motherinferior, the boys and I will be in E Yorks at half term but I suspect your cottage will be in picturesque Dales or summat? Big county, Yorkshire.

I'm in France.

I can't remember exactly where we will be on account of having blacked it out but not far from Keighley, IIRC.

Having said airily that Sats were no big deal for DD2 I was, as usual, talking out of my @rse and she is already tetchy and cranky. Doing L6 papers too. Gah.

OTOH kindly neighbour informs me the Ladyjogging has indeed toned me up, when she caught me going my stretches before going back in, under the malevolent gaze of the cat.

Wow hatty I love Paris. Where abouts are you, not that I know France that well.

Im up in the very North Wales (Welsh speaking) near Anglesey.

BB, I am a long way from London, too - Northumberland, and the oldest by a long way as well. I have GC.

DH has eventually gone out on his bike: sod's law isn't it that when I get my health back he suddenly gets things wrong with him. It took him ages to decide he would be ok. Sad

Great that somebody noticed that your looking fitter, MI.

BindiBach · 13/05/2014 10:43

Even further than me then I think NUF. How old are your grandchildren? My children are 21 and 22.

Crepeys, I need a 150-word shaggy dog story for my charity mag...help!

Report
originalpiratematerial · 13/05/2014 11:20

Smile at looking toned, mi! Nobody EVER says that to me Envy - they just look pityingly at me as I limp across the road and hobble up the steps to my front door. My return from Ladyjogging usually coincides with peak time school run (the primary school is further down my street).

NUFC69 · 13/05/2014 11:20

Thinking, MI, but nothing comes to mind - sorry.

My DC are 35 & 37 and the GC are 3, almost 2, 1 tomorrow and no. 4 is due in August, BB. The children were lateish starting but now seem to be having one a year, although DD thinks she has finished.

I always thought that once you had launched the DC into the adult world as responsible, caring people, that was that - but it doesn't stop you worrying about them; it's just different worries.

Sunsense doesn't seem to work on me, Stropps Sad I am FED UP of trying to find a facial sunscreen that doesn't go peculiar in some way on on my skin!

Report
Stropperella · 13/05/2014 12:34

MI, sorry to hear Sunsense doesn't do it for you. I dunno if it makes any difference but I sort of dilute it by spritzing with rosewater first and then putting on only a tiny petit pois-sized amount of Sunsense. If I just used it without the rosewater it wouldn't spread properly and I would look a bit orange. I tried using CC cream again today and it definitely looks alright from a distance, but up close I've just got that crepey-with-craters look that depresses me no end.

I have no shaggy dog stories, sorry. Ds has some, but I think most of them involve the words bum or willy, so probably not what you're looking for. Grin

DH's recounts of "interesting things" are shaggy dog stories and he wonders why we all get fed up with him!

Report
motherinferior · 13/05/2014 13:19

No matter, Stropps. I need to find a non-diluted version of something or other!

BTM, try DD1's breathless account of exactly who said what to whom in Y8. Do I care? Do I really, really care? That would be a no.

Oh god MI - have you seen the timetable for Thursday?! If they are knackered and cranky now.......

Report
motherinferior · 13/05/2014 13:36

Oh god no, tell me. I then have to take DD2 for her check-in appt at her secondary. What joy. Mind you they'll all be like that - presumably an impression of a particularly vile Y7 heading up next year.

Hi and welcome Bindi. Do you have dcs? I am a reasonably remote crepey in NI ( can wave to you in Anglesey) but have been persuaded, several memorable times, to crepey conventions in London.

if you are after coverage, lack of anaemia and sunscreen and also have sensitive skin, I can recommend this from Avene Smile
