Oops, thanks liberty. I have pinned them so hopefully links will work now.
Ivory vest am not sure about this.

Navy broiderie jacket definitely keeping.

BrandyAlexander · 29/06/2014 16:14

Oh my goodness FedUp love love love that jacket!

Marsha totally love yours too!

SoYo, most of us didn't know each other 18 months ago -ish when the first edition of MNV began. You are definitely welcome! I tend to think about what I am going to wear on the day. Then panic I have nothing to wearGrin.

Right now my head is full of home decor as the decorators are 3 weeks into their second 2 month stint. As an aside, John Lewis whom I would normally defend to the death and I am probably one of their biggest customers, have been utterly crap with their interior designer service.

But on the fashion front, this cardigan in beige and this sparkly cardigan winged their way into my wardrobe yesterday. I actually went in to the shop to get this. Ahem.Blush

SoyYo · 29/06/2014 16:28

fedup lovely LA jacket! Used to get things there but haven't in a couple of years, worth keeping an eye on.
liberty novice I will keep eye for future events, I'm only an hour and a bit from Kings Cross by train so perfectly doable, I am there tomorrow to take Heathrow Xpress, back on Wed night (work trip to Frankfurt). Then back on Thurs eve to see Jack White @ Apollo, and AGAIN on Fri to see gigs in Hyde Park.
So...just need to plan in plenty of time/keep up with you ladies.

Right, need to organise myself/house for early start tomorrow.
Hope you enjoy the rest of this Sunday whatever you are up to
Thanks

SoyYo · 29/06/2014 16:36

novice you just reminded me of that lovely sparkly WC cardi which was in my basket a while ago but then decided to wait till sale time.
Instead I ordered a couple of disappointing jersey dresses that went back and forgot all about it till you reminded me...grrrrr
MUST NOT LOOK AT ANYMORE GORGEOUS SALE BARGAINS...repeat after me....

SoyYo · 29/06/2014 16:42

And I am a sucker for lovely interiors and diffusers too...Blush, and music, and art, and metaphysical rumblings. Very easily distracted by beautiful thing and chat rooms and unable to multitask which is why i don't pop in often in this thread but when I do i post too much in my usual OCD way...sorry!

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2014 17:33

I've been slaving over a hot stove for what seems like an eternity. Totally BORED with my normal recipes, went out and bought Good Food mag for inspiration. Pulled pork in brioche rolls with coleslaw. Sounded lovely total pita and labour intensive . Better be worth it. I've never done pulled pork before......it's been in at 140 for 3 hours doesn't look v cooked to me Hmm 2 to go. Sleep I know u mentioned you'd cooked pp once, should I just leave it and trust the recipe or turn it up?

Fedup I spent ages planning my outfit for the MU I went to. When I got there everyone looked fab but not at all scary. Felt completely at home. Think the pre MU outfit chat is just be because we are excited about the clothes.

libertychick · 29/06/2014 17:37

Your posts have made me laugh SoyYo. I can identify with the distraction by beautiful things...

Novice, lovely buys and I almost bought that navy sparkle cardi a few weeks ago. What a shame about the JL interiors service.

Fedup that navy jacket is a classic, great find. Top is very pretty too.

I am trying to finish a section of my course, keep doing 25/30 min slots then popping in here/pin for distraction.

I have been moaning about not sleeping well and DH has just come back from TK Maxx with some lovely new pillows Smile

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2014 17:41

Me too Liberty.

The quick dash to Liberty could only happen if I got home and finished a proposal. It's probably bad I need the distraction to then do the serious stuff! I got the Stella M acid wash skinnies and the Marant jacket. Will see if there's some links somewhere.

SoyYo haha I think you're in good company Grin

Well done on a quick dash to Liberty Marsha. I haven't gone in there in ages even though I've been nearby a few times lately and I'm not disciplined enough to just stick to one floor! Great shopping, you'll wear both of those all the time and the jacket will be good for both work and casual.

MarshaBrady · 29/06/2014 17:49

Can't find them but Miranda Kerr in them here. She looks really good, I'd be happy with half that!

Can't find a real link for the jacket.

I am nearly done with sales stuff now, phew! Had to replenish the wardrobe, it was lagging, much better now.

Thanks Liberty I wasn't completely sure, but I got so flustered and I was in there for ages, so just had to buy or not and stop dithering.

