do it queenc!

mig that holiday would be amazing. let's do it.

looks like I am getting a laptop for christmas, mine has gone to the laptop graveyard in the sky. so sad [cry].

I am half looking for a lovely case - any suggestions? there was an anya h pink one on the outnet for £35 but it was too big. it's for a 13inch macbook pro.

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:14

I am a bad person Grin

However, I can't find any emails from them. The box is rather large. I've already checked to see if they I kitchen aids. They don't. So goodness knows what he's got me....

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:16

foxy dull question, but are you going for apple again and if yes, why? Just asking as dh needs a new laptop and he can't decide whether to pay more for an apple and if it's worth it.

Annianni · 10/12/2013 14:18

Does your dh use the same passwords for things Queenc?
I'd be logging on the site to see the order :o

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 14:20

I'm fairly certain DP has got me something musical this year but I can't work out what. I've had my eye on so many different instruments that it could be anything!

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:20

I bought this hat whilst Christmas shopping this morning. It looks fab . I think I am almost done but just had to add in a few bits after they wrote to father Chridtmas at the weekend. Little dd wants peppa pig toys but all I can seem to find are big sets. I just want some individual characters. Will need to do online search.

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:21

Ooh anni hadn't thought about that...

foxysocks · 10/12/2013 14:22

yes. boring reasons - we both have apple laptops, phones and ipad, can sync it all and are getting some fancy backup thing too which backs up whole house hourly. overkill? possibly but having lost three months business accounts (weeps into camomile tea) I think it's wise.

it's not new - someone he works with is upgrading, we are buying theirs.

RubyLovesShopping · 10/12/2013 14:24

Queen c we have pp toys some that come in packs of 2. Yes log in to the site if you can it will prepare you for what you may be getting. Or break into the box and rewrap with parcel tape and claim it came like that.

RubyLovesShopping · 10/12/2013 14:28

these

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:33

For some reason the site wasn't letting me sign in so I went through his history on his iPad. It looks like it's a chocolate fountain Hmm. Oh well, the dc will enjoy it. Bless him, he obviously put a lot of thought into it but I'm glad I'm prepared for the disappointment of opening it. For ny lurkers out there, I know I sound ungrateful but that money would have been better spent on a handbag or jewels Grin

ruby where did you get your peppa toys from?

RubyLovesShopping · 10/12/2013 14:37

Could potentially be a surprise for the dc instead??
Tesco John Lewis and sainsburys all have them.

RubyLovesShopping · 10/12/2013 14:39

Aha but you do live chocolate so it was well intentioned. But yes I would rather the bag/clothes contribution instead too.

Sleepwhenidie · 10/12/2013 14:41

Nothing exciting in the heavy yellow bags I'm afraid guys, but I somehow managed to spend almost £100 on posh chocs for DH/DMIL and DBIL and overpriced marshmallows and jellybeans for dc's stockings Xmas Shock! Other than that it was odds and ends for various family members and gift cards from all the parents at DS1's nursery - dull Sad. I saw a couple of nice tops but can't buy with sales imminent. Sounds like I missed all the Outnet sale drama and excitement again Hmm?

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 14:55

Just got I by a whisker, last day to order turkey from butcher. £50!

QueenCadbury · 10/12/2013 14:56

ruby I know. I'm going to stop being so ungrateful. You will all be so jealous on Christmas Day when I post photos of it.

Annoying those peppa pig toys get delivered in random packs. We already have some figures so I guess I'm going to have to traipse to a toys hop/supermarket.

Decameron · 10/12/2013 15:04

DD1 is not too itchy today, thanks, and lying on the sofa watching a movie with a comic and a bag of buttons. DD2 is very bored of being home so much, however. I bet she will have it over Christmas. I'd be happy to get DD1 to lick a Christmas card and will send it the virus to you, Marsha! Great shopping. I almost bought a DVF top but wasn't sure about the colour.

Happy birthday, Turquoise.

Glad you've come to a decision, Santa.

QueenC, Boots have small sets of Peppa Pig figurines, I need to get some for DD2.

AmberNectarine · 10/12/2013 15:08

I'm going to piss queenC off by mentioning we have boxes for Jimmy Choo, Harvey Nics, Matches, Cos etc on our dining table (I know, I'm a spoiled brat). Pinterest boards are the way to go peeps.

Couldn't get on board with Outnet clearance. I'd be buying for the sake of it as I didn't love anything. Could have been tempted by the Gracie but I already have one.

Am pondering whether to buy 5050s - fear they may emphasise my fat knees. First world problems eh?

Christmas party tomorrow - do I wear gold, green or cobalt?

Love to all and apologies for useless self involved post x

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 15:25

Channeling my inner children's TV presenter today in a bright green t-shirt and black pinafore dress. My sister would say I should be ashamed of wearing this outfit but I feel no shame at all, not even a smidge Xmas Grin

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 17:16

Decam I was wondering if that would work Grin

I just had my eyes tested, really had to try not to burst out laughing when she got in really close and you have to look in their direction. My frames are here, I am so excited about it it's not funny.

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 17:18

I love getting new frames Marsha they can change the way you look so easily. I'm due my eyes testing after new year but I'm already certain they've got worse. I'll be looking for new frames then

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 17:21

My eyesight hasn't changed for many years apparently - they do this test with the old glasses. It's just that my current ones are being held together by sellotape!

I'm very much enjoying using glasses direct One.. so far!

OneLittleLady · 10/12/2013 17:45

I've used them before marsha and always had good service and the glasses have been brilliant.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 10/12/2013 18:57

Shop you weren't offensive at all, my lovely. I was merely trying to scroll down the page and touched the hyper-sensitive 'report' button by accident, for which I am sorry.

Have received my black version (sold out now) of this sweater today. Thought it looked tiny when I opened it, but it is super-soft and actually fits nicely -very neat. Think I'll wear it christmas day with elderly (but lightly-worn) sequinned Zara skirt for just the right sparkle/cosy balance.

MarshaBrady · 10/12/2013 19:16

That's lovely Grumpy. I don't know what to wear. I thought the Rag&B dress but realised it's far too party.
