I am never drinking again! Feeling vaguely human after massive pizza express lunch and a sleep!

grumpy hope your trip is worth it
blair I'm put off by ordering from mango because of the returns faff as I've read on here that they take ages to refund. John Lewis do some mango stuff though so worth looking there if they have what you want as they are doing 30% off too. I assume that HOF will be doing the offer too.

Drywhiteplease · 26/04/2014 17:49

Ahem Queenc how many times have I uttered that phrase?
Great day out. Did a lot of mooching shopping with no particular purchases in mind, tea and wine stops . Got v excited when I found a lovely little shop that stocked Ch Olympia shoes and Chinti and Parker knits, thought of MNV.
Got home to tip and "have you washed my rugby kit?" see that white square thing in the utility? Do it yourself
Don't need to spend long getting ready for tonight. Will be wearing my old fav red dress with pewter accessories and shoes. Maybe I'll do red lips too.

Evening!

Back home after a wonderful but exhausting holiday. Seriously, I need another holiday on my own to recover from 7 days with a very active 18 month old and an even more active 3 year old.

Poor DH did do a lot with them as I still haven't fully recovered from the cold I had when we left.

Oh and I will never travel without my trusty Parlux hairdryer as the one in the hotel emitted as much hot air as an asthmatic hedgehog.

My hair was a constant frizzball so now I am considering having a Keratin treatment at my hairdressers as having nice hair really makes a difference to how confident I feel.

Will try and catch up but I think tonight will be a early one for me as we had to get up at 4 this morning to go to the airport.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/04/2014 19:57

Welcome back Linus, sorry to hear about the cold but glad you had a good time.

I decided not to order anything from Mango as nothing was quite right. The thing I was deliberating over was this stripe cotton dress but I don't love it.

Have decided I need the Hush harems though (thanks again Turq!) - does anyone know if they do codes? Never ordered from them before.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/04/2014 21:26

Black Dry, pref with dark striped trews and doeskin waistcoat, if you can lay hands on one. I loooove the double-breasted wedgewood blue ones. And a well-brushed black silk topper. But that's just me [wink{

QueenCadbury · 26/04/2014 21:51

Just done a JL order for home stuff and this found it's way into my basket. It's likely to be no good as it looks really thin but for £14 I thought I'd try. So much for not buying anything else!

Welcome back linus. Love the phrase ' asthmatic hedgehog'!

MarshaBrady · 27/04/2014 08:00

That's really pretty QueenC.

Grumpy good luck, the Maje dress is lovely.

MarshaBrady · 27/04/2014 08:03

Linus welcome back!

Blair that's really nice, but good idea not to if you're not sure.

BrandyAlexander · 27/04/2014 08:22

Morning all! Welcome back Linus. I know exactly what you mean about needing a sole holiday to recover from the family holiday!

We went out to dinner last night with a group of friends. I wore this Michael Kors dress that I bought almost a year ago and had been patiently waiting in the wardrobe. It looked fab, with R&B suede shoe boots, an alligator clutch (present from dsil) and a faux fur bolero jacket. Got lots of compliments which was lovely. Dh said I looked hot which was even betterWink I was originally going to wear it to the MU, but now I could imagine dh raising a casual eyebrowGrin

Shop, I hope you're feeling better.Thanks

Dry, I didn't have a chance to look for the jacket but will today.

MarshaBrady · 27/04/2014 09:09

Love that dress Novice, which reminds me we still need a mu venue!

And Pinterest argh for doing crappy suggested searches I can't get out of, change it!

santamarianovella · 27/04/2014 09:40

Big wave to you all!

Sleepwhenidie · 27/04/2014 09:51

Hi Santa, welcome back Smile - I have to say I thought of you in Maje Grin - I bet the dress and the top would look stunning on you...maybe you should take a little look HmmSmile

Sleepwhenidie · 27/04/2014 09:51

Great MK dress Novice Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/04/2014 10:21

I love that dress too novice, especially the colour, it's gorgeous.

santa I did think of ZK, but it's a bit more than I want to spend. There were some on the outnet but only a very bright blue :(

DP and I are going out for lunch today, to Tom Kerridge's 2 star pub The Hand and Flowers, to celebrate 5 years together. We booked it nearly a year ago! It's hard to know what to wear as it's still a pub, but think I'm going for navy whistles skinny trousers (like smart jeans), DKNY neon peach silk top, and pistols as it's going to rain all day. My stomach can't wait Grin

santamarianovella · 27/04/2014 10:23

Hi sleep ,I keep saying to myself :remember the Rossi pumps!,

Hope you had success decorating your holiday home Smile

Drywhiteplease · 27/04/2014 10:32

Blair lunch sounds lovely (as does your outfit) I adore good food.
Welcome back Santa and linus
shop hope you're ok.

Earth shattering news I don't have a hang over!Shock great night in my red dress, for once I paced myself well and shared my bottle or 3 of Chablis. Desperate to get to the gym what has happened to me?