Dry, snap with the food thing. I am doing pulled pork for the first time tomorrow in the slow cooker - got the recipe from here. Its already marinating ready to switch on in the morning. Will do spicy wedges, coleslaw, salsa, all homemade . Today I did margarita chicken which went down well. Let me know what your family think of the pork.

Love the sparkly cardigan Novice.

You sound like you have a hectic life SoYo. Shame you won't make the MU next week.

LinusDKD · 29/06/2014 18:49

Liberty is on my shopping list marsha! Can't wait! And this time DH won

I have also decided to go to the Matisse exhibition on Saturday morning depending on how successful my shopping is on Friday

Lovely jacket fedup I like broderie anglaise a lot.

That is so thoughtful of your husband liberty. I have been sleeping badly as well for a while.

I'll definitely take my Burberry mac to London in case it rains but I'm not sure on the bag. Maybe the yellow Nano as it's quite compact and I can wear it crossbody. My indigo Hobo is a bit too fragile as I don't want it to get wet. (The Colonil I ordered on Amazon got cancelled as they couldn't send any spraycans abroad so I haven't waterproofed it yet)

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2014 18:54

Bloody hell I'm having a disaster of epic proportions with my sodding pork. Doesn't look cooked (40mins to go) and my brioche buns haven't cooked because I must have accidentally turned the second oven down. Angry . Fedup will let you know how the pork turns out.

22 degrees in London on Saturday?Shock yippee !

Secretsquirrel13 · 29/06/2014 19:22

Dry I've never made it as we are pork free here, hope it turns out ok, or at least cooked.
Novice and SoyYo I love that sparkle cardigan but they appear to be sold out now.
Also love the broderie jacket too.
Who bought the white broderie dress recently and where was it from? New look or similar high st shop. Have suddenly created a need for one and the jaeger one I'm looking at is £100, am sure I can do better.
Oh and the big item I'm really coveting at the moment is a WOC, I blame one of you MNVers for this!!

SoyYo · 29/06/2014 20:12

right back for a final post, hair washed as won't manage more than quick shower with 5am start tomorrow.
Yes Secret sparkly cardie in blue sold out...just as well or more cash escaping with these sales.

Just checked out Frankfurt weather and will be warm and very sunny after tomorrow so will go pack light G.Webber dresses and Hobbs black with white piping linen suit from a couple of seasons ago and still going strong.
Also great news on London weather on Fri Dry didn't fancy being cold and wet @ Hyde Park gig (DH and DC's idea to go see the Prince of Darkness)
Fedup yes this week is manic, but not always so crazy...and I am taking time off work for the concerts in London later this week. My problem is I like my job a lot, love the multicultural aspects but at the end of the day it is a job...unlike a lot of my colleagues on the slippery pole of corporate life I have a life and luckily as I get distracted so easily Wink I can always find an excuse to Party!
I do get knackered with this double existence though...

SoyYo · 29/06/2014 20:16

Linus you will love Matisse!!! i was quite moved actually with the joy and explosion of colour the old artist poured into his work when he was old and so limited physically. Just wonderful. Enjoy!

QueenCadbury · 29/06/2014 20:19

What is pulled pork? As a vegetarian I have no idea!

Love that broderie jacket whoever bought it.

I love planning what to wear for things and would never just be able to decide on the day. Especially when I have to leave home at 7.30 to catch my train. Can't wait to meet those of you I haven't met yet.

LinusDKD · 29/06/2014 20:25

secret I got a DP borderie dress, maybe you mean that one?

Will try and find a link!

LinusDKD · 29/06/2014 20:27

sorry, sold out but maybe DP have some other broderie dresses.

Drywhiteplease · 29/06/2014 20:29

Secret it was DP.
queen it's a way of cooking pork really slowly so that the meat just falls apart, looks a bit like shredded duck in crispy duck iykwim.....only mine didn't , but Fedup it was delicious and went down v well. Brioche buns looked like mini flying saucers but tasted great. So not such a disaster after all.

Secretsquirrel13 · 29/06/2014 21:11

Ah shame it's sold out now was looking at this

Secretsquirrel13 · 29/06/2014 21:12

But it's possibly to formal and too ££

AmberNectarine · 29/06/2014 21:13

Aw, man I'm gutted to be missing the MU. Also had to scuttle home early yesterday as DD was puking everywhere. Needless to say she's fine today.
