I adore this hat

BrandyAlexander · 02/12/2013 21:06

Shop, I missed that programme as i was doing bedtime with the dcs.

On the aid front though.... The contractors have been in the village last week buying all the building materials and we start building the new kindergarten block on 12 January. It will hopefully be done in 3/4 months. Which means within less than a year we will have done the scholarships, sponsoring the children and rebuilding the first of 3 blocks. I am just about to send them extra for Xmas. I am feeling all organised charity-wise as I have done my Christmas food bank shop which we will deliver this weekend so taking processing etc into account, the treats i have included should be handed out for Xmas. That's the end of inspiration though so my friends and family are royally screwed on the presents front, especially dh!Grin

AmberNectarine · 02/12/2013 21:15

Not me, my birthday is the 19th, though I am a fellow Sagittarian.

Also had a gap spree, few bits for DH, couple of pairs of trousers for DS and loads for DD. Nothing for me . DH tells me he has finished his shopping for me now and is significantly over budget - as he is usually generous I am holding fire on purchasing until I see the haul.

Happy birthday foxy and DD, hope you are enjoying the Pashli. I used mine again today, such a great bag, and the size came in handy when I had to stealth two childrens onesies out of the supermarket (hiding them from my kids who were with me, not on the rob, I hasten to add).

Have had an evening of present wrapping and wine drinking while catching up on Corrie. First Xmas event on Thurs, May break out the Coast sparkly top!

libertychick · 02/12/2013 21:15

Sympathies on the audit stuff novice. Sorting out VAT and invoicing here, trying to get paid up to date before Christmas...
Great hat QueenC.
I held back a bit at Gap today Grumpy as I'm fully expecting them and BR to have 70% of almost everything closer to xmas. Just jumped on the jacket for DSis as I want her to have it for Christmas morning.

And the wonders of Sleep's advice - she said I should give up caffeine - I have reduced to green tea only before 12 and none at all in the afternoon - was hell last week but today I am feeling brighter and this evening I was feeling great instead of the usual feelings of exhaustion I have in the evenings.

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 21:21

That's really great Liberty, I'm impressed by anyone who can not have coffee. I only have two in the morning, but I really, really enjoy them!

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 21:41

Grayson Perry is everywhere.

Drywhiteplease · 02/12/2013 21:46

Marsha I need my strong coffee in the morning too. But I have swapped sweetener for a tea spoon of honey in my yogurt and it's ok, I've always worried about sweetener.
Oh liberty hope you like the book???it's full of little letters to read out. I love it...but I'm a big kid Grin

Just reading InStyle mag. Article about "word robe diet";

Try everything on and get rid would take a weekShock
The average woman wears 1/4 of her shoes guilty sort out.
Invest in neutrals well that's obvious
But.....we all have sentimental items we just can't get rid of, they suggest keeping up to 6 such items in each categories Shock I don't have THAT much sentimental stuff Shock ....that would be 6, shoes, 6 jumpers, 6 skirts,6 trousers I don't have sentimental trousers etc. that's a lot of sentimental stuff Hmm

RubyLovesShopping · 02/12/2013 21:47

Grin Amber! made me laugh
managed to get to nearest city today, full of shoppers, came home with no presents but managed to pick up this in tk maxx for £40. I like it, is wool/cashmere/silk, but don't love it. Would wear with my dvf if I ever get it, feeling guilt as supposed to be there for present inspiration and came back clueless.
Who was it suggesting MBMJ navy bags? yes the lining is too busy for me, sadly.
Am watching the Liberty thing on tv, quite enjoying, it looks so calm in there and not like where I was today.
off to browse Gap.

AmberNectarine · 02/12/2013 21:51

Ruby that is beautiful! Great score!

Drywhiteplease · 02/12/2013 21:52

Sorry QueenC I'm a bit late! missed your earlier post.....lol at forgetting pants!Grin and "doing a Dry"

I'm a bit pissed off because I ordered a dress from Warehouse before work this morning nothing like a bi of retail therapy to start the dayGrin and got home to an e mail with a 20% discount code Sad e mailed them to explain and ask if they can refund the 20%.... Fingers crossed.

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 21:52

Gosh that's a bargain Ruby amazing! Am Envy

Dry dropping the sugar from the coffee was one of the last things to go for me, but I haven't had it for about a year and I now get really excited about really strong espresso every morning. With eggs. A friend and I were talking about how it is the favourite part of the day. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow morning Grin

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 21:57

Is that September in the Liberty thing? I knew I saw cameras when I was there! Love that bear. But wish John Lewis didn't do the awful bear advert would remind me of that.

Drywhiteplease · 02/12/2013 22:12

Poached eggs on whole meal toast marsha ....heaven!!!!
ruby that scarf is lovely
Amber I can't forget your birthday....same day as dd

shopafrolic · 02/12/2013 22:20

Dry book looks fab. Thanks for all the recommendations. DH bought a bloody chair that is too sodding big for my beautiful room. I am fuming. He suggested moving the desk to another room (it's white, everything in said other room is pine). I said no, get a different chair. Stand off. I'm in bed Grin. So I'll watch Liberty tomorrow. Night all you lovely lot.

Sleepwhenidie · 02/12/2013 22:21

Dry Shock - carbs and Marsha don't mix!!That would be my perfect breakfast too though, what I have most days in fact. Is it worth re-ordering the dress with the code and returning the first or too much of a pain?

Amber - I thought of you and your beautiful engagement ring when looking at Style yesterday. Did you see the bit about Carat - some very tempting things there...

Gorgeous scarf Ruby

Glad you are feeling good Liberty Smile - and we didn't even change any food yet!

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 22:25

Lol Sleep! Grin although if I did I'd have that too, but with whole grain toast and loads of butter.

Sleepwhenidie · 02/12/2013 22:26

Oh yes, exactly what I have! Love it.

AmberNectarine · 02/12/2013 22:27

Marsha I hope that wasn't a bit of bear and hate blasphemy. It is the only advert that has ever made me even slightly emotional. I absolutely love it, as do my kids - we have Somewhere only we know on repeat in the car!

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 22:30

Lol Amber Grin it's the bear's expression at the end.

BrandyAlexander · 02/12/2013 22:35

Serious Envy of Amber for wrapping presents! Wish-ful thinking. Envy and at Ruby's fab find. I need to make more time to spend at TK Maxx. Maybe that should be my new year's resolution?

Drywhiteplease · 02/12/2013 22:43

Sleep returning and reordering would be no trouble at all! but now I've emailed them I need to wait for a reply....but! I'm worried it will sell out.Hmm WWMD?Grin
Btw Sleep I eat loads of eggs! but is there a limit to how many you should have I a a week? I've read mixed stuff on the internet....mostly that because of what they feel the hens eggs are not so high in cholesterol now....like Marsha I adore them. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs ......drool. Smile

Drywhiteplease · 02/12/2013 22:44

"Feed the hens"....not "feel the hens"!!!!!!! Grin

Annianni · 02/12/2013 22:45

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 22:47

Dry I'm wondering about the egg count too.

Anni I know the spider was huge. I rather liked her outfit (on her).

Annianni · 02/12/2013 22:53

I have no idea what she was wearing Marsha :o

As soon as I saw that box tucked under her arm, I looked away major phobia... Can't even look at photos or on tv
