Who bought the ski sweatshirt recently?

Found an interesting dress that's similar.
It's on mnv :o

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/12/2013 19:34

Can I just say how Xmas Envy I am at Amber's collection of goodies?

DH has his good qualities, but unfortunately present-buying is not one of them - he is at best lazy, at worst deeply neglectful. He uses work as an excuse (waaaaaay too busy) for not buying presents, but I'd argue that I'm far busier than him and yet I manage to buy every single present for both his and my families and all our friends/staff/random peeps who require them. He'd rather spend his free time sleeping. A couple of years ago I got shiny purple wellies with yellow stripes up the back Hmm. They were too big for me and I already had wellies.

AmberNectarine · 10/12/2013 19:38

Ah I just relentlessly badger my DH till he has no choice. No, in fairness he has always been a good gift giver - our first Xmas together he bought me a lovely Mulberry and two pairs of shoes. The problem was he set the bar high!

Mignonette · 10/12/2013 19:40

My Creatures of the Wind skirt is on sale on The Outnet - I so so recommend this skirt. It does pretty, it does workplace. Very adaptable. I have worn my skirt so many times.

Queen great hat- verree saucy. Love Baker Boy style.

I have to show you my daughters tree topper. I don't know whether to laugh or be appalled. It is her beloved Purple Ted, her since babyhood companion.

I love that skirt Mig I also think it's cute what your DD is using as her tree topper Xmas Smile

Annianni · 10/12/2013 19:59

I love the tree topper Mig :o

My tree is looking a bit sorry for itself already.
Ds2 has sat in it twice and removed a whole section of baubles, ribbon, the lot!

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 20:01

Anni we've had to take our tree down as the cat wouldn't stop destroying it! We've instead taped baubles, tinsel and lights over the book case

Mignonette · 10/12/2013 20:10

I remember those days of babies V Christmas trees well Anni. I once found a string of Lamina in my sons nappy where he had eaten it and seen it go through him. He really did poop glittery shit that day Shock!

My daughters tree looks gorgeous. Here's a photo of the American Spaniel living with her. This is her Christmas message to you all.

Husband has just returned home with a 'Seasonal' door mat. A big Father Christmas in all his garish glory on a navy blue background. This joyous object will be with me until 12th night. Oh yes Xmas Hmm

I dug out some of my old packed away clothing earlier and found a gorgeous pinkish/beige paillette midi skirt. Sequins are attached to a layer of tulle over a satin underskirt. I forgot I had it. So that may be another seasonal outfit to wear with a sharp crisp shirt, a tucked in long sleeved T or a fluffy boiled wool cropped sweater in baby blue. I saw a fabulous outfit in a Miss Selfridge supplement that came last week- a silver leather pencil skirt, palest shell pink shimmer sweater and baby blue coat (Car coat style) with a fur collar. SUCH beautiful Tippi Hedren colours. That is the look I want to emulate.

Here it is.

Oh I want.

Gorgeous dogalog Mig are you feeling better?

shopafrolic · 10/12/2013 20:15

Am about to put my tree pic up

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 20:18

Gorgeous doggie!!

mig I really must meet you. Your style sounds amazing. Oh yes, let's all jet off to Paris for a week of prosecco and shopping!

I put chocolates on the tree whilst dc at school/nursery. It took little dd about 2 seconds to notice them when she got back and eat 3 of them! She really is a little monkey. I don't think I can risk putting presents under the tree this year. one can't believe you've had to put your tree away. I doubt our 2 cats have even noticed. They're such lazy buggers-one spends all day/night on our bed, the other on dd bed.

Drywhiteplease · 10/12/2013 20:23

Evening all.......Xmas Grin

QueenCi feel for you! brace yourself! remember the VW handbag debacle? Ever since I send DH links or idiot proof ideas Xmas Grin
Mig MNV house party.....OMG, I now have 3 pairs of metallic heels I haven't worn, I need an opportunity to wear them!

Kind of traumatic day. Had to take DDs beloved guinea pig to the vet. Made decision to put her down (I had warned dcs this might happen). Was v decisive and joked to 15yr old vet that I wouldn't cry, then burst into tears Xmas Blushand blubbed all the way home it's only a bloody rodent, get a grip Dry . Texted DH who was about to give a big presentation Xmas Shockand like a bloody hero has just got home to bury her I'm crap at digging.Put her in one of my precious shoe boxes Xmas Shock lined with pink tissue paper with a pink rose between her paws are you all crying yet? so she would look lovely for dcs to see her. Just buried her all together under the lilac tree, wearing head torches chicTimes like this make me love my family a lot. Pathetic softies that we all are Smile

Mignonette · 10/12/2013 20:27

I am feeling a little better, yes. Can you tell Shop?

Paris would be so lovely. And anybody that needs to bring children could because we could between us all manage to organise a child watching rota.

Am thinking a shared apartment in a Hotel Particuliere maybe in the Marais- the Avenue Ledru Rollin is where we stayed once time and another we stayed at the Phillippe Starck hotel 'Mama Shelter' near Pere Lachaise.

Am thinking Macarons and more macarons- the Parisien breeakfast of champions, Marriage Freres tea and hot chocolate, Merci, the coolest shop in Paris and Musee Du Quai Branly for a bit of culcha.

Mignonette · 10/12/2013 20:29

Dry I'd blub too. What a shame Flowers. They get into your heart, these little creatures.

I must say the burial sounds worthy of Eva Peron! A rose between its paws...awww and under the lilac tree....I am teary. I miss my cat.

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 20:31

Aw dry it's lovely that you did that for your DD. I'm sure it was a fitting send off to a well loved pet.

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 20:34

Dry that is wonderful, you bunch of loons. No am joking I love it, what a fab family you are.

Dh not keen on the glasses, well he is but they don't sit properly. Damn! He's saying just go to Cutler and Gross, just go. God am so excited about that, who knew glasses could be such a thrill.

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 20:35

lol at culcha. All sounds perfect Mig.

shopafrolic · 10/12/2013 20:41

Go to them then woman! Grin. All my frames have been adjusted in-store to fit....... We want pics, we want pics!

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 20:46

Ah it's like an internal battle between my tight side (you know the one that chooses tuna only when reduced and never buys work wear for meetings and leaps on outnet clearance sales) and my flash side. Who knew they met in the middle at glasses.

I mean two frames for £75. All included. All included!

Or Cutler and Gross - a trillion pounds but such beauty.

Will ponder.

shopafrolic · 10/12/2013 20:48
