfortable! But yes, without those girly details I look boring too.

MrPop · 04/02/2015 11:28

Was just reading about this new kate moss for rimmel lipstick - wonder if it would work for us winters?

Welcome Librarina

You're welcome QueenC - hope the lurgy clears soon.

fooogle · 04/02/2015 14:55

MrPop that looks like it might be promising red-wise like I need another

Welcome Librarina

Today am a bit drab in Charcoal jaegar pencil skirt, charcoal uniqlo merino knit and lippy...black tights and shoes. Lacked inspiration this morning.

I am still dabbling with the idea of a style day. Worried I will feel even more constrained by things 'I can't wear' which seems a shame. and the £150 price

I am waiting on another biker jacket and debating some black ankle boots or knee highs.

Librarina · 04/02/2015 15:05

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's nice to be on MN not talking about pregnancy or sleep deprivation!

My best colours are Electric Blue and Chinese Blues, Lobelia, Magenta, Raspberry and Scarlet and Light Emerald. Also Charcoal as my best neutral, and Black! I'm so happy to have black!

My main problem is that the makeup I've worn for years is very wrong, and apparently the Bobbi Brown BB Cream, which I like is across-the-board yellow.... I didn't really get on with their mineral foundation, found it a bit chalky, so any recommendations for a decent brand that are more 'pink' based would be gratefully accepted!

fooogle · 04/02/2015 21:08

librarina I am never clear about skin tones and stuff. I thought you ciuldbe yellow toned and a winter? (I think I am so my foundation mostly is though I find it really hard to match my skin) what did your lady recommend?

I think I have lots of similar ** colours to you though I'm a jewel. I am also getting a bit wussy and going for more neutrals than brights.

NeitherHereOrThere · 05/02/2015 09:50

Welcome Librarine. Sorry got no advise re foundation/BB cream as I don't wear any - just lipstick and mascara/eyeliner here.

Fooogle - My understanding is that winters are cool and therefore colours that are blue based rather than yellow based are best. Saw a lovely biker on GAP's website - its plain and collarless which may be better for me...

A bit fed up not being able to wear skirts/dresses in this freezing cold - have just bought another pair of black skinnies from NEXT as I have almost worn out my old pair.

QueenCardigan · 06/02/2015 13:00

mrpop just wanted to say thanks again. I've tried it today just as a lip stain and I love it. When I look better and don't have red eyes I'll try it properly.

I don't wear foundation either so can't help although I di wear bobbi brown powder. I'm thinking of trying no7 next though as I like their colour match. Or I might try bare minerals.

ItIsntJustAPhase · 06/02/2015 13:21

I use Bare Minerals 'Fairly Medium' original powder foundation (not matte) and like it. I went to a John Lewis counter and they matched me.

SorrelForbes · 06/02/2015 18:30

I'm a fan of No.7 foundations, especially the Lift and Luminate. It's the only brand that I'm managing to get a decent colour match with at the moment.

Fairyliz · 06/02/2015 20:46

Hi ladies can I ask for some help? I fancy a breton top for Spring, but all the ones I have googled seemed to be blue plus ivory/cream. As a jewel winter I need blue and white.
Has anyone seen any around that are definately white?
Thanks