Grumpy sent DH on his own Shock to sort suit. I told him black. Glad you agree.Went out for day with girlfriend. He called from shop bloody sales assistant confusing him with choice . It was noisy so I couldn't really hear him on the phone but made out the words "grey" and "cheerful" which set alarm bells ringing.
You know I have a loud voice, I screeched in a crowded public place " black!black! NO CHEERFUL waistcoats!!!!"
Think he got the message Grin

QueenCadbury · 27/04/2014 11:14

blair sounds like a great lunch and outfit.
dry sounds like a great night.
novice JL do that jigsaw jacket too but no 8 in stock online but probrably worth keeping an eye on.

I've just been for a long cycle. With the Easter hols I haven't done any exercise for a while and I'm feeling flabby and had forgotten how much I enjoy it. Looking forward to circuits tomorrow. Am going to eat healthily over the coming week as am carrying 2lb around my middle-not a lot but enough to make the difference to how clothes fit. Then I'll put it all back on with a boozy bank holiday weekend next weekend Grin

Gap have 20% off today so figured there'd be no 30% for a while so I've ordered some stuff for dh as I'm sick of him looking so scruffy. He always looks great for work as buys decent suits and shirts but other than that he lives in the same old shit for years. Some new jeans and tees will at least smarten him up a bit.

Lazy day here as dh is on call so we can't do a lot plus it's raining. Might do the ironing. Oh, the glamour!

OneLittleLady · 27/04/2014 11:29

Wish me luck ladies. It's Ds's birthday today and we're going to a play centre party with over 20 children! I may be run ragged by the time I get back!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 27/04/2014 11:50

Words to strike fear into my heart one - play centre on a Sunday. I'm on my way to London for a mooch around Selfridges & Liberty and then a late lunch with my Uncle on Kings Rd. The DDs are with me, so I am not completely neglecting my motherly duties.

Santa I think you and I have similar tastes. Really hoping the Maje dress looks good on as I have my heart set on it.

Dry Shock at cheerful waistcoat!

MarshaBrady · 27/04/2014 12:26

Dh has taken ds swimming, good guy.

I am doing a roast and reading the papers, whilst ds1 does his homework. Love relaxing Sundays.

I like the look for the Miu Miu anorak in the ST Style and Blair your fab MiH Phoebe slims are in there as the perfect boyfriend jean.

MarshaBrady · 27/04/2014 13:09

Big wave to Santa welcome back! I keep seeing even lovelier GR heels. Think the proportions are perfect.

One good luck! And happy birthday to your ds.

Dry that is so funny.

Topazandpearl · 27/04/2014 13:27

Good luck One!
Welcome back to the holiday returners.
The sun is shining here in the NW, so I am sitting in the garden with a coffee and mn after returning DD to her uni. DH is doing the longer journey returning DS to his. The house will seem very quiet - and tidy!
I am blaming them being home for the extra 4lb I have put on, bigger meals and more 'treats' in the house.DH has put weight on too so will be prepared to return to more meagre rations. (Trying to ignore the two biscuits I had with my coffee Hmm).
Enjoy the rest of Sunday.

maradesbois · 27/04/2014 15:21

Hello all,

santa and linus welcome back!

novice gorgeous dress, like the sound of how you styled it too.

dry Grin at 'cheerful' waistcoat! My dad is a fan of a loud tie and sock, used to mortify me and siblings when young but now we just let him get on with it!

blair enjoy your lunch, sounds amazing. I really like the look of his cooking.

grumpy, marsha and topaz all sound like lovely plans. one you are a brave lady tackling a weekend soft play, hope ds has a lovely party.
We are just back from a long costal walk. A bit grey and drizzly but had a great time admiring yachts in the harbour. Also some nice little shops which will check out another day without dh.

No s&b news to report except popped into celine yesterday to check out all the cobalt bags. linus's hobo is gorgeous. Am tempted by the trio larger size. It's euro 750, am thinking if don't buy anything else all trip I could maybe consider it ... will see.

QueenCadbury · 27/04/2014 17:51

Whilst ironing dh's shirts I had the sudden realisation that I'm bored and that there has to more to life than this Confused. Faced with the prospect of the next 2 days of doing housework etc I could literally cry. But being a sahm works for the dc, dh and on the whole for me. I like picking them up from school and being around in the hols. And I realise that I'm incredibly privileged to be able to have the choice of work/sahm. And I realise I'm incredibly lucky that I'm here to see my dc grow up . I just need more than for my life to revolve round the kids. I was meant to start my volunteering finally this week (it's taken ages to get all the paperwork done etc etc begore starting) but my client is in hospital so obviously won't be visiting him this week.

Anyway sorry to bore you all. Dh listens but tells to me go back to work if I'm really unhappy but the stress of juggling work/childcare won't make me happy either. I've realised as well that my mad week or two of ordering lots of clothes online is because of boredom too. Please tell me if you're a sahm you feel like this sometimes too...?
