Am now googling stripper shoes.

Welcome back Shop.
The dress arrives on Friday, I will let you know what it's like (quite excited!)
I have ordered these cufflinks for DH's "Easter egg".
Happy anniversary Shop and Santa.

I'm ignoring you Dry Hmm they are beautiful

Fedupnagging · 09/04/2014 21:51

Wonder how many of those they've sold Dry. The phrase more money than sense springs to mind.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/04/2014 21:52

Now that third to last pair is definitely a stripper shoe!! The charlotte O ones look like something Lady Gaga would wear. GV ones are stunning!

Ok fedup I'll take notes! Wink whereabouts else in US are you going?

One that's great news, it's fab when that happens. I think the last 2 pairs sound more "you" - so would wear whichever is more comfortable. Now you can feel smug that you've got a great outfit sorted well in advance :)

Thanks for comments on the skirt all. Now I need some advice please - what would you style it with for a day to evening do, going from nail bar to pub to restaurant to bars? This is my work do next Thurs (we're mostly women and yes they're paying for us all to have our nails done!) Was thinking a loose cream top - either a round neck crop top or a spaghetti strap cami tucked in, but I'd really appreciate any ideas Flowers

Sleepwhenidie · 09/04/2014 21:53

Oh, Dry, just in case your DS wants a listen, Flyte have their new single out...Zane Lowe played it last night, fingers crossed for it!

Sleepwhenidie · 09/04/2014 21:55

Ooh Blair, where are you having your nails done? Can I put a shameless plug in for Groom in St Christopher's Place?

Drywhiteplease · 09/04/2014 21:56

ooh
Sleep will pass it on and let you know

Dry DH and I think it's not their best track, it's good but a bit too nice, doesn't show off how amazingly talented they are...should have been a later single - but record co thought it was best so here we are. Will be interested to hear feedback from DS!

libertychick · 09/04/2014 22:02

Blair a cream round neck crop top sounds perfect with that skirt.

Fedupnagging · 09/04/2014 22:09

Thanks Blair. We are also going to LA and San Diego. Am v excited. How long and where else are you going? Great sounding work do.

One, probably the burgundy or indigo shoes to give some colour. Well done btw.

QueenCadbury · 09/04/2014 22:13

You need a pair of these dry Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/04/2014 22:14

Ty liberty! I just want something cheap I can wear again throughout the summer, I think.

Sleep sorry, it's already organised! I should have asked for recommendations on here really but my friend was in charge of it and we just let her get on with it. We're going to a place in the City (somewhat randomly) - wanted Cowshed but don't think they were keen on 7 of us booking in without doing a "party". Thanks though, that place looks fab and I'll keep it in mind for next time! (Do you go there or is it run by a friend or something?) :)

fedup sounds amazing! We are going for a week, just to Vegas, couldn't really justify a road trip in the end though we did consider it.

MarshaBrady · 09/04/2014 22:14

Santa I knew it would be that pin, I thought it looked massive too Grin. I think there is a bigger one, will see if I can find a link.

Linus they are gorgeous,

Shop welcome back

MarshaBrady · 09/04/2014 22:15

Blair I think the crop top sounds good but I also like those kind of skirts styled like this with a sweater and clutch

libertychick · 09/04/2014 22:30

This sort of thing is my fantasy shoe.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 09/04/2014 22:31

Evening everyone. Just dropping by for some inspiration, although I'm heading off to bed with a pounding 48hr headache and will check back any responses tomorrow.

In addition to the Tory Burch Kaley dress (which I am keeping, having been recommended a good alterations service by our ever-efficient PA), I have bought this dress, which is a beautiful, peachy/rose blush and looks like 1930s vintage and these shoes for Ascot. I now need a jacket/shrug/coat/whatever - preferably one to do a double-duty. I have a neat little tailored navy jacket with a bit of a peplum on the bum, but would rather keep to paler shades and preferably in-keeping with a 1920s/30s vibe. Any suggestions, Oh great doyennes of fashion?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/04/2014 22:32

I do too liberty but wondered if I'd be too hot? Also we might end up somewhere nice and I might feel underdressed. Ahh this day to night dressing thing is tricky!
