Ohhhh how high are the coast heels? Am very tempted but can't walk in high heels. Bought the Ayra or Arya dress from Coast. More going out than work. But lovely.

Littlepinkpear · 04/07/2014 22:47

Not very, high enough to be a heel, low enough to wear all day. Plus very comfy.

I would like to commend my new pale grey reiss suit
Jacket www.reiss.com/womens/suiting/ravello/light-grey/
Skirt www.reiss.com/womens/suiting/luna/light-grey/
Dress www.reiss.com/womens/suiting/rimini/light-grey/
The jacket and dress are true to size, the skirt and the trousers were big so I sized down but didn't keep the trousers. I am little and it's not a petite fit but the sleeves don't have buttons so easy to alter. Skirt and dress are a flattering and conservative work place appropriate marginally below knee length. It's a very pretty grey, and obviously a pale grey summer suit is not exactly groundbreaking but what is nice about it is the styling there are raised seams which give a slightly boned / structured effect. And it's wool. And goes with everything.

Am going to have a look for those coast heels .... And zara sale seems to have restocked ....

GretchenWiener · 05/07/2014 08:14

KITTEN HEELS? I hate them

Bought in a hurry with a hundredweight of pizzas yesterday (mm try the chorizo one). Tried on this am. V nice

MotherOfFerals · 05/07/2014 10:55

Nice jacket gretchen. Coast heels aren't kitten. I love the way they look when I look down at them blogger stylee. Sad, but true.

Merriboo · 05/07/2014 11:11

off to pick up the Zara pearl necklace and have a nosy at the sales. I'm annoyed that I dithered over a couple of tops online at H&M- they have sold out now Angry
I hadnt gone for the Coast Celitas as I'm being careful after my foot op, and have an older (higher) pair of nude sandals which are similar though havent tried them on since the op. tempted now after all the glowing reports so I might see if there are any in store to try.

MissBeehiving · 05/07/2014 14:37

Having a bit of a printed skirt with a very simple top moment. I'm not really a print kind of gal, but I'm now ready to throw caution to the wind a bit Grin

bit concerned about looking like a milk jug

geometric

hopefully will look less like a support stocking irl

lurkingaround · 05/07/2014 14:58

Love the biker Gretchen. And it comes in charcoal! Must have a look.

Dug the garden today in my new Zara necklace, over a grey t-shirt. (And clothes obv.) Like a pp, all blogee style here today. Great necklace. My new love. Oodles of compliments yest at work.

Kitten heels look a bit like the heel has broken. Or been squoshed a bit flat by weight. On me. I see others and I think they look fine. But large hips (mine) and a teeny tiny heel, erm, not a good look for me.

GretchenWiener · 05/07/2014 15:11

i buy neckalces and rarely wear. In fact the only jewlleery I wear is a watch ( teacher) argos diamond studs or stella and dot hooped earrings

sometimes my maternity ring

lurkingaround · 05/07/2014 15:43

I am woefully bad at jewelry. Hardly wear any. And have hardly any jewelry. Just took a notion about this one. I might add, I didn't specifically dress in my pearls to do the garden. It just happened. Grin

Did you buy black or charcoal biker Gretchen?

GretchenWiener · 05/07/2014 18:06

Black. Charcoal wasn't in store

maybemyrtle · 05/07/2014 19:39

MissBehiving I really like the 2nd one, the Planet tile print - lovely pattern. Odd that they've called it "pink" though!

Bearleigh · 05/07/2014 21:53

I like the first skirt, and second skirt too, and I love the comment about the milk jug. I bet that blue & white skirt would look good with a white shirt as mentioned on Belinda's blog a couple of weeks back (modelled by V Beckham).

margaritasbythesea · 06/07/2014 10:53

Belinda - you're clutch is in the sale.

GretchenWiener · 06/07/2014 11:08

i am calling time on clutches for the time being. I have one for every occasion

Littlepinkpear · 06/07/2014 11:45

Coast heels are definitely not kitten heels. (Only thing worse is a sling back kitten heel - shudder)

Wearing them to Peppa Pig today to see how comfy they are. I realise this is tragic but who cares Grin

Quick hello from me - had DD1's birthday party yesterday and it was epic. It took lots of work and left me quite exhausted afterwards. Oh poor poor me Grin. Importantly, I wore a black lace BR long sleeve blouse, white TopShop skinny Baxters, silver BR Carlie flats and a yellow cross body bag. I had my hair done the night before - I recommend it as a tactic as I looked groomed, despite no hair effort.

gretchen that biker looks gooood.

pinkpear - wow, respect if you can do heels at Peppa Pig! I'm hoping to avoid all such places for ever after, but not sure I will be able to pull it off for much longer.

brillenbar - oh I quite fancy Reiss workwear - the styling is great. Nothing better for suiting than wool, IMO. On a budget, cotton, but wool is king IMO.

margaritas - thank you! I went to an Accessorize or two during the week and didn't see the Monaco clutch in the stores, so I will order it online. Although I think I will wait until a better reduction than from £45 to £30.

lurking - how v Elizabeth Taylor of you - she swam in her ruby necklace. Smile.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 06/07/2014 13:17

Beehiving - I love those printed pencil skirts. I always feel so good in one.

GretchenWiener · 06/07/2014 13:22

peppa pig world and Paultons generalyl is LOVELY Blinners. A really genteel park. clean and just triffic

GretchenWiener · 06/07/2014 13:24

has anyone tried these?
www.johnlewis.com/mango-slim-fit-cotton-trousers/p969059?selectedSize=12&colour=Light+Beige

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 06/07/2014 13:51

Mmm, I might just wait until another year for the jolly good time that would be Paultons Park. I haven't tried those Mango trousers, but it would be more helpful if John Lewis used the Mango style names, too, as Mango have about 100 styles of trousers.

GretchenWiener · 06/07/2014 14:07

plus its easy to bring naice food in. Lots of gardens and shady spots and a fun splash area
