First of all I apologise for the title of this post, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it! Do you have a style that is popular at the moment that you absolutely loathe ? The reason I ask this is because, today I have been out in my local town and noticed a lot of women wearing a certain type of look, but not sure how to describe it. Quilted fitted jackets, tightish or bootleg jeans, some sort of boots, animal print scarf, designer handbag and gold jewellery. I'm really not keen on this look, but they might not be keen on mine, so each to their own! Just wondered if anyone else feels this way about certain looks?

velvetstrider H and I have nicknamed those 'poo-catchers'. I hate them.

I agree with skater dresses, they suit no one.

Anything Kim kardashian wears makes me cringe.

BetterWithCheese · 28/02/2014 20:52

Bow-legged incontinent sparrow = best description ever Grin

DipMeInChocolate · 28/02/2014 20:54

Brogues
Quilted Jackets
Parka's
Cheap Jeggings
Boyfriend Jeans

DipMeInChocolate · 28/02/2014 20:54

Agree with scary brows too.

Smartiepants79 · 28/02/2014 20:55

These
currently fashionable in my favourite city.
Along with pyjamas in public and going out with your hair in rollers ready for the night out to come.
I have never seen this any where else.
I just don't get it. The women of this city are very image conscious and well groomed. Why is it ok to go shopping in your rollers?

Also patterned leggings.
Why?

McFox · 28/02/2014 20:55

Ugg boots. Everyone looks like a mess and walks like a child in them. They make me want to shake people and say 'make a bloody effort'!

Also skinny jeans on men. Just boak.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 28/02/2014 20:58

Skater dresses. Just look the wrong shape on virtually everyone.

Skinny jeans. Never got it.

Those sort of matted-fur coats than end on your hips.

Obviously people can wear what they like, etc. etc., but those do nothing for me.

scottishmummy · 28/02/2014 20:58

Ugg boots,skinny jeans.so trampy

cloudskitchen · 28/02/2014 20:59

Agree with the donut bun. I wear a messy bun but there's something about the neatness of a donut bun that I hate. And the size of some of them is ridiculous.

Pointy fingernails

Leggings without something covering the bum. It doesn't look good no matter how skinny the wearer.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/02/2014 20:59

Totally agree re young men in shit coloured trousers...or burgundy ones - I call them, 'Harry Styles' trousers. Ugh.

I saw a couple of young orange girls wearing yellow trousers recently. That wasn't a look I particularly admired - like Oompa Loompas crossed with a Playschool presenter.

Ellisisland · 28/02/2014 21:01

I used to work for an airline and he donut bun was part of the uniform so I had to wear one every working day for 3 years. I cannot even begin to understand people wearing them out of choice! Shock

The leggings as trousers look is a no no for me.

cerealqueen · 28/02/2014 21:02

Parka, uggs, skinny jeans - everybody on the school run is wearing this where I am, including me (except the uggs, can't afford them). I have just ditched the parka and bought a vintage style wool coat off ebay, updated it with some nice new buttons, got my beret out and I feel like I'm out of the uniform.

Enb76 · 28/02/2014 21:05

Skinny jeans, leggings or jeggings with anything. I really don't get the skinny thing, if you're not under a size 10, have a perfect flat stomach, impossibly long legs and tight bum then they just look awful. I don't care who you are; if you think they look good then you are deluded!

Jogging bottoms - you don't look very sporty so I'll just assume that you haven't bothered to get dressed

Onesies - put some clothes on.

BloodFlower · 28/02/2014 21:06

The fact that faux 'grunge' or general alternative fashion is now cool, wheras a couple of years ago I would have been heckled in the street for wearing the same things, probably by the same people who are wearing them now.

Ujjayi · 28/02/2014 21:18

High heeled trainers a la Ash - doesn't matter if they are the real deal or a cheapy high street copy. Vile. Cannot abide the things.

WhereIsMyHat · 28/02/2014 21:34

Oh yes, trainer wedges, they just make everyone who wears them look odd no matter who they are.

AndTwoBits · 28/02/2014 21:40

Aztec

Felix90 · 28/02/2014 21:41

Blood totally agree! The awful perma-tanned, juicy couture velour tracksuit wearing girl in my office started banging on about Converse and Vans trainers last year, like she was the first person to ever start wearing them, when she's definitely the sort who used to rip the piss out of me for wearing the exact same trainers in school Sad

Aquelven · 28/02/2014 21:51

Leggings. Look awful on everybody.

Skivvywoman · 28/02/2014 21:53

Hate fake ugg boots that go to the side, saggy leggings, coco the clown eye brows!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/02/2014 21:54

Wedge heeled boots - I really like wedge shoes but wedge boots look like trotters imvho.

RedPencilPot · 28/02/2014 21:56

Puffa style quilted coats

AfroditeJones · 28/02/2014 21:57

Blimey I will throw my leggings in the bin tomorrow.
Anyone can link the kind of jeans that are acceptable and which shoes should we wear with them?

Awks · 28/02/2014 21:58

Oh gawd I loathe those jumpers with fake blouses under. Wtaf are they all about?
