Linus I can't spend ATM either - the thought that I might buy something and then see it in the sales is too much for me!

Wow - all so cynical today! (apart from One and Grumpy) Need to get the Christmas mood going...

All together now..'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you gooooooo, take a look at the five and ten, glistening once again,......'

MarshaBrady · 06/12/2013 15:05

Haha I know, perhaps a new ultra tweed agency won the account. Ok I'll stop now Grin

Just saw ds2's nativity. Very cute. Very Christmassy. To make up for the above.

MarshaBrady · 06/12/2013 15:09

Haha I wonder if a new ultra twee agency won the account, ok will stop now Grin.

But did see ds2' nativity today, very sweet, makes up for the above.

MarshaBrady · 06/12/2013 15:10

Bugger it did post the first time. On the move. Distracted.

Mignonette · 06/12/2013 15:10

Hello!

I have been disgracing myself with James Martin.

How are you all?

I really like this dress from Heimstone. What do you all tink. Be honest now Grin. And these pants are very cool along with that sky blue shirt.

OneLittleLady · 06/12/2013 15:14

I love the dress Mig I wish I had the legs for it Envy

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 15:19

My last bah humbug I promise but I met James Martin IRL (used to have a big lust for him) - he was rude and grumpy - .
Like the pants Mig but not the dress (but then my entire wardrobe is pretty much trousers and very few dresses). Don't trust me…. I know nothing.

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 15:34

Not sure if I mentioned this before but if you haven't already then Google Portable North Pole……Xmas Smile

Annianni · 06/12/2013 15:37

Is that the emails off FC Shop?
Ds1 loves them, think we've done it for the past 2 years :o

MarshaBrady · 06/12/2013 15:44

Mig really like the pants, great with blue. Not sure on dress, might be short on material.

OneLittleLady · 06/12/2013 15:47

have got my pickled onions soaking, I stink of onion now though Xmas Hmm

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 16:06

Yup Anni - they're brill

OneLittleLady · 06/12/2013 16:11

I wish DS still believed in FC. Sadly though, he told me at four years old that he knew it was me who bought presents as he could hear me wrapping them in my bedroom late at night and that he'd seen scraps of wrapping paper around my bed!

Drywhiteplease · 06/12/2013 16:12

Plenty of Christmas cheer here Xmas Smile........b fuzz and stollen with my dear friends. The Glade plug in is disgustingly over powering, but it does smell Christmassy will switch off before I asphyxiate a child Christmas cD on at work for 5hrs no kids, long story yes very Christmassy Xmas Grin

Samta and Anni big stuff for you both....thoughts are with you.

Shop and Marsha I'll be with you both in spirit tomorrow .

I'm not the biggest KM fan don't like the heroin chic/anorexic look she stood for in her youth and she always looks like she needs a good bath but if I looked like her I wouldn't complain, she's still above average looks wise.

santamarianovella · 06/12/2013 17:46

Thank you all Thanks your posts are very helpful and are keeping me from driving myself insane!
The move would still be in Europe, and and very close to the uk,but it won't be long , 18-24 months, maximum, and its a big step for dh,really good position, but it means we need to sell our house ASAP,we saw two properties that are good but they need a lot of work, really alot ! and he expects me to make a descion now! It's not like buying a dress!its a huge step,I don't want to decide on second best and regret it later!

and another issue which is what causing us all the distress,is schooling, dss is in an excellent school that is impossible to get in,and although he had a bit of difficulty at the start,he is doing really great now,if we move there is no way to grantee a place when we come back, and if we decide to go ahead and move we do need to leave by the beginning of the next school term!

We talked about wether we stay put,and he fly back and forth during weekends and and holidays, but two years is a long time! And he is against it completely,so either we move as a whole or stay where we are,And ATM he travels on a monthly basis ,and its really taking its toll on him,its a stress fuelled job,so if he keeps his current job,I really fear for his health! So this new job means less travels and a bit of stability, which to be honest I miss!

Sorry for the mammoth post,im sure I don't make sense!

Back to fashion now! Smile

I have some questions:

Why to I have to login every time I want to post even though I've ticked "remember me"?

Why does the seam of a certain pair of skinnies always twist with wear and end up down the middle of my leg?annoying

And I think I need dark blue nail varnish to go with my new dress and I don't have time to buy any tomorrow this will bug me

Sleepwhenidie · 06/12/2013 19:03

Santa I feel for you. Would it be financially viable to rent out your current house? Surely the rent would more than cover renting wherever DH will be working (and possibly-extravagant I know, but...pay school fees to keep place open?)

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 19:32

Dry if you change devices between log ins, it will ask you to sign in again I think.
Certain jeans are cut so that the outer seam curves inwards to created the illusion of thinner thighs. This is true of Paige and Goldign Lures for definite - the woman in the Dressing Room was explaining it to me. So they aren't twisting in necessarily - they might just be cut that way.
Can't help with the blue nails……. sorry

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 19:34

Santa a friend of mine is going through a similar thing debating a relocation. Her DH has been offered his first position abroad. They aren't married. The country in question requires them to be married (they have 2 kids). So if he takes the job they have to marry in the next 8 weeks - not quite the romantic proposal she'd planned!

QueenCadbury · 06/12/2013 19:50

V difficult santa. I agree about staying as a family. Dh post in bristol was originally only for 6 months and I didn't want to leave my job or uproot dc for a short time so he moved without us. Within 2 months I'd handed in my notice and planned to move down anyway as it was just hideous being apart. Luckily a permanent position then became available so it all worked out.

If you do move what happens after the 18-24m. Would dh have a job or not? As sleep said do you need to sell? Can you rent? Would you be able to afford to buy another house if the prices go up in the next 2 years?
I'm sure you've thought about this already though.

Drywhiteplease · 06/12/2013 19:56

So what do I do?
Get in car, drive to late opening boots
I have nail varnish urban blue nail varnish Grin impulsive moi?

Santa PM

Drywhiteplease · 06/12/2013 19:57

Revlon "Urban" ....dark blue

shopafrolic · 06/12/2013 20:01

Paint them coral instead? Nice frock BTW

QueenCadbury · 06/12/2013 20:03

santa i've re read my post and it sounds really negative. Sorry, it wasn't meant to be. I just tend to cover all eventualities before making decisions.

LinusDKD · 06/12/2013 20:09

I can FedEx you some blue nail varnish from Switzerland. Xmas Wink

I agree, it is a lovely dress and coral nails might be a good alternative to blue.

santa (((hugs))) We never had to think about children when we moved countries but I can totally understand that it complicates matters.

I know that I could not bear to be live apart from DH for such a long time, I am already struggling enough as it is with his frequent traveling.
