After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

I was doing pretty well in the run up to Christmas, but then I ate my own body weight in chocolate and stilton and I now feel like a sloth. My jeans are tight and my skin is bleugh. So I need to get back on it.

Also I start a new job on January 6th so I need to look a bit more groomed. Am going from working in a classroom to working in an office, so a total change.

In the new year I am going to:

  • lose the weight that I have put on over Christmas
  • eat healthily - lean protein, lots of fruit and veg, plenty of water
  • cleanse and moisturise properly every day
  • keep up "maintenance" with regular appointments for hair, nails, waxing, facials etc.
  • not buy any more clothes for at least a month (I have hit the sales quite heavily in preparation for my new job) but find interesting ways of putting the clothes I have together
  • exercise (probably walking, swimming and yoga as running has been banned by my GP due to a trapped nerve in my back) at least 3 times a week.

DH and I have booked a weekend away without the DC for the beginning of February, which will be my first target for looking gorgeous.

Karbea · 29/12/2013 18:11

Hello,

I went AWOL with this before, but I'm in again. Not sure what I'm going to achieve... Will be daily baby steps for me. Biggest issue is cr@p food and slob like tendencies!

Bigfatgypsyweddingwatcher · 29/12/2013 18:13

Place marking

dazzlingdeborahrose · 29/12/2013 18:41

Place marking. Will be back with a list.

Pollywallywinkles · 29/12/2013 18:47

I'm still thinking about what I want to do.

Definitely more exercise, but not sure what at the moment.

I'm pretty good at a daily beauty regime, but I want to up it a bit.

Hands need serious attention, so weekly manicure and more use of hand creams on a daily basis.

Diet is generally reasonable, but I need to get back to normal eating in the new year.

Pollywallywinkles · 29/12/2013 18:50

Just remembered, no new clothes in January (possibly longer) and no products until I have about ran out.

CatAndFiddle · 29/12/2013 19:04

Oooh. I need this. My plan is to get back on track with healthy eating, but particularly pay attention to my water intake. My skin is shocking for my age and I think a lot of it is down to dehydration. I also need to tone up after having a baby in June. Going to start with the 30 day plank challenge. And my clothes. Major one for me this...I hate shopping so have ended up in a situation where I have very little to wear as things have quite literally worn out. Just bought some bits in the sales to try to build up a wardrobe again...but am quite clueless about how to dress. Will need some help with this one!

greedygoose · 29/12/2013 19:07

Marking place, all over this....

Dilidali · 29/12/2013 19:11

Hullo!!!!!
I'm in, will post a list once I've parked the child :)

FutureDreamer · 29/12/2013 19:14

Excellent.

2014
I'm going to:

Stick to a cleanse and tone routine
Shred 5 x week
No junk food
3 litres water per day
No clothes shopping and day unique outfits

That for starters

scaryg · 29/12/2013 19:17

I'm in as well. I've been thinking about sorting myself out this year. My list so far is;

  1. Implement a 5:2 diet in so far as BFing my 24m DD will allow.
  2. Sort out an easy to stick to daily facial care routine.
  3. Have a dry January and spend the money saved on booze on a pedicure at the end of the month.
  4. Get the Zumba game for the Wii and use it at least once a week, I'm a couple of pounds off my pre-pregnancy weight but my tummy really needs toning up.
CallingAllEngels · 29/12/2013 19:23

Ooh, shiny new thread!

I solemnly swear I will....

-exercise regularly
-eat and drink better..fewer unhealthy snacks and coffee, more veg and water
-keep up with cleanse, tone and moisturising regime
-take time to pamper...face and hair masks, pedicure
-plan my outfits and jewellery so I look fabulous everyday, especially when leaving the house/work

Fab41 · 29/12/2013 19:25

Off to think of the plan, and will be back

Vicky08 · 29/12/2013 19:28

Marking place. I'm in. Will be back later when kids are in bed.

Wolfcub · 29/12/2013 19:29

I'm in.

My list for starters

Drink more water
Walk more with a view to running
Eat better/less with a view to losing weight
Be more groomed - face, clothes and hands particularly

JemimaMuddledUp · 29/12/2013 19:36

I think I am going to add "I will not use glitter nail polish" to my list! Just spent 10 minutes scrubbing off the stuff I put on for Christmas. Am now slathering my hands in Body Shop Hemp handcream to try to repair the damage.

I'm using Pinterest and Polyvore to plan outfits for my new job. Does anyone else use them?

smellylittleorange · 29/12/2013 20:00

Im in! Want to be more groomed and healthy. I have clarins goodies and a lovely new red longchamp bag a holiday in feb and a Wii at my disposal
