I'm pretty bad too. When dh takes out the ones in the house he's not allowed to walk towards me. Hate it when people muck around like that.

Annianni · 02/12/2013 22:55

Love that scarf Ruby.
I walked past Tkmaxx with dh earlier, but i'm not supposed to be shopping at the moment Hmm
ignores £££ jeans so I didn't go in.

Annianni · 02/12/2013 22:59

Oh... still not spoke to dh about 'stuff'
Got appt with gynae consultant on the 16th.
Dh is going to book the day off.
Not looking forward to it.

Annianni · 02/12/2013 23:01

Takes them outside Marsha Shock
They must die in this house.

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 23:08

I can't even bear dead ones . One big reason I live in London, you should see an Aussie one, or rather not!

Good luck on 16th lovely, hope it goes ok. We'll be thinking of you.

Sleepwhenidie · 02/12/2013 23:08

Eggs are amazing Dry and Marsha - don't worry about cholesterol, go for it. Even the DM says so ...I could probably find more scientifically credible source to back me up but I'm too tired Smile.

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2013 23:12

phew Sleep, thanks.

QueenCadbury · 03/12/2013 07:07

Any thoughts on last night fashion awards outfits. Kate as usual looks stunning.

QueenCadbury · 03/12/2013 07:09

I also love Sienna's dress but can't help but wish she'd worn a bra or something more supportive up top.

Drywhiteplease · 03/12/2013 08:03

AmberNectarine · 03/12/2013 08:12

I'm the fool that catches them under a cup and releases them out the window so they can come straight back in

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2013 09:06

lol Dry you crack me up, so funny. thanks though Grin

Sienna looks gorgeous in that green, but agree on the boobs. Is the guy modelling himself on Depp?

Gwynnie's is a bit meh. The black skirt part in particular.

shopafrolic · 03/12/2013 09:56

Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Woop!

Decameron · 03/12/2013 12:35

Liberty, love the librarian look!

Best of luck with your appointment, Anni.

Umlauf, I have those grey photo ready J Brands, they are my favourite jeans atm.

Sounds like a lovely birthday, Foxy but very annoying about the laptop.

You buy fantastic presents, Mignonette. Glad your niece is ok. What an awful accident.

Sent back this dress as way too short on me (nice though for someone less tall) but less guilt about buying the black M by MJ Natasha bag now, it was a bargain from the Monnier Freres sale.

Sleep, I am conscientiously keeping a food diary which I will bore you with tomorrow! Have decided to try and go low carb Mon-Fridays, what do you think about doing that? I eat a lot of protein and few white carbs anyway but I realised from keeping a food diary that eating four Ryvita each lunchtime and a massive bowl of muesli each morning might not actually be as healthy as I think!

QueenCadbury · 03/12/2013 13:10

Grin at dry. Love your indepth style analysis!

Mignonette · 03/12/2013 13:26

Hi everybody- a quick flying visit and I have a code for Zatchels with 25% off!

ZAT25-XXGH-8876

Think there may be free P&P too which is quite a whopping old saving. I bought DD the large metallic purple leather satchel for carting her patissiere stuff about (although her knives have to be in a locked box).

Liberty The Librarian 'with a secret' is my look so I thought you sounded great. I love that look.

Harry Styles a 'style' icon? He looks like he's exercised bad judgement in Top Man.

Sienna- That dress was very Alberta Ferretti circa 2003.
Hayley Atwell - Love it and hate it.
Laura Bailey- perfection apart from the orthopedic Stripper sandals.
Poppy Delevingne- what does this woman do apart from lig and tart herself about at events?
Amber Le Bon- WTF???? Like a 60 yr old at a Rotary Club dinner below the waist, common as muck above it.
Yasmin - rare and epic style fail.
Rosie Witless or whatever- Is she at a NASCAR after race dinner? She looks like a NASCAR wife.
Pixie - channelling La Moss in a silver slip dress but not quite pulling it off.
Jade Parfitt- love, love, love it.
Donatella- why has she had a baggy old Vulva sewn onto her face?

Mignonette · 03/12/2013 13:56

Just held (and caressed) a pair of Pistols from Anna. Just saw gorgeous Edelmann leopard ballet's and super spiky high DVF heels. Not dancing heels- more like cling onto the wall and get me a bloody cab because I cannot walk in them heels.

Pink shimmery snake like heels. Anybody biting?

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2013 13:58

Mig! Grin

Dry agree on Suki, fab dress.

Decam lovely dress, would like to try those j brands. If you do go low carb, then welcome to the low carb side with me Grin

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2013 13:59

I might on those Edelman leopards. Will hunt them down.

QueenCadbury · 03/12/2013 14:07

mig do you not have a comment for alexa Wink

Decameron · 03/12/2013 14:12

Actually would love a list of what to eat, Marsha! Those jeans would be lovely on you, I'm sure they'll be on sale soon too.

Sleepwhenidie · 03/12/2013 14:46

Hey Decam - low carb can be good, but it depends....I'm sort of all about experimenting and finding what suits your body and not banning anything completely (unless you have a genuine intolerance). Low-carb is definitely an effective weight loss strategy for many people. Most people definitely eat too many carbs and not enough protein - so often just an adjustment to this balance has positive results. I would recommend that everyone avoids white or processed carbs most of the time. But some people - particularly those who do quite a lot of exercise - either don't feel great (whereas some feel fantastic) or just feel like they are deprived and 'on a diet' if they eat very low carb - so its not sustainable or necessarily healthy for them. In this case I would cut down but include whole food carbs - lentils, quinoa, beans, sweet potato, brown rice etc. It becomes even more important if eating low carb to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating enough fat, so keep that in mind.

Personally I love and miss bread if I don't have it, so I keep it to one or two slices of granary bread a day with breakfast or lunch. After that I rarely have carbs (unless out for dinner or if I really fancy it), other than those in veg, for the rest of the day. DH has found though, that eating like this, he felt shattered most of the time, so I started to add some wholefood carbs with dinner and he feels miles better. I'll have a small portion too if/when I fancy it.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2013 14:53

I had a google and the best information seems to be from here on mn.

So I eat lots of green veg, fish, eggs, cauliflower and good fats etc. The only thing is alcohol, I've stopped that except when out with you guys! or when out with other friends / dh.

But Sleep is right about how you feel, if it makes you feel deprived, I don't but I've been doing it for donks now, I think if I'm eating enough veg I'm ok.
